"What's Wrong With the Trees?" [INTRODUCTION] When play begins, say "OH, you're here! The disease in the forest is only getting worse. You're our last resort. If you can't find a cure, no one can..." [Laboratory] The Laboratory is a room.The description of the Laboratory is "A few months ago, a deadly disease found its way to a patch of trees a few miles from here. It baffled many scientists who tried to research it and eventually led them to give up. Thankfully, a brave group of rouge scientists converted one part of their building to focus solely on this predicament. That wing of the building is formally known as The Lab." [Laboratory Entryway] The Laboratory Entryway is a room. The Laboratory Entryway is south of The Laboratory. [Road] The Road is a room. The Road is south of The Laboratory Entryway. The description of The Road is "The Road connects The Laboratory and The Corrupted Forest and makes it easy to get to. You'll often find cars on it." [Corrupted Forest] The Corrupted Forest is a room. The Corrupted Forest is south of The Road. The description of The Corrupted Forest is "The Corrupted Forest is a patch of trees that contracted the fatal disease. It is crucial to find the cure, even though you need a hazmat suit to go any farther. The hazmat suits are in The Laboratory." [Alligator Street] Alligator Street is a room. Alligator Street is east of The Laboratory Entryway. The description of Alligator Street is "There are alligators all around. watch your step." [Carweather Forest] The Carweather Forest is a room. The Carweather Forest is west of The Corrupted Forest. The description of The Carweather Forest is "This forest used to be much bigger, and popular, before the horrible disease destroyed half of it. Some people still go here, but it's been sort of ostracized recently: the only people who come here are old ladies and frantic TikTokers, desperate for good content." [Your House] Your House is a room. Your House is east of Alligator Street. The description of Your House is "Ah, home sweet home. Although, since the virus, it's become a small lab, filled with samples and test tubes, papers piled on the bed. It's gotten hard to call it a home anymore." [Sample Room] The Sample Room is a room. The Sample Room is east of The Laboratory. The description of The Sample Room is "A room filled with samples. What did you expect?" Talking to is an action applying to one visible thing. Understand "talk to [someone]" as talking to. Sage is a person in The Sample Room. Every turn when the player can see Sage: Say "You hear a clinking of test tubes. Around the corner you see Sage. They turn to you and say 'Hi friend! I'd love to chat but I'm kinda busy right now. Sorry!'" [Laboratory Hall] The Laboratory Hall is a room. The Laboratory Hall is west of The Laboratory. [Supply Closet] The Supply Closet is a room. The Supply Closet is north of The Laboratory. The Hazmat Suit is a thing in The Supply Closet. The description of The Hazmat Suit is "It's clear you haven't had to use these in a long time. They're filled with holes and covered in dust. You find one that will work and pull it out." The Dangerous Corrupted Forest is a locked door. The Hazmat Suit unlocks The Dangerous Corrupted Forest. The Dangerous Corrupted Forest is south of The Corrupted Forest. [Deep Corrupted Forest] The Deep Corrupted Forest is a room. The Deep Corrupted Forest is south of The Dangerous Corrupted Forest. The description of The Deep Corrupted Forest is "You have now entered the danger zone. if you went here without a hazmat suit, you would inhale the spores which would expand in your lungs and cause you to choke, or have them expand in your bloodstream, creating a clot. Either way you would die. Unfortunately, since it has the most concentrated spores, it is very important to your cause and worth the risk. Be careful." [Heart of The Corrupted Forest] The Heart of The Corrupted Forest is a room. The Heart of The Corrupted Forest is west of The Deep Corrupted Forest. The description of The Heart of The Corrupted Forest is "Here it is. The Heart of The Corrupted Forest, the deepest and most dangerous area of The Corrupted Forest. It's getting harder to breathe and you need to hurry. Your limbs hurt and the hazmat suit is getting hot. You've put yourself in quite the predicament." The Advanced Spore Clump is a thing in The Heart of The Corrupted Forest. The description of The Advanced Spore Clump is "It's sitting in the middle of a small clearing, almost glowing. It's lumpy, about the size of a baseball. You stand there for a second, just looking at it." After taking The Advanced Spore Clump: Say "You pick it up. It feels heavy. You feel a slight pride in yourself. But it's not over. You still need to make a cure. You soak in the pride a second, then get going." The Big Book of Cures is a thing in Your House. Every turn when the player can see The Big Book of Cures: Say "There's a book on your table. It's big and green and covered in dust. It's titled 'The Big Book of Cures, by S.L. Wareroom.' Odd, you think to yourself. You've never seen this one before. You decide to open it up. On the front page there's a table of contents. The first chapter says 'Easy fixes.' The second, 'Mild cures.' The third, 'Difficult vaccines.' And the fourth: 'Impossible ailments.' You open to 'Impossible ailments. ' After looking a while you come across a section called 'Doomsday Cures: The easiest cures for the most dangerous diseases.' You flip through it till one catches your eye: 'The Advanced Spore Clump The Laboratory Courtyard is a room. The Laboratory Courtyard is west of The Laboratory Entryway..' The drawing of it is lumpy and misshapen. The passage below reads 'The Advanced Spore Clump: If you cannot find a cure to your disease whatsoever, and it's a plant disease, then you need an Advanced Spore Clump. You'll find it in the heart of the corrupted area, and then bring it back to start working on the cure. But be careful! They need to be handled with caution.' You close the book now knowing what to do: you need to find that clump." [Laboratory Courtyard] The Laboratory Courtyard is a room. The Laboratory Courtyard is west of The Laboratory Entryway. [Puppy Room] The Puppy Room is a room. The Puppy Room is north of The Supply Closet. The description of The Puppy Room is "You find a room through a secret door in the back of The Supply Closet that is filled to the brim with puppies. 'What the hell?!' You think to yourself. You hesitate a second and then sloooowly close the door. On the door you see a nameplate upon which says 'Halle's secret stash.' Whoever Halle is, you think, they must have lost it." The Secret Room is a room. The Secret Room is west of The Laboratory Courtyard. The description of The Secret Room is "You see a door on the side of the opposite building. It's flung wide open. Inside you see a strange machine. Below it is a plaque that says 'Cure-Making Machine.' convenient, you think to yourself." [Cure-Making Machine] The Cure-Making Machine is a room. The Cure-Making Machine is west of The Iron Door. The description of The Cure-Making Machine is "The machine is sitting on a podium. After some trial and error you figure out how it works and turn it on. You plop in The Advanced Spore Clump and prepare to wait. A few minutes later, out pops a small vial filled with purple liquid: the cure. You put a top on it and walk over to The Laboratory to give it to the scientists. Finally, you can go home and take a rest. The End." [Iron door] The Iron Door is a locked door. The Iron Door is west of The Secret Room. The Advanced Spore Clump unlocks The Iron Door.
