 The Cabin is a room. "You enter a cabin. There is a wooden door on the west that leads to The House and on the wall there is a giant  compass pointing to the east." 

The wooden door is a closed locked door. The metal key unlocks the wooden door. The wooden door is west of the cabin.

The House is a region. It contains the bedroom, den, and the cellar. The den is a room. The bedroom is a room. the cellar is a room. The den is west of the bedroom.   

There is a table and a refrigerator  in the cabin. 
The description of the table is "It is made of solid oak." 

There is a broken photo on the table. The description of the broken photo is "A ripped photo of a girl and somebody's arm around her is all that remains."

The refrigerator is a closed openable container. Inside the refrigerator is yogurt and a golden key. The yogurt is edible. The description of the yogurt is "Healthy and Delicious!" The description of the golden key is "It probably unlocks something valuable."

The backyard is east of the cabin and west of the canyon.

The backyard is a dark room.
