The abandoned town is a room. "Several abandoned houses stand ahead of you. Vegetation is wildly overgrown, through crack in house walls, pushing through roofs. Some of the houses seem seconds from collapse."

The town hall is a room. The town hall is east of the abandoned town. "An area seemingly used for important gatherings. The rest of the town circles around it."

The ruined house is a room. The ruined house is east of the town hall. 
"Like most of the houses in the town, it is very run down. The growing vines seem to have been forcibly ripped out. The brick is chipped, and everything is covered in a thick layer of dust and cobweb."  

The brick house is a room. The brick house is north of the ruined house.
"The house seems out of place. A well-maintained, quaint residence. A small fireplace stands at the east wall of the house, with a small taupe couch in front of it. A brown fabric drapes the length of it."

The brown fabric is an object. The brown fabric is in the brick house.

The description of the brown fabric is "Apparently a cape. A few stitches seems too have been messily pulled out from the base of the cape's hood."

The elderly lady is a person in the brick house. 

[If brick house is visited] "An elderly lady, maybe mid-seventies, looks at you curiously. You may want to ask her some questions, possibly about herself?
'My, it has been a while since someone has wandered into this lonely town of mine'" 

After asking the elderly lady about "herself", say "'Oh, me? I'm just a lonely old lady. I was too weak to leave the town after the incident. So I just stay here nowadays, in case young travelers such as yourself happen upon this town. I go by Adelaide.'"

Understand "Adelaide" or "lady" as the elderly lady.

After asking the elderly lady about "incident", say "'Oh, the incident. Yes. I'm sure you would be interested. Anyone would. Well, it happened a long time ago. There is a enchanted forest that surrounds these parts, and it is filled with the most awful creatures. These creatures are extremely resentful towards humans. One day, those creatures attacked us out of nowhere, burned down our houses, stole our people, even destroyed our church. We were able to just barely push them back through a door, and seal them in there forest. Most people left the village after they destroyed the church. It was such a nice church too. Tall marble columns, masterfully carved statues, oh, I seem to have been ramblings, my apologies dear.'"

After asking the elderly lady about "creatures", say "'The creatures, child, are dreadful beasts that mask as humans. They control the earth, are made of it. Hair entwined with thorned vines and bark covering their bodies. They ruined our harvest, leaving us for starvation during winter.'"

After asking the elderly lady about "church", say "' Oh, if only I could visit it again. Sadly, these old bones can't carry me as well as they once did. If you would, could you visit the church in my steed, and let me know if it survived the attack? The key is in the kitchen. Thank you dear.'"

The kitchen is a room. The kitchen is north of the brick house. 
"A small kitchen, barely speckled with dust. The warmth in the room suggests it had been used recently."

The table is an object. The table is in the kitchen.

The gold key is on the table. The gold key unlocks the stained glass door.

The description of the stained glass door is "A mosaic of glass textiles, casting colored light on the floor. It depicts an angel reaching out for the devil."

The stained glass door is a closed locked door.  The stained glass door is south of the empty room. The stained glass door is north of the ruined church.

The ruined church is a room. "Open to the world, only the base, and few low standing walls are all that remain in the ruins. Ripped painting and broken stone statues lean against the remain walls. You can see white flowering trees dotting the outside the church."

The prayer room is a room. The prayer room is south of the ruined church. "Tucking into the corner of the church, encased with the most intact walls in the ruins. A half standing statue is in the room."

The hidden cellar is room. The hidden cellar is west of the prayer room. 
"Tucked behind the statue, you stumbled into a small cellar. The room smells of damp stone. Why would a church have a hidden cellar? Probably just the area where equipment was stored. You can see a crumbling staircase leading down." 

The crumbling stairs is a door. The crumbling stairs are down from the hidden cellar and up from the marble foyer. 

The marble foyer is a room. The marble foyer is down from the crumbling stairs and east from the choir room.
"Several meters down below the church, grand gold and marble columns towered above you. Polished marble was set on the floor in huge tiles." 

The choir room is a room. The choir room is west of the marble foyer. 
"A stark contrast to the white marble foyer, grey and black marble cover the open space.  A wooden choir stand is the main focal point, enclosed with a low standing warm wood barrier. An organ stands next to the stand. You can vaguely see something tucked into the stand."

The organ is an object. The organ is in the choir room.

The description of the organ is "A pipe organ spanning half the wall. The keys are yellow and worn, nail marks and scoffs adorn each key, though the keys making up the deepest octave are significantly more worn than the next. A few white petals can be seen on the floor surrounding the organ."

The description of the choir stand is "Rickety leveled stands, numbers are engraved into the seemingly once grand platforms. A handful of dark brown cloaks are draped along the floor beneath each level."

The cloaks is an object. The cloaks are on the choir stand.

The description of the cloaks is " Smooth fabric, adorned with hood and immensely long cape. Small numbers are embroidered into the nape of the hood. The numbers seem to match the numbers on the stand. There is something familiar about them."

The altar is a room. The altar is west of the choir room. 
"Heavily adorned with numerous gold embellishments and once vibrant painting, the area seemed to have been the most well-maintained and important use during the church's run-time. There are, however signs left from the attack. Numerous painting have slashes in them, seating areas are broken and splintered. Small statues are dented and bent, and candle stands are knocked over and in pieces.  A grand altar is placed near the southern most wall. (refer to grand altar as such in commands)"

The description of the grand altar is "A huge block of marble and wood. The surface seems to have been extremely well-kept in the past. The grey, white, and rose marble surface seems the have been scrubbed clean up till the surface is not longer smooth to the touch."

The iron key is on the grand altar. The iron key unlocks the iron door.

The description of the iron door is "Cold to the touch, the door is slowly losing the fight to rust. The handle feels heavy in your hand."

The iron door is a closed locked door. The iron door is west of the empty room. The iron door is east of the dark corridor.

The dark corridor is a room. "Dark arches make up the hall. Torches ever-flaming line the dark grey walls, casting just enough light to carry you to the next torch."

The weapons display is a room. The weapons display is south of the dark corridor. "A slight dent in the dark corridor. A steel, armored statue is stationed, along with an engraved sword, stained with what could be blood."

The staircase is a door. The staircase is down from the weapons display. The staircase is up from dimly lit alcove. 

The dimly lit alcove is a room. The dimly lit alcove is down from the staircase."Damp, filled with the scent of wet soil and vague undertones of metal. A floor of uneven stone lines the small room"

The gated door is a door.  The gated door is a locked closed openable door. The gated door is south of the dimly lit alcove. The gated door is north of the dungeons.

The rustic key is in weapons display. The rustic key unlocks the gated door.

The dungeons are a room. "Robbed of most light, the unsettling smells lingers, along with a strangely sweet undertone. Mounted handcuffs and barred doors overtake the walls." 

The silver key is in the dungeons. The silver key unlocks the silver door.

The morgue is a room. The morgue is east of the dungeons. "Dozens of stone caskets fill the room. The smell is strongest here"

The stone casket is an object. The stone casket is in the morgue. The stone casket is a closed, openable container. 
 
The description of the stone casket is "A holding place for a body, the sweet smell is uncomfortable strong around it."

The shriveled flower is inside the stone casket. 

The small bronze key is in the stone casket. The small bronze key unlocks the wooden door.

The description of the shriveled flower is "Growing around the burlap sheet covering the body, numerous small, five-petaled white flowers are found. They seem to be the source of the sweet smell. You wonder why they are there."

The silver door is a door. The silver door is east of the morgue and west of the altar. 

The silver door is a closed locked door.

The description of the wooden door is "An African Mahogany door. Rough to the touch, it seems as if the door never made it to the sanding phase."

The wooden door is a closed locked door. The wooden door is east of the empty room. The wooden door is west of the mystic forest.

The mystic forest is a room. "Mist swirls through the tall trees, the dark, smooth tree trunks maze around you. Branches near the tree top obscure the light."

The circle of trees is a room. The circle of trees is north of mystic forest. " Black trees, with bright silver markings. Each of these trees are significantly smaller than the ones surrounding them."

The spirit is a person in the circle of trees.
"A shapeless blue form stands in the center of the circle. The translucent form seems to be focused on you. 'Show is not always substances, traveler, audi vocem populi non unius'"

The blackthorn meadow is a room. The blackthorn meadow is north of the circle of trees. "Dozens of flowering blackthorns stand in rows, a shower of endless white petals rain down from the trees."

The creature is a person. The creature is in the blackthorn meadow. 
"A regal looking creature stands looking at a tree. Small flowers grow from his hair and he nearly blends in with the surrounding trees. Maybe ask him about himself?"

After asking the creature about "himself", say "'I, sadly, am one of the few remaining... dryads you say in your tongue. My people once inhabited this forest, helped grow the trees, cleaned the water, hold down the earth. Most of us would've grown old with the forest. But now they decorate the earth with this graveyard.'"

Understand "dryad" as the creature.

After asking the creature about "graveyard", say "'This meadow. When my people die, we go back into the earth, our death brings life. All these blackthorns were once a living dryads. The spirit was one of us.'"

After asking the creature about "spirit", say "'You've likely seen it already, if you passed through the circle. Though many of us died before our time, their bodies rest in our forest so they can rest in peace. However, many of us were slaughtered that night, away from the forest's refuge. The spirit is the manifestation of their unrest-ed soul.'"

After asking the creature about "Adelaide", say "Have you met the witch? Adelaide Malus, the head of the church. She believes humans are a superior species, and detested us for our humanoid shape. Claimed we were trying to imitate humans to gain power. Our people are drawn to nature, so when her village lay down their settlement, we often helped the grains of their farms grow. However, we would also pull fertilizers and pesticides out of the soil, to preserve our forest. The witch caught one of us, a young dryad who was most curious than the rest, tampering with the soil. She captured him, and during the next church gathering, sacrificed him. Then it became tradition. We were gathered by the dozens, we are a peaceful race, so they didn't have much difficultly in the beginning. Those captured weren't heard from. Then we resisted, war broke out, our kind was nearly completely wiped out. The remaining fled, and we are now locked here, trapped behind the door." 

After asking the creature about "elderly lady", say "Have you met the witch? Adelaide Malus, the head of the church. "Off a column of smooth stone, several streams of water cascade down into the azure pond at their base. Surrounded by lush greenery, walls of shrubs and low laying plants surround and guard the lake. "

The souls are a person. The souls are in the waterfalls. 

[If the waterfalls is visited] "Blue lights flicker over 'You've made it this far, have you? Et levavi nebula? Important choices lay ahead of you now. The turning point lies not far from here. Prudenter eligere.'"

The cave is a room. The cave is east of the waterfalls. 
"Deciding to get closer to the falls, you run your hands under the water, gliding them along the rock. Suddenly, your hands no longer touch the cool surface, and push against open space. Stepping through the flowing water, you stumble upon a small mossy cave, previously hidden from plain sight. Barely large enough to spread out your arms fully, you look around to see green covered walls and wet stone.'"

The clay box is an object. The clay box is in the cave. The clay box is a closed openable container.

The description of the clay box is "Also invisible against the the stone walls, the moss covering it makes it much harder to notice."

The ivory dagger is inside the clay box.

The description of the ivory dagger is "'A dull white blade, sheathed inside an engraved sheath. The blade  varies from shard to dull along the edges, and you can see dried blood staining it. You can fainting make out something carved into the handle. A.M.'"

The single blackthorn flower is in the clay box.

Understand "give [something] to [person]"as giving it to. 

Before giving bronze key to creature:
now the creature carries the bronze key;
say "You present the key to the dryad. After a moment of confused observation,his face morphs into one of recognition. 'That...is that... the key that locked up in. All these years of being trapped in our home,caged, we can finally...we're free. gratias tibi' He slowly wraps his hand around the key, and lifts it out of your hands."; award 100 points.

Every turn while in the blackthorn meadow:
if the creature carries the bronze key
begin; say "You abruptly awaken in an empty room. Four doors surround you, it all looks familiar. However, all are open, and lead out to large open meadow. Bright green grass, pools of blue and red and violet flowers, and one lone blackthorn, flowering"; end the game in victory;
end if.

Before giving blackthorn flower to the the elderly lady:
now the elderly lady carries the blackthorn flower;
say "After learning about the church, and the creatures, you decide that you'd rather side with Adelaide. Clearly she won the war and has access to more of the land. When you returned to the town, she was fairly anxious, in her defense, you took far too long for the trip to have been limited to the church. However, once you presented the flower to her, it became apparent that you knew the truth, yet agreed with her perspective. She quickly snatched the flower from your hand and crumbles it. Darkness overtakes you."; award 100 points.

Every turn while in the brick house:
if the elderly lady carries the blackthorn flower
begin; say "You open your eyes to a familiar sight. The high roofs of the altar tower beautifully over you, yet something is wrong. However much you try, you are unable to move. An elderly lady stands upon you, as you lay on the altar, 'Its your turn now, dear traveler'"; end the game in death;
end if.

Before giving ivory dagger to the the elderly lady:
now the elderly lady carries the ivory dagger;
say "After learning about the church, and the creatures, you decide that you'd rather side with Adelaide. Clearly she won the war and has access to more of the land. When you returned to the town, she was fairly anxious, in her defense, you took far too long for the trip to have been limited to the church. However, once you presented the flower to her, it became apparent that you knew the truth, yet agreed with her perspective. She quickly snatched the flower from your hand and crumbles it. Darkness overtakes you."; award 100 points.

begin; say "You open your eyes to a familiar sight. The high roofs of the altar tower beautifully over you, yet something is wrong. However much you try, you are unable to move. An elderly lady stands upon you, as you lay on the altar, 'Its your turn now, dear traveler'"; end the game in death;

Attacking it with is an action applying to two things. Understand "attack [person] with [something]" as attacking it with.

After attacking creature with:
	say â€œThe dryad chokes as the dagger sinks into him. His body slowly becomes limp and hits the ground. Blood slowly pools around him before being quickly absorbed into the soil. Slowly the creature slipped into death. As soon as the last breath left his body, a shrill yell rang through the forest. You quickly turns to look around the meadow, the spirits and souls float dangerously close, and continue to approach. Another shrill pierces the forests, and then they reach you. The loyalty of the spirits remains the same in death as in life. You never stood a chance" ;end the game in death.

After attacking elderly lady with:
	say â€œThe elderly lady lied to you. She hid her fangs well and shaped your initial viewpoint. She sacrificed dozens of creatures, and now lives scruff-free in her town.You pull the blade out of her side, her eyes widen as she collapsed. The serpent has been defanged" ;end the game in victory.
