"Gravitational Quandry" by Trent Daenzer

When entire game begins:
	say "You are an esteemed researcher working at a top secret facility under government contracts. Even though you have worked at this facility for several months now, you are still not sure what is exactly being conducted at your current place of employment. You are at work one day when the pressure in the room begins to fluctuate immensely. You lose consciousness and awake some time later."

Room 1A -- Data is a room. "The lights are flickering on and off. Various items have fallen to the ground. At the same time, several other items appear suspended in the air. No one else is in the room. There is a locked door labeled 'ARCHIVES' to the south and a door exiting the room entirely to the east."
A table is here.  The description of the table is "There is a security card on top of the table." The table is a supporter. The security card is in Room 1A -- Data. The security card unlocks Security Checkpoint 1. The description of the security card is "This appears to open Security Checkpoint 1."
A floating beaker is here. Instead of taking the beaker:
	say "This floating beaker appears to have its own gravitational field."
A floating vial is here. Instead of taking the floating vial:
	say "This vial appears to have its own gravitational field."
A floating pair of glasses is here. Instead of taking the floating pair of glasses:
	say "This pair of glasses appears to have its own gravitational field."
	
Door Archives is a door. Archives is locked. Door Archives is north of Room 2B -- Archives and south of Room 1A -- Data. "There are numerous filing cabinets and data terminals."
The description of Door Archives is "Looks like I need a key to get in here."

A cabinet is in Room 2B -- Archives. The description of the cabinet is "There appears to be a set of keys inside." The cabinet is a container. The firing key is inside the cabinet. The firing key unlocks the Gravitational Shutdown and the Gravitational Flux Booster.
A data terminal is in Room 2B -- Archives. The description of the data terminal is "November 19, 2032: It has been noted that we run an extremely high risk by housing both gravitational and paranormal weapons divisions of the company under one roof. Yet we have been assured by our lab rats that this risk is minimal and would never possibly happen even on the unluckiest of days."

The West Hallway is east of Room 1A -- Data. "This section of hallway is a part of a circular hallway around the core of the facility. The inner wall is structurally damaged and sounds as if it is being shaken apart.  The rest of the hallway is cordoned at both ends off by security checkpoints."
Window 1 is in the West Hallway. The description of Window 1 is "Outside in the core of the facility is a glowing blue singularity. Its gravitational field has already destroyed the entire northern section of the facility. As you continue to look, it continues to tear parts of the hallway you are standing in apart."
Door 1N is a door. Door 1N is north of the West Hallway. Door 1N is locked. The description of Door 1N is "This door appears jammed shut."
Security Checkpoint 1 is a door. Security Checkpoint 1 is south of the West Hallway and north of the South-West Hallway. Security Checkpoint 1 is locked. The description of Checkpoint 1 is "This door appears to be locked. I need a security card to open."

The description of the South-West Hallway is "This section of hallway is a part of a circular hallway around the core of the facility. The inner wall is structurally damaged and sounds as if it is being shaken apart. There is a door to Room 2A -- Maintenance further down the hallway. At the eastern end of the South West Hallway is a security checkpoint."
Door 1 SW is a door. Door 1 SW is west of the South-West Hallway and east of Room 2A -- Maintenance.
The description of the Room 2A -- Maintenance is "There are various machines powering the facility. Some are nonfunctional.  Only a few of the lights are on."
A workbench is in Room 2A -- Maintenance. The workbench is a container. A Hydraulic Ram is in the workbench. The Hydraulic Ram unlocks Security Checkpoint 2. The description of the workbench is "There appears to be a hydraulic ram inside."

Charlie is a person. Charlie is in Room 2A -- Maintenance. The description of Charlie is "Charlie the janitor looks pretty banged up. Try, 'Ask Charlie about what happened.'"
After asking Charlie about "what happened":
	Say "Charlie says 'I heard a loud noise coming from center of the facility. It sounded as if the sky was tearing. Then everything seemed to get very heavy, almost like I had weights on my shoulders. I went to go for my mop but I couldn't pick it up. I think this has to do with the new device that Professor Frank and his team are working on.'"
	
Security Checkpoint 2 is a door. Security Checkpoint 2 is east of the South-West Hallway and west of the South Hallway. Security Checkpoint 2 is locked. The description of Security Checkpoint 2 is "This door is locked. I need a hydraulic ram."

The description of the South Hallway is "This section of hallway is a part of a circular hallway around the core of the facility. The inner wall is structurally damaged and sounds as if it is being shaken apart.  There is a door to Room 3A -- Security Office further down the hallway. At the eastern end of the South Hallway is a security checkpoint."
Door 1 S is a door. Door 1 S is south of the South Hallway and north of Room 3A -- Security Office.
The description of the Room 3A -- Security Office is "There are locked weapon lockers in here. The lights flicker on and off."
There is a weapons locker in Room 3A -- Security Office. The weapons locker is a container. A Plasma Caster is in the weapons locker. The Plasma Caster unlocks Security Checkpoint 3.

Marcus is a person. Marcus is in Room 3A -- Security Office. The description of Marcus is "Marcus the security officer looks like he is extremely sick. Try, 'Ask Marcus about what happened.'"
After asking Marcus about "What happened":
	Say "Marcus says 'I was on break when my coffee started floating out of its mug. I tried to drink it any way when it suddenly got very heavy inside of me. Itâ€™s giving me a terrible gut ache. On top of that, all of the security checkpoints are jammed shut. I need to get them open so we can figure out what happened."

Checkpoint 3 is a door. Checkpoint 3 is east of the South Hallway and west of the South-East Hallway. Checkpoint 3 is locked. The description of Checkpoint 3 is "This door is held shut by debris on the other side. I will need a plasma cutter to get through."

The description of the South-East Hallway is "This section of hallway is a part of a circular hallway around the core of the facility. The inner wall is structurally damaged and sounds as if it is being shaken apart.  There is a door to Room 4A -- Synthesis Lab further down the hallway. At the northern end of the South East Hallway is a security checkpoint."
Door 1 SE is a door. Door 1 SE is east of the South-East Hallway and west of Room 4A -- Synthesis Lab.
The description of Room 4A -- Synthesis Lab is "There are various beakers full of chemicals. Many have fallen and broken. The floor is covered in glass and unknown chemicals, and the air irritates your lungs. The lights are slowly cycling on and off. "

There is a lab bench in Room 4A -- Synthesis Lab. The description of the lab bench is "There is a Door Charge on top of the table." A Door Charge is in Room 4A -- Synthesis Lab. The Door Charge unlocks Security Checkpoint 4.

Security Checkpoint 4 is a door. It is locked. Security Checkpoint 4 is north of the South-East Hallway and south of the East Hallway. The description of Security Checkpoint 4 is "This door is partially destroyed. I will need a door charge to get through."

The description of the East Hallway is "This section of hallway is a part of a circular hallway around the core of the facility. The inner wall is structurally damaged and sounds as if it is being shaken apart. There is a door to Room 5A -- Control Room further down the hallway. There is a security checkpoint at the northern end of the hallway."
Window 2 is in the East Hallway. The description of Window 2 is "The singularity has grown in strength and is beginning to tear larger portions of the complex into itself."
Door 1 E is a door. Door 1 E is west of Room 5A -- Control Room and east of the East Hallway.
Door 2 E is a door. Door 2 E is north of the East Hallway. Door 2 E is locked. The description of Door 2 E is "This door appears jammed shut."

A control panel is in Room 5A -- Control Room. It is a supporter. The storage key is on the control panel. The storage key unlocks Door Archives. The description of the Lock Disruptor is "This appears to open Room 2B -- Archives."

The Gravitational Shutdown is in Room 5A -- Control Room.  The Gravitational Shutdown is a container.  The Gravitational Shutdown is locked. After opening the Gravitational Shutdown:
	Say â€œThe gravitational anomaly withers and disappears. You hear the clattering of objects through the facility as their gravitational fields also disappear. ";
	end the story
	
The Gravitational Flux Booster is in Room 5A -- Control Room.  The Gravitational Flux Booster is a container. The Gravitational Flux Booster is locked. After opening the Gravitational Flux Booster:
	Say "The gravitational anomaly grows in power and rips the entire facility into its vortex.";

Professor Frank is a person. Professor Frank is in Room 5A -- Control Room. The description of Professor Frank is "Professor Frank appears to still be working at a data terminal despite what just happened. Try, 'Ask Professor Frank what happened.'"
After asking Professor Frank about "What happened":
	Say "Professor Frank says, 'I'm glad to see that there is someone still left in the building. This gravitational field in the middle of the complex is the culmination of my life's work. We were almost finished adding more controls when the gravitational field started acting up. As you can see it has already destroyed half of the facility. And isn't that far from destroying this end. You need to help me turn it off. I need you to get the manual override key from storage.'"

The description of Room 5A -- Control Room is "This room has most of its lights on. The control terminal and manual overrides for the singularity chamber is in here."
