"Drunken Night" by Anna Richman

The Foyer is a room. "You have just woken up at your friend's house  in a state of panic.  Last night, you and your closest 80 friends gathered at your friend's house to have a party. The night got a little too crazy, and everybody passed out drunk.  The first thing that you realize is that your keys to your house are missing.  The reason that you need the keys to your house immediately is because you have a job interview in one hour.  In order to get your keys to your car, (which are in your house), you must find your house keys.  Your only plan of action is to wander the house in search of either people or clues that will help you remember places to look."

The Small Brown Door is a door.

The Small Brown Door is east of the Foyer and west of the Living Room.

The Living Room is a room.
There is a couch in the Living Room. There is a television in the Living Room. There is a reclining chair in the Living Room. There is a bookshelf in the Living Room. There is a sidetable in the Living Room.  There is a book on the sidetable.
"You might want to examine the Living Room to find any clues that might allow you to remember where you went in the house last night.  You have a feeling that the key is on the first floor, so you should search that floor first."
After taking the book when the book is not handled: say "You see that this book is about cooking.  This reminds you that you were cooking in the kitchen last night! Maybe you should check the kitchen for your keys."

The White Door is a door.
The White door is unlocked.
The White Door is east of the Living Room and west of the Kitchen.

The Kitchen is a room. "While you are in the kitchen, you realize that you are very hungry and extremely thirsty. Maybe there is some sort of food or drink that you can have.  I mean, you could use some food before an interview."
There is an oven in the Kitchen. The oven is fixed in place.
There is a refrigerator in the Kitchen. The refrigerator is fixed in place.  The refrigerator is a container. The refrigerator is openable.
There is a large table in the Kitchen. The large table is fixed in place.
There is a stove in the Kitchen. The Stove is fixed in place.
There is a dishwasher in the kitchen. The dishwasher is fixed in place.
There is a counter in the kitchen. The counter is fixed in place.
There is a musicbook on the table. 
After taking the musicbook when the musicbook is not handled: say "This musicbook reminds you that you also played with the Piano last night!  If you remember correctly, the Piano can be found in the Dining Room."
The jar is a closed openable container in the Kitchen. The description is "It is a round glass jar with the word Cookies painted on the side."
A chocolate chip cookie is in the jar. It is edible.
After taking the chocolate chip cookie when the chocolate chip cookie is not handled: increase the score by 5; say "Yum! Even though it's not breakfast food, it's better than nothing!"

The Big Brown Door is south of the Foyer and north of the Dining Room.

The Dining Room is a room. "Here, you see your friend Jake sitting at a chair by the large wooden table. You also see your cell phone on the dining room table! Good thing you came in here.  If you sit in a chair by the table and take your cell phone, he might talk to you and give you a hint of what happened last night! You might as well give it a try."
There is a tiny table in the Dining Room.
There is a Piano in the Dining Room. The piano is fixed in place.
The Rusty Key is on the tiny table.
There is a large wooden table in the Dining Room.
The large wooden table is fixed in place. 
There is a brown chair in the Dining Room.
The brown chair is a portable enterable supporter in the Dining Room. 
There is a cell phone on the large wooden table.
The cell phone is portable.
After taking the cell phone when the cell phone is not handled: increase the score by 5; say "Jake tells you that you were helping your sick friend last night in the half bathroom last night. Maybe it is possible that your keys were left in there!"

The sliding glass door is a door.

The sliding glass door is south of the Dining Room and north of the Backyard.

The Half Bath is a room. The description of the Half Bath is "This bathroom seems to consist of nothing more than the very basics; a shower, sink and toilet. There is also a random cabinet placed awkwardly on the wall."

There is a small sink in the Half Bath. The small sink is fixed in place.
The cabinet is a supporter in the Half Bath. The description is "The cabinet appears to be standing alone against the wall. It has one drawer."
The drawer is an openable closed container and part of the cabinet. A green key is in the drawer.
After taking the green key when the green key is not handled: increase the score by 5; say "You remember that this green key unlocks the yellow door!"

The Pink Door is a door.
The Pink Door is unlocked.
The Pink Door is south of the Living Room and north of the Half Bath. 


The Yellow Door is a door. 
The Yellow Door is locked.
The green key unlocks the Yellow Door.
The Yellow Door is east of the Half Bath and west of the Empty Room.

The description of the Empty Room is "This room is trashed.  There is empty cans everywhere.  You see at least 5 people asleep on the cold hard floor. It looks as if nothing is going on in here."

The Black Door is a door.
The Black Door is unlocked.
The Black Door is south of the Kitchen and north of the Empty Room.

The Empty Room is a room.

The Backyard is a room. "It feels amazing to be outside.  There is a perfect breeze and the sun is shining.  If you hadn't been having such bad luck today, you might think that it was beautiful outside.
The Backyard runs along the entire back side of your friend's house. Just south of you is Lake Street, which happens to run directly into the Sun Room of your house."
The Breeze is a backdrop. The Breeze is in the Backyard. 
The glass table is scenery in the Backyard.

The Screen Door is a door.
The Screen Door is lockable and locked.
The metal key unlocks the Screen Door.
The Screen Door is east of the Lake Street and west of the Sun Room To Your House.

A staircase is a kind of door.  A staircase is always open. A staircase is always openable.
The brown staircase is a staircase. The brown staircase is above the Living Room and below the Play Room.

The Play Room is a room. "You remember being up here with your friends last night. Who knows what you did up here though.  Maybe you should search the room for clues."
There are board games in Play Room. The board games are portable. 
After taking the board games when the board games is not handled: decrease the score by 5; say "Don't get distracted! Put the board game down and find your keys!"

There is a desk in the Play Room. The description is "The desk is very messy.  It has one drawer that is already opened."
The open drawer is an openable container and part of the desk. A black key is in the open drawer.
After taking the black key when the black key is not handled, say "This black key unlocks the double door!"
There is a play chest in the Play Room. The play chest is a container. The play chest is openable and fixed in place. 

The Master Bedroom is a room. "There is a gigantic bed with mirrors everywhere. You have never seen a more elegant room.   Fortunately, it seems to be untouched.  It doesn't seem possible that you would have been in this room last night."

The Double Door is a door.
The Double Door is locked.
The black key unlocks the Double Door.
The Double Door is east of the Master Bedroom and west of the Play Room.


The Tiny Door is a door.
The Tiny Door is unlocked.
The Tiny Door is south of the Master Bedroom and north of the Bathroom.

The Bathroom is a room. "This bathrom is disgusting.  No matter how drunk you were last night, you do not think that you would have entered this room.  It appears to not have been cleaned in years."

The Exercise Room is a room.  "You can tell that this used to be a room where people exercised in, however all of the equiptment is either broken or rusted over."
There is a magazine on the floor. The magazine is portable.
After taking the magazine when the magazine is not handled, say "This magazine reminds you of last night when you took this magazine from the pile of magazines in the Study.  Maybe you should check the Study for your keys!"

The Wooden Door is a door.
The Wooden Door is unlocked.
The Wooden Door is south of the Play Room and north of the Exercise Room.

The Study is a room. "This room looks boring as well.  The only things in this room are a few empty bookshelves, some empty boxes and an elegant rug.  In defeat, you consider laying down on the rug, until you see your keys on the floor!"
There is a metal key in the study. The metal key is portable.
After taking the metal key when the metal key is not handled, say "FINALLY YOU FOUND YOUR KEYS! Now all you have to do is find your way out of this house and get back home!"


The Peach Door is a door.
The Peach Door is unlocked.
The Peach Door is east of the Exercise Room and west of the Study.

The Lake Street is a room. "This is such a familiar street for you.  You walk on this street multiple times a day.  It feels good to almost be home."
The Lake Street is south of the Backyard.

The Sun Room To Your House is a room.
The Screen Door is a door. 
The Screen Door is lockable and locked. 
The metal key unlocks the Screen Door.

The Screen Door is east of the Lake Street and west of the Sun Room To Your House.


After opening the Screen Door, end the story finally saying "Inside of the Sun Room, you find the keys to your car! Now you can go to your interview!"
