The chest is a lockable container. It is locked. Understand "box" as the chest. The Outer Room is south of the treasury. The table is in the outer room. A key is on the table. The key unlocks the chest. After taking the key: increase score by 1. The gem is a thing. "A sparkling diamond." Understand "diamond", "jewel" as the gem. After opening the chest: move the gem to the chest; say "The chest creaks open to reveal a beautiful jewel." Instead of examining the gem for the second time: say "Upon closer inspection you realise it's a fake."; increase score by 1; end the game in victory.
