When play begins:
	say "You are in the middle of a virus that has sent the world into a panic. There is no cure for the virus and everyone is freaking out, the end of the world has finally come. This zombie like virus has killed millions of people across the globe and no one knows how to stop it. You have decided to stay in your house and avoid the outside world. You have been staying in lock down with your friend Michael who went on a food run four days ago. He hasn't returned and you are beginning to worry if he is going to make it back alive. It is time for you to face your fears of the virus and find Michael."

The display banner rule is listed before the when play begins stage rule in the startup rules.


[Rooms]

Your House is a room.  Your House is east of Gas Station. "You live in a small one story house that only has one bedroom and one bathroom. Your house is pretty dark except for the light emitting from the few candles you have placed around your living room. The windows are boarded up and covered by the curtains, there is also a lot of trash and empty cans of food scattered around the house. You are running out of food! The Gas station is west of your house."

Gas Station is a room. North of Gas station is Grocery Store. "Run down and looks like it has been abandoned for weeks. The grocery store is north and the train tracks are south." 

Grocery store is a room. "Most of the food has been taken and there is only a couple things left on the shelf"

Train Tracks is a room. Train tracks is south of gas station. "There has been a car accident near the train tracks, I wonder what happened here?"

Michael's Cabin is a room. Michael's cabin is south of Cabin door."Your friend Michael's home, maybe he stayed here for a couple nights?"

Woods Entrance is a room. Woods entrance is west of Gas Station. The description of Woods Entrance is "The beginning of your long adventure towards the coast, there are many twists and turn along the way but make sure to not get lost."

Dead End in the Forrest is a room. Dead End in the Forrest is north of Woods entrance. The description of Dead End in the Forrest is "There is a dead horse crying for help that is being eaten alive by a horde of zombies. Turn around before they come for you!"

Woods Dead End is a room. Woods Dead End is west of Woods entrance. The description of Woods Dead End is "A herd of zombies is moving through this area, turn back before you alarm them!"

Woods Trail is a room. Woods Trail is south of woods entrance. The description of Woods trail is "Continue west on the trail to the city of Stockton"

The East side of Stockton is a room. The East side of Stockton is west of Woods trail. The description of the east side of Stockton is "Finally out of the woods and another step closer to finding Michael. Welcome to the Beautiful City of Stockton.

THERE ARE SURVIVORS HERE"

Down Town Stockton is a room. Down Town Stockton is west of The East side of Stockton. The description of Down Town Stockton is "You begin to get closer to the ocean and better your chances of reuniting while Michael, but in the streets there are zombies around every corner, time to get out of here"

North Stockton is a room. North Stockton is north of Down town stockton. The description of North Stockton is "Thousands of dead bodies are spread across the streets, there is blood on almost every surface. There are no survivors this way."

West Stockton is a room. West Stockton is west of Down Town stockton. The description of West Stockton is "You can see the ocean in the distance and you are getting closer to meeting back up with your friend Michael"

Docks is a room. Docks is west of West Stockton. The description of Docks is "You walked all this way to find that all of the boats are gone, it seems like everyone has evacuated the area. However you do see a sign that points south and reads, 'The survivors of Stockton'."

South Stockton is a room. South stockton is south of Down town Stockton. The description of south stockton is "There is a massive barricade blocking the south side of the city which is keeping the zombies out. Its too bad that didn't work in north stockton."

Survivor boat dock is south of survivors of stockton gate. The description of survivor boat dock is " You finally made it to the docks and found a boat, you and Jared hop on the boat together and head west towards the island."

Survivor Island is west of survivor boat dock. The description of survivor island is " You arrive to a small island where the survivors of Stockton have retreated to. There is around a couple hundred people that are all building homes from trees and leaves. You see Michael and he looks to be in great shape, you run up to him and give him a big hug. You explain how you were worried and didn't know if he was alive or not. He tells you about how he begged the boat captains to bring him back to the mainland to find you and bring you here, but they said they couldn't waste those kind of resources on one person. He also begins to tell you about how no one has really established themselves as the leader of the survivors and everyone is on edge. Things are peaceful here for the most part but the biggest treat on the island is the other survivors. How long will it be before someone gets hungry for power and how will the survivors figure out how to distribute resources, find out in Apocalypse Rising 2." 

North Docks is a room. North docks is north of Docks. The description of North docks is "A horde of zombies is heading your way, turn back before it's too late."

[Doors and Keys]

The Cabin Door is a door. The Cabin door is locked. The Cabin door is north of Michael's Cabin and south of Train Tracks. The description of the Cabin door is "The door to Michael's house". The matching key of the cabin door is the Cabin key. 

The Survivors of Stockton gate is a door. The Survivors of Stockton gate is locked. The Survivors of Stockton gate is south of Docks. The description of The Survivors of Stockton gate is "The gate to new civilization" . The matching key of the survivors of stockton gate is the Gate Key.

Cabin key is in Coffee Table. The description of Cabin Key is "Michael's House Key"

Michael's Map is in Michael's Cabin. The description of Michael's map is " A map of your home town with arrows all pointing west towards the ocean. There is a note in the bottom right that says (Head for the coast, it is the safest place and the best chance for survival)."

Note is in Michael's Cabin. The description of Note is "Went to find a boat, I will be back soon."

The gate key is in Jared's backpack.
