"The Shack"

The Side Path is a room. "You are on the path between two suburban houses. To the South is the front door to the 'Shack'. To the North is the brick wall of the house next door. To the East is the path. To the West is the path."

The Front Door is an open door. The front door is south of the side path. The front door is north of the front hallway.

The description of the front door is "The front door seems to be ajar. Were you expected, or did they leave in a hurry?"

The Front Hallway is a room. "You are in the short part of an L-shaped hall with many doors off it. To the North is the front door, to the East is Bryon's Room, to the South is the hallway corner."

Bryon's Room is a room. "You are in Byron's Room. It is a large room with a single window at the far end that looks out on a block of flats. A bookcase runs the length of one wall and on the other wall is a bed and desk. You get the impression that it may be a teenager's room (as there are clothes and books strewn all over the place)." Bryon's room is east of the front hallway.

The wooden desk is in Bryon's Room. "There is a wooden desk." On the wooden desk is a mug and a book and socks.

The description of the wooden desk is "The desk is the size of a small dining table and covered with books, stationery, a mug, and a couple of socks. A book lies open." 

The description of the mug is "The red mug says 'Go Away' on its side and is half-full with a dark liquid (that smells slightly off)."

The description of the book is "The book 'A Dummy's Guide to Windows XP' lies open on a page called 'How to hack your sister's computer'." 

The description of the socks is "Just, ewwww!"

The Hallway Corner is a room. "You are in the corner of the L-shaped hall. The wall is covered with antique mirrors.  To the North is the Front Hallway, to the East is Connie's Room." The hallway corner is south of the front hallway.

Connie's Room is a room. "You are in Connie's Room. It is a large room with a single window at the far end that looks out on a block of flats. Behind the door is a bed and desk. It smells like a teenager's room, yet confusingly it is very tidy." Connie's room is east of the hallway corner.

The metal desk is in Connie's room. "There is a metal desk." On the metal desk is a computer.

The description of the metal desk is "The desk is a raspberry colored 1990s computer desk - the kind you find at a second-hand store." 

The description of the computer is "This looks like an antique computer (well, it's over one year old). On the screen there are just lots of characters scrolling up very quickly, a bit like something from The Matrix."
