The Hallway is a room."The hallway is the gateway to the rest of the mansion. The hallway appears long and circular. The floor is planked wood that seems to creak when you step on it.  North of the hallway is the bedroom, and to the east is an experiment room. To the west is an office, and south of the hallway is the kitchen. The hallway walls are covered with paintings and wall decorations, which accent its flower-patterned wallpaper. There is a specific painting that especially stands out among the rest. It is of a young woman wearing a pearl necklace. She has a cat in her lap, which looks like it may be the same cat currently perched on its tree beside the painting. (Make sure you examine everything, including the cat)."

The big painting is in the hallway. The description of the painting is "Painting: An old portrait of a young lady covered in a thick layer of dust. It is surrounded by a wooden frame and it seems like the paint is starting to fade at the edges. The lady in the painting seems to be in her early twenties with eyes full of youth and creativity. She is wearing a lab coat with an extravagant pearl necklace. In her lap lays a gray cat. Looking at the painting makes you feel as if you're looking at another version of yourself." The kitty condo is in the hallway. The description of the kitty condo is "A brown cat tree. It looks as if it's been recently occupied... there is fur all over it."

The cat is a portable animal in the hallway. Understand "Pearly" as cat. 

The Kitchen is south of the hallway.

The Kitchen is a room. "The kitchen is squeaky clean, which is surprising considering the state of the rest of the mansion. The cupboards are all white, which matches the large marble island in the middle. The backsplash tiles are a combination of brown, taupe and turquoise, which doesn't really blend well with the cabinetry. You can see a food bowl in front of the sink, where Pearly sits, eating. There is also an old landline on the wall."

The fridge is in the kitchen. The fridge is a closed openable container. It is fixed in place. The blue letter is in the fridge. A microwave is in the kitchen. The microwave is a closed openable container. The can of beans is in the microwave. The oven is in the kitchen. The oven is a closed openable container. The island is in the kitchen. On the island is a yellow notepad and a pencil. The landline is in the kitchen. 

The description of the landline is "An old white telephone that looks like it's from 30 years ago. It still seems usable though, too bad there's no number to dial."

I miss you so much. It pains me to see you in this state while time seems to keep moving on. I will probably be retired by the time you see this but, I hope you will never forget me in your heart.

Instead of showing the blue letter to the cat, say "Um, I can't read. But that handwriting does look familiar. Is that from the nanny? It's been a while since I've seen her."

The description of the oven is "A double oven." 
 
The description of the microwave is "A standard microwave that appears to be slightly open." 

The description of the can of beans is "the can appears extremely rusted. The expiry date says October 30, 1989."


The can of beans is edible. After eating the beans, say "You spit it out. I thought canned foods never expired?" 


Instead of showing beans to the cat, say "'My food is in the cupboard if that's what you mean'."

The description of the notepad is " a yellow notepad with 837-3873 written on it. It looks like a phone number."

Instead of showing notepad to the cat, say "'Huh. Maybe you can use the landline on the wall to call the number.'"

The description of the pencil is " a standard yellow pencil."

The Bedroom is north of the hallway.

The Bedroom is a room. "You walk into a large bedroom with high ceilings. The walls are covered in the same floral wallpaper as the hallway. For some reason, the room seems familiar. There is a window seat in the corner of the room, with a cat bed on it. Pearly looks tempted to nap. The bookshelf adjacent to the bed looks like it hasn’t been touched in ages."

The bed is in the bedroom. 

The description of the bed is "bed with a purple patterned comforter. It is a perfectly made double bed. You see cat hair on the pillow though." 

The description of the cat is "A grey cat currently napping. It looks identical to the cat in the painting. It is wearing a pearl collar, with a name tag on it. It says 'Pearly' on it. Pearly appears to be sleeping peacefully, but she is so furry, you want to pet her." 

Understand "Pearly" as cat. 

Petting is an action applying to one visible thing. Understand "pet [something]" as petting.

The description of the vanity is "an antique-looking vanity that would sell for 500 dollars nowadays. There is a variety of makeup products, but they all look ancient. The lights on the vanity are bright and of all different colours. "


There is a jewelry box on the vanity. The box is a closed, openable container. In the box is a necklace. The description of the necklace is "A luxurious pearl necklace that seems like a precious antique, though it's been well-maintained, unlike the rest of the items on the vanity. Looking at it more closely, it kind of looks like the necklace the woman in the portrait was wearing." In the box is a red letter. 

The description of the red letter is "A red letter, that looks like it's been written long ago. It reads: Hey ------. It's been so long since I've heard a reply from you. I hope you're doing well. I'm writing this letter to invite you to my birthday party! It's going to be next month so I hope you’ll come. Thinking of my birthday reminds me of all the good times we had together. Remember when we used used use our favourite red juice to spin things around? That was such a good time! I hope to hear from you soon.

The Experiment Room is east of the hallway. 

The Experiment Room is a room."A dark mysterious room that is only illuminated by a dim yet bright blue light. Inside the room is a desk full of scattered papers and a beaker full of red liquid. A coat rack with many lab coats stands tall near the front of the room. Pearly appears to be playing with some empty beakers. There's also a shelf filled to the brim with jars full of liquids and animal parts."

The desk is in the experiment room. The desk is an object. It is fixed in place. The drawer is a part of the desk. The drawer is a closed openable container. The yellow letter is in the drawer. On the desk is a mysterious beaker, a lab coat, gloves and scattered papers. The lab coat is wearable. The gloves are wearable. The shelf is in the experiment room. The shelf is an object. The description of the yellow letter is "A letter, that looks like it's been written long ago. It reads: Hello my granddaughter. I'm sorry things had to turn out this way. If only I had been more careful with my experiments then you wouldn’t have gotten injured because of them. You may wake up one day or you might stay the way you are till the end of time. Whether you do wake up or not, I will probably be gone by then. I will never be able to forgive myself for taking away your youth. You don’t have to forgive me either but I just want you to know that I love you and will always be watching over you. Love, Grandma."


The description of the shelf is "A large shelf filled to the brim with jars containing a clear liquid and animal parts. The animal parts vary from eyes and ears to hearts and livers. Some jars are cracked and their liquid pools at the bottom of the shelf. One jar labelled 0737 stands out from the rest. Inside are a pair of ruby-red eyes that seem like they're looking right at you."

The description of the coat is "A white midlength lab coat with a few stains on it. Should you try to wear it?"
After wearing the lab coat, say "Wow I feel so smart now."

Instead of showing lab coat to the cat, say "(begins to walk away)." 

The description of the mysterious beaker is "A beaker full of a mysterious red liquid. The liquid is deep red, as if it were blood but the consistency is quite watery. It has a tart but somewhat fruity smell. If you didn't see the colour then you definitely would have thought it was cranberry juice. This cranberry juice look-alike smells a little funny. Why is everything spinning? Am I spinning towards the truth??"

Instead of showing mysterious beaker to the cat, say "(sniffs) 'you should take a better look at that'."

The office is west of the hallway. The office is a room."You are in the office. It looks quite modern compared to the rest of the house. Inside the office is a desk, and a chair. Multiple bookshelves surround the walls and deep red leather couches are placed around the fireplace. This office would be the perfect place to enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate if it weren't so dusty."

The description of the large desk is “A normal office desk with nothing on it. It seems that whoever was here before cleared out the office.”

The description of the chair is “An old worn out rolling office chair that has multiple cuts and rips. Is there an animal in here scratching up the chair?”

The description of the couches is “Wrinkled leather couches that remind you of milk chocolate surround the fireplace. You could probably fit around 9 people on all of them. Below the armrest of the couches are many scratches. You can see the filling of the couch starting to come out.”

The description of the fireplace is “A fireplace that emits no fire or warmth. Looking at it makes you feel a sense of warmth and comfort. Inside the fireplace are what remains of the firewood that was used.”

Instead of showing the fireplace to the cat, say "(sniffs) 'this smells weird'."

The description of the firewood is "the burnt remains of firewood from the last time this fireplace was used."

It looks as if you were shining a dull flashlight through a sapphire. Under the dust lays a few wooden crates, an old chandelier, and a Lego bin."

After examining the blue key: say "A deep blue key that hit perfectly in the palm of your hands. It seems to be made of some type of heavy blue rock. The deep blue captivates you with its shine and beauty."; award 70 points. A photo is in the storage room. It is fixed in place.
