Chapter 1 - Locked Cell

Part 1 - Cell Setting

The display banner rule is not listed in the startup rulebook.

Prison Cell is a room. " A small musty room with an Iron barred door to the north. A small amount of light seeps in through the iron bars and you see that the floor is covered in small puddles of dirty water."

Iron door is a door. Iron door is north of Prison Cell and south of Narrow Hallway.Iron door is locked. Iron door is scenery.
the description of Iron door is "a large heavy Iron door with a small slot at the bottom and iron bars half-way up."

the floor is in the prison cell.
the floor is scenery. the description of floor is "A stone floor that is covered in small puddles of human feces and moss. As you look around you see what looks to be a dead rat in one of the corners."


Iron bars are a thing. 
the description of Iron bars is "you peer through the bars and see a hallway extending to the east and west, with prison cells lining the far wall." 
Iron bars are scenery.

When play begins: say "You awaken to the sound of a metal plate sliding under the iron door of your prison cell."


Part 2 - Cell Mechanics

Key hole is a container.
The Bars are a thing. the Bars are fixed in place.
potion of strength is a thing. the potion of strength is edible.
bend bars is an action applying to one thing.
metal plate is a container.
metal plate is scenery.
metal plate is in the prison cell.  "a metal plate bent at the edges to keep food on it."

the description of the bread is "it looks fresh and smells wonderful".
slop is a edible thing. 
slop is in the metal plate.

a brass key is a thing. 
the description of the brass key is "a brass key that looks to be the prison cell key."

the description of the slop is "you can't really tell what the slop is but it feels slimy."

brass key unlocks the Iron door.
brass key is not fixed in place.
brass key is in bread.
brass key is not edible.
the brass key is a thing.
the brass key is portable.


Instead of eating the bread:
	if the brass key is inside the bread:
		say "You bite down and feel something hard inside, it looks like a brass key.";
	otherwise:
		say "you eat the bread and it tastes delicious."
		


chapter 2 - The narrow hall

Part 1 - Setting




the torturer's chamber is east of the narrow hallway."A large stone room lit by a fireplace in the corner of the room; In the room you see a torturers table, and an assortment of torturing instruments laying on a small table. In one another corner of the room you see a small cabinet; there is also a small cell at the far east side where the screaming is coming from."

the description of the torturer's table is "A large metal table with copious amounts sharp tools and dried blood on it."

foot of stairwell is a room. "You peer around the corner of a wall and see a long dark narrow stairway leading up to you presume the surface."

foot of stairwell is west of narrow hallway and below extending stairway.

extending stairway is a room.

prisoners cell is a east of the torturer's chamber.

the description of prisoners cell is "a bloodied young man raises his head and looks at you, you feel as if you know him and he knows you."


the prisoner is a person.
the description of the prisoner is "he is locked to the wall with a large set of handcuffs, there is a keyhole to unlock them."

the prisoner is in the prisoners cell.
the Iron key unlocks the handcuffs.
the handcuffs are a transparent container.



the Iron key is on the torturer's table.
the cabinet is a container.
the cabinet is scenery.
in the cabinet is a healing potion.
the healing potion is a thing.
the healing potion is edible.




Part 2 - Mechanics

Instead of going east to torturer's chamber from narrow hallway the first time:
	if the torturer's chamber is unvisited:
		say "You hear screaming coming from this direction, are you sure you want to continue this way.";
	otherwise:
		continue the action.
		
Instead of going up to extending stairway from foot of stairwell:
	if the prisoner is unlocked:
		say "You feel as if you came here for someone or something that you don't have yet.";
	Otherwise:
		continue the action.
