They just seem to live their lives, same old routine, same old rules.You can see a door that heads down to the tackle shop and two open doors to the east and north." They are filled with a few plates, cups, and bowls, but otherwise empty. You have never needed much, as you typically eat your meals alone anyway." Down from the Kitchen is the Tackle Shop. Report going down to the Tackle Shop: say "You walk down the creaky steps to the shop. The stairs come out at the back of the shop, next to the restroom." The Tackle Shop is a room. The description is "Your parents tackle shop. Shelves full of a fisherman's every desire. You work here part-time, although you don't particularly enjoy it. It comes in handy, however, when you need a tool for another random adventure. To the south is a door that leads to the parking lot." Aisle 1 is a thing in the Tackle Shop. It is fixed in place. The description of it is "This aisle holds every single fishing pole EVER. Fly rods, ice rods, trolling rods, you can't even name them all." Aisle 2 is a thing in the Tackle Shop. It is fixed in place. The description of it is "This aisle holds bait and lures. On the shelves you can see plastic containers filled with squirming worms. Along with plenty of colorful lures, ranging from flies, swimbaits, and trolling lures." Aisle 3 is a thing in the Tackle Shop. It is fixed in place. The description of it is "This aisle contains all sorts of fishing things. Fishing line, hooks, sinkers, bobbers, and pliers. There is also some nets at the far end of the aisle." Aisle 4 is a thing in the Tackle Shop. It is fixed in place. The description of it is "This aisle is where you end up the most. Unlike the others, it doesn't have fishing equipment. This aisle just has essentials for the outdoors. Flashlights, rope, food packets, fire starters, you name it." The checkout counter is a thing in the Tackle Shop. It is fixed in place. The description of it is "Stacked with fishing and Maine Tourist brochures. On top of the counter is a cash register. Below the container is a display case with stuffed fish." The cash register is a thing in the Tackle Shop. The description of it is "An old cash register. It is a dull grey, with a cash drawer underneath the number buttons, or whatever they're called. You don't come in here often, as you are not allowed. But that never stopped you from sneaking in for various reasons while they were busy." The wooden bed is a thing in the Parent Room. The description of it is "A queen sized bed with a wooden frame and a faded, floral bedspread. It is perfectly made, with everything lined up and without wrinkles." The dresser is a thing in the Parent Room. The description of it is " A wooden dresser with six drawers, three on each side. The handles are dark bronze, and have a little shine in the light." The top drawers are part of the dresser. They are closed openable containers. Inside the drawers are socks. The description of the socks are " Mostly white, all neatly placed in stacks." These have a wider variety of color, but not much. They are mostly shades of blue grey or tan." The bottom left drawer is part of the dresser. It is a locked container. The description of it is "You will need a key to open this. It has to be around somewhere." Inside the drawer is a brochure. The description of the brochure is "The cover shows a huge campus with Canterbury Academy printed across it. Boarding school? You can't go to boarding school, there's no way you'll be able to sit through all of that. There has to be some way to get out of it." The bottom right drawer is part of the dresser. It is a closed openable container. The description of it is " This drawer looks a little out of place, as if there was something else there originally." The Bathroom is east of the Kitchen. The description of it is "A small bathroom that you and your parents share. You couldn't stand it being so boring, so you decorated it yourself. It has a simple, but pretty mountain theme. You always wanted to go see the mountains." The bathroom sink is a thing in the Bathroom. The description of it is "A small sink with two drawers underneath it." Drawer 1 is part of the bathroom sink. It is a closed openable container. The description of it is "This is your parents drawer, underneath is your drawer." Inside Drawer 1 are two toothbrushes, a hairbrush, a comb, toothpaste, and a key. The description of the toothbrushes are "One blue, one purple. They are neatly placed beside each other, with caps on the tips." The description of the hairbrush is "A lavender hairbrush with a few strands of hair tangled around the plastic bristles." The description of the comb is "A black, plastic comb laying next to the hairbrush." The description of the toothpaste is "A half full tube of toothpaste." The description of the key is "A small, silver key that looks like it would unlock a drawer." The key unlocks the bottom left drawer. Drawer 2 is part of the bathroom sink. It is a closed openable container. The description of it is "This is your drawer, above is your parents drawer." Inside Drawer 2 is your toothbrush, your hairbrush, and your toothpaste. The description of your toothbrush is "A dark blue toothbrush." The description of your hairbrush is "A blue plastic hairbrush with a few hair ties wrapped around the handle." The description of your toothpaste is "Toothpaste, a simple tube of anti cavity stuff." The shower is a thing in the Bathroom. The description of it is "The curtain has a pretty mountain scene depicted on it and is drawn back. Inside the shower you can see bottles of shampoo and conditioner, along with body wash." The toilet is a thing in the Bathroom. The description of it is "The porcelain throne. Nothing too special about it." The shelves are things in the Bathroom. The description of the shelves are "Two shelves built into the wall. One holds towels and extra toilet paper, and the other has a candle and a small plant in it." The candle is part of the shelves. The description of it is "It smells like rain and fresh air." The plant is part of the shelves. The description of it is "A small cactus in a zebra shaped holder." The Parking Lot is south of the Tackle Shop. The description of it is "A parking lot with about 20 spots. The only car is the one that your parents own. Scattered about are small potholes, the process of filling them has been procrastinated for years. There is a small sidewalk on the opposite side of the lot, you know if you head west it will lead you to the cave." The car is a thing in the Parking Lot. The description of it is "A 2016 white Impala. It is not used much. The town is small enough that walking is the easiest way to get around." Report going west to The Forest: say "You head down the sidewalk until you reach a sandy path heading into a small forest." The Forest is west from the Parking Lot. The description of it is "A small wooded area that you pass through to get to the cave. The sun streams through the canopy above, giving a pretty glow to everything. Birds chirp around you, and you smile as you lean against a tree. The path continues both east and north. [If rocks are moved] You see something shiny in the grass." Understand "key" as the shiny thing. The shiny thing is a thing in the Forest. The description of it is "You should keep on the path. [if rocks are moved] A bronze key that looks like it could fit into a padlock." The shiny thing unlocks the wooden door. Report going north to The Cave: say "You keep walking until you reach a small rocky cove. You make your way to a small opening in a surrounding cliff and duck inside." The Cave is north of The Forest. The description of it is "The cave opens up to a wider space, lit by a few lanterns. You and Kim come here often." The lanterns are a thing in the Cave. The description of the lanterns is "Old lanterns you found in the back of the shop. The frames are almost black, but they look like they were once shiny and new. There is a box with extra emergency candles nearby." The chest is a thing in the Cave. It is a closed openable container. The description of the chest is "An old wooden chest that looks about as old as the cave itself. You found it when you first found the cave. You and Kim tried moving it, but it wouldn't budge. There was nothing inside it but an old locket. You decided it was pretty, so you kept it." Inside the chest is a bag of chips, rope, and a headlamp. The bag of chips is edible. The description of the chips is "This is for emergencies only. Normally you bring food when you stay in the Cave overnight." The description of the rope is "About 20 feet long. The cliff rocks are slippery, and there have been a few occasions where you were very glad to have this rope." The headlamp is wearable. The rocks are a thing in the Cave. The description of the rocks is "They look like they have been piled in front of something.[if moved] Behind the rocks is a door." A thing can be moved or unmoved. A thing is usually unmoved. The description of the wooden door is "A heavy wooden door on the west side of the Cave. It has a padlock on the handle. You remember seeing a key on your way to the Cave, but you can't quite recall where." The Hidden Cavern is west of the Cave. The description of it is "A small, dark cavern. You can barely see anything here. There looks to be a small table in the center of the room." The small table is a thing in the Hidden Cavern. The description of it is "An old wooden table covered in dust. There is a wooden box placed in the center." The wooden box is a thing in the Hidden Cavern. It is a closed openable container. The description of it is "A dusty box that looks like it could fall apart at the slightest touch. The lock is broken, and the hinges look old and worn." Inside the wooden box is a scroll. The description of it is "Yellow from age, it unfurls easily in your hands. It reads [italic type] Whoever is reading this, congratulations. You are now embarked on the adventure of a lifetime. There is a treasure that can only be found by one simple object. If you, the person reading this, has found a locket in these caves, I know you are worthy to obtain the treasure. Good luck on your search. Signed, Captain Mustachio." After examining the scroll for the first time: say "After reading the scroll, you hear water trickling somewhere to the west or south." The Cliff is south of the Hidden Cavern. The description of it is "DEATHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" After going south to the Cliff: end the story saying "You head to where you thought the water was. But instead you lose your footing and slip off the edge of a cliff. CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU DIED!! YOU GOT THE BAD ENDING! Wow, disappointing. GO TRY AGAIN" The Waterfall Cavern is west of the Hidden Cavern. The description of it is "A gushing waterfall streams down, landing in a crystal clear pool. The light reflects off the water, sending mesmerizing patterns along the wall." The pool is a thing in the Waterfall Cavern. The description of it is "You look into the crystal water and see a group of rainbow colored fish swimming around. Sand covers the bottom, with pink and green seaweed sprouting from it. You see no area for the water to drain, yet somehow the pool never overflows." The trapdoor is a thing in the Waterfall Cavern. It is a locked container. The description of it is "A double trapdoor about 6 feet long. There is a gold chain keeping it closed. This must be where the treasure that Captain Mustachio was talking about is! There is a small, circular slot where whatever unlocks it goes. He said something about... what was it? A necklace, maybe?" Inside the trapdoor is a treasure. The description of the treasure is "Gold, so much gold. You found the treasure! You scoop up some gold coins and let them pour out of your hand. You wonder what to do with all of it, but suddenly an idea pops into your head..." After examining the treasure: end the story saying "[Italic type] 10 years later [roman type] You and Kim left the town, like you always wanted to. You have spent the last few years traveling the country before settling down in Big Sky, Montana. You and Kim found good jobs, and live in nice apartments across from each other. CONGRATULATIONS!! YOU FINISHED THE GAME AND GOT THE GOOD ENDING!!"
