[bold type] Author's Note: [roman type] This game requires you to pay attention to details to solve the mystery, just following orders will leave you stranded in the same place and 'Winning the game' may not be what it seems." The Captain's Office is a room. "A calm, soothing area. A complete change of pace from the Main Office(South) with books neatly stacked upon each other, files stored in lexicographical order, and classical music playing in the background. You can tell that the Captain is a diligent and organized man." The Captain is a person inside the Captain's Office. The description of the Captain is "A grizzled man with greying hair and sharp facial features, he stands tall with a straight, military back as he radiates an aura of order, and is looking right at you with a steely gaze." Instead of asking Captain about something: say "Art Thievery, case 3D8 - details are on your desk. Also new guy: Do what you're told, solve trivial cases quickly, and you'll move up quickly in the ranks." The Main Office is a room. "A bustling area with papers flying everywhere. The smell of coffee and fingerprinting ink fills the air. You can hear drunken screams from the cells(west) and the faint roars from the Interrogating Room(east). Cops and detectives scramble about, trying to find documents lost in stacks of paper. " .The Main Office is south of the Captain's Office. The Case Details are in the Main Office. The values of all paintings are around $5000 and are all by 35-year-old artist Antonio Rodriguez. " The Cellphone is in the Main Office. The description of the Cellphone is "An ancient Samsung cellphone, on the screen you see a notification: 'Captain Peters - Cops brought in a well-known art thief, who just got out of jail, he's in the interrogating room for ya.' You should probably take this cellphone as you'll need it later." The Interrogating Room is a room. "A room barricaded by dark, soundproof walls. A mirror stands tall at the back, as you see the art thief with a smug look on his face while handcuffed to the chair, with his lawyer beside him.". The Interrogating Room is east of the Main Office. Daniel Johnson is a person in the Interrogating Room. The description of Daniel Johnson is "Smug, ratty-faced, and overflowing with confidence." The Cells is a room. "A filthy area, filled with drunk drivers and other minor law-breaking individuals. There is vomit covering the floors. A nasty stench fills the air.".The Cells is west of the Main Office. The Drunk Driver is a person in the Cells. The description of the Drunk Driver is "He notices you examining him and gives you a nasty look." 3rd Avenue is a room. "Your average New York street. You feel a cold gust of wind on your cheeks as a light patter of rain is starting to come down. Around you, pedestrians speed by heads down. The sound of traffic is all that engulfs you as you are surrounded by the same, dull grey towers.". 3rd Avenue is south of the Main Office. South of the 3rd avenue is the Front Entrance. The Front Entrance is a room. "Stepping through the arch, you see a series of confining walls, leading any museum visitors to the south. To the sides, recounts from the front lines were plastered, along with depictions of war." South of the Front Entrance is the Main Hallway. The inspiring painting is in the Museum entrance The description of the inspiring painting is "A valiant looking George Washington portrayed to be leading a charge amidst the American Revolution." The Main Hallway is a room. "You turn the corner around a tall, marble pole to reveal a large, open Greece exhibition, complete with the stars above you. There are maybe ten sculpted heads of famous Greek poets, alongside a panel depicting an epic battle between two unknown warriors. the museum's layout seems to lead you south towards your desired destination." South of the Main Hallway is the Guest Artist Section. The epic wooden panel is in the Main Hallway. The description of the epic wooden panel is "Two warriors wrestling with each other on the ground, one seems to be overpowering than the other crushing him beneath his feet." The Guest Artist Section is a room. "In the dimly lit room sits a multitude of paintings, photos, and murals, filling the room with the distinct, metallic smell of fresh paint." Instead of entering The Guest Artist Section when the player does not have the Cellphone: say "You forgot your phone!" Every turn when the player is in The Guest Artist Section: say "Notification: Captain Peters - We just obtained a search warrant to search Johnson's house. Go now! It's east of 3rd! If you can't find anything, meet up with Antonio Rodriguez at his house, about a 10-minute walk west of 3rd." The string of hair is in the Guest Artist Section. The description of the string of hair is "A distinctive purple, which forensics says belongs to the prime suspect: Daniel Johnson." Instead of eating the string of hair: end the game saying "You got fired for eating the evidence, better luck next time!" The House Entrance is a room. "A relatively old house, with the white paint deteriorating on the walls.". The House Entrance is west of 3rd Avenue. The For Sale Sign is a scenery supporter in the House Entrance. The description of the for sale sign is "A picture of the realtor with the words FOR SALE in bolded red, it looks like it's about to be put up soon." After entering the House Entrance: say "'Rodriguez: Listen, I didn't want to get the cops working on this case, the museum probably just lost the paintings and if they did I'll gladly take my insurance and go." The House Hallway is a room. "As you enter, you see ants squirming about. A rather dusty area, you begin to sneeze uncontrollably, as your eyes begin to water." The family portrait is in the House Hallway. In the family portrait is the silver key. The silver key can be found or lost. The silver key is lost. The House Hallway is west of the House Entrance. Instead of searching the family portrait when the silver key is lost: now the silver key is found; say "You take off the painting and look behind it, revealing a glistening silver key."; move the silver key to the House Hallway. Instead of examining the key when the silver key is found: say "A glistening key with little dust compared to the rest of the home."; Instead of examining the family portrait: say "Rodriguez:'Oh, that? That's a picture of my mom and I, she was my biggest supporter growing up. When she was diagnosed with heart disease, the treatment was costly and it's left me in a difficult spot. I now have to take care of my father, so I need to work a bit harder. You see a picture of the artist’s family. In it, you see the artist with a huge grin on his face, the mother’s glowing smile, and the father with bold and stern facial features. " The Kitchen is a room. "A relatively clean kitchen, with a stack of dirty dishes in the sink. On the countertops, you see dozens of a red, powder-like substance.". The Kitchen is north of the House Hallway. The instant ramen package is in the Kitchen. The description of the instant ramen package is "It’s an empty ramen package from Cup Noodle, pricing at around 13 cents for each packet. A jolt of college memories hits you with nostalgia flowing through your veins." The broken mug is in the Kitchen. The description of the broken mug is "A huge portion of top has been broken off, yet the hot water miraculously manages to stay in." The Stairs is a door. The Stairs is down from the House Hallway. The Basement is a room. "A cool, dusty, and poorly lit area, with light bulbs flickering. On the walls, you see numerous paint marks and holes. Numerous paint marks on the walls, with the pungent and metallic smell of acrylic paint. ". The basement is down from the Stairs. The House Bedroom is a room. "A seemingly empty room, with the faint but distinctive cardboard smell". The House Bedroom is south of the House Hallway. The small bed is in the House Bedroom. "An extremely small matress, the closest size would probably be twin. There are numerous broken springs as well as numerous stains along the bed." The chest is in the House Bedroom. The chest is a closed locked openable container. The Painting #1 is inside the chest. The Painting #2 is inside the chest. The silver key unlocks the chest. The description of the chest is "A splintered box, with the original paint completely peeled off. Compared to the other parts of the house, the chest is quite clean. It looks like the paintings are in here!" The description of Painting #1 is "'Stolen' Painting #1: A portrait of his mother, blending in Prussian blue and rose, evoking warm and nostalgic emotions in you." The description of Painting #2 is "'Stolen' Painting #2: canvas painted entirely black, with a strip of line left and you ponder why this painting was worth $2000." After opening the chest: now Win is 1; say "Wait! I'll tell you everything! Please, before you arrest me please listen to my story! My mother was diagnosed with heart disease and the treatment is costly! Being a relatively new artist, I have to sell everything and even then I can't fully pay it off. As a result, I contacted Johnson when my paintings wouldn't sell, told him to steal it for me and we'd split the commission after finding a black market deal!" Instead of taking Painting #1: end the game saying "You bring back the paintings to the Captain's Office and continue on with your career. For the culprit, he was sent to jail for insurance fraud and his mother died shortly after." The Living Room is a room. "A cramped room, containing numerous cardboard boxes.". The living room is northeast of the House Hallway. Antonio Rodriguez is a person in the House Entrance. The description of Antonio Rodriguez is "Antonio Rodriguez: Relax, you guys probably lost it. It wasn't like it was a masterpiece, no need to get the cops involved." The Apartment Entrance is a room."A rather run-down and ‘Ghetto’ area. The odor of freshly burnt cigarettes fills your nostrils, as you hold your breath and look towards the massive, old, and dull apartment.". The Apartment Entrance is east of the 3rd Avenue. The Elevator is a room. "An elevator barricaded by cardboard walls, with the button numbers scratched out and gang signs spray painted among the walls. You click the button which you assume to be the 5th floor.". The Elevator is down of the Apartment Entrance. The Main Area is a room. "Groceries are laid down on the table, the room is surprisingly clean for your average law-breaker, with the walls filled with art(which you hope isn’t stolen)" The groceries are in the Main Area. "Fresh groceries from the store next door, filled with spaghetti, fruit, and bread." The Apartment Bedroom is a room. "A twin-sized bed lies in the corner, along with a small television set and a Playstation 2 on the table.". The Apartment Bedroom is east of the Main Area. The vault is a closed locked openable container in the Apartment Bedroom. The silver key unlocks the vault. The description of the vault is "A dusty and dirty area with cockroaches squirming around and garbage on the floors. It looks like Johnson stuffed all his trash into this room. However, after rummaging through the vault you notice that nothing important is there." Every turn when the player can see the Captain: if Win is 1, end the game saying "Captain:'Oh, so the paintings were found defaced? Huh, what's the point of stealing paintings and then defacing them... I'm surprised that the artist isn't mad'."
