"Mushrooms"

The Mushroom Field is a room. "You wake up in a large field full of what seems to be mushrooms. The field seems endless, but you soon realize your sleepy eyes just weren't focused.  Slightly dazed, you realize you're unable to recall your steps and what happened to you before you woke. Furthermore, you realize you're unable to recall your name or anything else about your identity. Panicking, you quickly scan the surroundings for any clues. 

Looking again, you notice a small clearing of mushrooms in the east that leads somewhere and a dense forest with colossal mushrooms covering the sky in the West. To your North and South, you see nothing but an expansive field, seemingly never-ending. " 

The red mushroom is in the mushroom field. The berryshroom is in the mushroom field.  The berryshroom is edible. 

The description of the red mushroom is "Red top with white spots. No bigger than your hand."

The description of the berryshroom is "Spherical berry shaped, nothing much to see here." 

Carry out eating the berryshroom:
say "Surprisingly has the sweet and sour taste of a berry, leaves a mushroom aftertaste, however."

The Dense Forest is a room. The dense forest is west of the Mushroom Field. "You struggle to make your way through the forest, you can see in front of you much less where you are stepping in the shroom trees let in a minuscule amount of light into the area. Unable to see much, you must blindly choose a direction and pray for the best."

Instead of going north in the Dense Forest:
say "A savage group of shroomoquitos swarm you and suck you dry."; end the game in death.

Instead of going west in the Dense Forest:
say "You realize you are lost, and hunger creeps in. You lay there unable to move from the lack of energy, feeling your stomach cave in on itself until you are nothing but shriveled skin and bones."; end the game in death.

The Clearing is a room.  The Clearing is south of the dense forest. "You stumble upon a clearing with some sort of altar in the middle."

The special key is in the clearing. The description of the special key is "Interesting mushroom-shaped key."

The Path is a room. The path is east of the Mushroom Field.  "The path is narrow and compact. Along the path, you notice the wildlife and plants all seem to resemble that of mushrooms. Unsure if this is normal as you had just lost your memory, you continue forward.

After walking for quite some time, you come across a crossroad with two different paths. The one continuing East seems to lead to a cave while the other leads to a clearing in the North where there is a mysterious house in decent condition with a sign saying 'Toad's Tavern.' " 

The Cursed Cave is a room. The Cursed Cave is east of the path. "You stumble upon a scary and dark cave. The air is humid and all you can hear are echoes from the water dripping and far away cave creatures. The cave seems ominous, everything bone in your body screams at you to leave. Do you?"

The stick is in the Cursed Cave. The description of the stick is "A perfectly fine stick to do nothing with." 

Instead of eating the stick:
say "You decide that's not the best idea. "

Instead of going east in the Cursed Cave:
say "You fall in a lava pit and got burned to death."; end the game in death.

Instead of going north in the Cursed Cave:
say "You see a pond full of fish and decide to check them out. They turn out to be the Fangy Fungus (Mushroom Piranhas) and they eat you alive."; end the game in death.

Instead of going south in the Cursed Cave:
say "You accidentally bumped into a wall and a humongous Shroomstones fell onto you."; end the game in death.

The Porch is a room. The porch is north of the path. "The door is locked but there's a large unsuspecting doormat.”

The tavern door is a closed locked door. The tavern key unlocks the tavern door. The tavern door is north of the Porch. The doormat is in the Porch. The doormat is fixed in place. The tavern key is on the doormat.

The Toad's Tavern Entrance is a room. The Toad's Tavern Entrance is north of the tavern door. “The house is unexpectedly large and furnished. But as you take a look around, you notice someone rushing to you.  You tell them about how you've lost all your memories and are unsure of where you are."

Toad is a person in Toad's Tavern Entrance. "Toad explains 'This is a secluded field in Mushroom Bourg where I have been living for many years on my own and conducting my experiments on the strange medicinal properties that the mushrooms here possess. There's even a rumor about a supershroom that can heal anything! It's said to be extremely rare and practically unfindable. As if someone is hiding them on purpose. It's said to have a dazzling sunny golden color to its hue and taste like your favorite food...

Oops! Sorry I'm rambling too much. Anyways, this area is really dangerous. You'd do best to avoid the forest as well as the caves. Try some of the garden plants on your East as they are all medicinal herbs that may help with your amnesia. I'm willing to let you stay until you recover your memories but I'll be busy so try not to bother me too much. ' "

Instead of doing something to Toad:
say "Toad shoos you away with his mushroom fan."

The map is in Toad's Tavern Entrance. The description of the map is "
The map shows the mushroom field, the dense forest on the west, the path on the east, the cave on the east of the path, and Toad's Tavern where you are. You notice a path from Toad's Tavern further North and wonder where it may lead."

The garden is a room. The garden is east of Toad's Tavern Entrance. "You enter the garden where many mushroom plants are being grown."

The flowershroom is in the garden. The flowershroom is edible. The description of the flowershroom is "Resembles that of a dandelion, except all the petals are mushroom shaped and the leaves as well."

Carry out eating the flowershroom:
say "A unique taste you can't describe nor want to. It doesn't seem to have any effect on your body except for a little energy boost."

The shroompill is in the garden. The shroompill is edible. The description of the shroompill is "Resembles a medical pill. Hence the name shroompill." 

Carry out eating the shroompill: 
say "For a brief moment, memories return to you. However, as quickly as they came, they went. Eating more of the pills only allows you to briefly glimpse at your memory, but not nearly long enough to understand what happened."

Toad's lab is a room. Toad's lab is west of Toad's Tavern Entrance. "The lab is full of many fascinating scientific instruments. You can see the many beakers, flasks, and microscopes. You try your best not to touch anything that looks important.”

The beaker is in Toad's Lab. The description of the beaker is "hmm a glass cup with measurements."

The microscope is in Toad's Lab. The description of the microscope is "strange complex machinery, best not to touch."

Carry out taking the microscope:
say "It falls to the ground and shatters. Good job. Might want to leave quickly before Toad finds out." ; remove the microscope from play

The pond is a room. The pond is north of Toad's Tavern Entrance. "You walk out back from Toad's Tavern and discover a large pond with mushrooms algae and moss covering the majority of the surface. Walking around, you notice something at the corner of your eye."

The chest is a locked openable container. The chest is in the pond.  The description of the chest is "There seems to be something inside. A dazzling mushroom..."

The special key unlocks the chest. Inside the chest is the supershroom. The description of the supershroom is "You stare in amazement as sunlight shines a spotlight on the supershroom. It's unlike anything you've ever seen. Mushroom perfection." The supershroom is edible.

Carry out eating the supershroom:
say "Your hunger is gone, and so are any blemishes or previous scars on your body. More importantly, memories start flooding through your mind, and your childhood, family, and friends all start coming back to you. You're name is Nicholas Adams Stephanie III. You come from the land of Torondo in hopes of finding inspiration for your English class story assignment."; end the game in victory
