You hate all nobles and will stop at nothing to overthrow the king, who has driven you to poverty with his taxes." The Town Square is a room. "[if the room is unvisited]You stand at the edge of a crowd of people. It is very dirty here, as there is no sewer system. You can hear water rushing to the west, and there is a castle to the east. There is also a dark alley south of you. Suddenly, the crowd parts, revealing a coach pulled by two beautiful horses. It is most definitely a noble[end if]. [if the room is visited] The river is to the west, the castle is to the east, and there is a dark alley south of you. You might be able to gain some moolah by begging[end if]." A Gold Penny with worth 10 is here. " ". A Gold Quarter is here. After begging for the 25 time: Now the player is carrying a Gold Quarter. Peasant is a person. The player is Peasant. The description of Peasant is "You are a filthy peasant." a pebble is here. "A lone pebble lies on the ground." The description is "[if we have taken the pebble] Nothing is special about the pebble; however, it would not be a good idea to toss it at the noble. They are scenery. The description is "It is hard to see them clearly in the water." The ticket with worth 10000 is here. " ". The Castle Grounds is a room. It is east of the town square. "A magnificent castle lies ahead of you. There are guards posted outside. You wonder what good stuff you can plunder inside. You may have to get in through force." The guards are people in the Castle grounds. " ". The palace is here. It is scenery. The description is "[if we have not examined the palace]The guards are not happy to see you. [italic type]Hey you! Get outta here ya filthy peasant! Don't come back![otherwise][italic type] Didn't you hear me? Get outta here![end if].". The Castle Gates is a closed openable door. The Castle Gates is north of the Castle Grounds and south of the Grand Hall. The description is "A grand entrance to the Grand Hall." Check going north to the Grand Hall: [if the guards are on-stage] say "[italic type]We told you to leave!"; end the game saying "The guards were still there!"[end if] instead; [if the guards are off-stage] say "You managed to defeat the guards."[end if] instead. The Grand Hall is a room. "A luxurious hall with tapestries along the wall. It is a very big room, but nothing looks out of the ordinary. Some things here are worth examining." The carpet is here. It is scenery. The description is "Look! A trap door!" The wall is here. It is scenery. The description is "The wall is ordinary." The tapestry is here. It is scenery. The description is "It appears to depict a battle of some sort. But wait... There's a vault!" The vault is a container that is part of the wall. There is a Bow inside the vault.[if we have examined the floor] Trap Door is a closed openable door. It is below the Grand Hall and above the Secret Room [end if]. Secret Room is a room below the Grand Hall. "It is dark here. It would be best to get out quickly." A closed openable container called Chest is here. The description is "Come on, open it!" An Arrows are inside the Chest. Understand "ground" and "floor" as the carpet. Understand "side" and "bricks" as the wall. Understand "mural" and "painting" as the tapestry. Understand "tapestries" as the plural of tapestry. Check attacking the guards: [if the player is not carrying a sword or axe or lance]say "Use a sword, dummy!"; end the story saying "You got stabbed"[end if]. Carry out attacking the guards: say "You just murderized those fools!"; Now the guards are off-stage. Tossing is an action applying to one thing. Understand "toss [something]" as tossing. Before tossing the pebble: say "The pebble flies through the air and hits the coach with a dull thud."; end the story saying "You have been arrested". After drinking the water: say "You feel refreshed and replenished!" Understand "castle" and "building" and "grounds" as the palace. Catching is an action applying to one thing. Understand "catch [something]" as catching. Before catching the bass: say "After several attempts, you manage to grab the wriggling fish." Shopping is an action applying to nothing. Understand "shop" as shopping. Selling is an action applying to one thing. Understand "sell [something]" as selling. Begging is an action applying to nothing. Understand "beg" as begging. A beg is a kind of value. The begs are Accept some change, Take this, Accept this, I hope you stay well, Please take this. Instead of begging: say "Take some change sir." ; Now the player is carrying a Gold Quarter. Carry out begging: say "[a random beg from Accept some change to Please take this]". The Dark Alley is a room. It is south from the Town Square. "It is very dark here, but you can see an old man. (Say shop to shop and buy (item) to buy)." Old man is a person in the Dark Alley. " ". The Sword and Axe and Lance are devices with worth 250. The old man is carrying a Sword and Axe and Lance. The description is "What are you waiting for, buy something!". The Gold Quarter with worth 250 is here. " ". The description is "100% real!". Understand "gold" and "coin" as the Gold Quarter. Instead of shopping: say "I am selling a sword for 250 gold, an axe for 250, and a lance for 250.". Check buying: [if the player is not carrying a Gold Quarter] say "You do not have enough"[end if] instead; [if the player is carrying a Gold Quarter] Now the Gold Quarter is off-stage. Instead of buying the Lance: Now the player is carrying the Lance. Instead of buying the Sword: Now the player is carrying the Sword. Instead of buying the Axe: Now the player is carrying the Axe. Understand "Gold Quarters" as the plural of the Gold Quarter. Instead of dropping the bass: say "Listen to that sick beat! Here are tickets to a Skrillex concert!"; now the player is carrying the ticket. Definition: an object is carried if we are catching it. Things have a number called worth.
