The Scrollzapped is a number that varies. The Scrollzapped is 0. The Tooktrinket is a number that varies. The Tooktrinket is 0. Deathing is an action applying to nothing. Understand "die" as deathing. Instead of deathing: award -100 points; say "That wasn't very smart.[line break]Your score was: [score]"; end the game in death. Dancing is an action applying to nothing. Understand "dance" as dancing. Instead of dancing, say "Thou shaketh it a little, and it feeleth all right." [Locating players is an action out of world, applying to nothing. Understand "where" as locating players. Report locating players: repeat with X running through connected PCs begin; say "[X] is in [the location of X]."; end repeat.] [YON DUNGEON] Yon Dungeon is a room. "Ye find yeself in yon dungeon. Ye see a SCROLL. Behind ye SCROLL is a FLASK. Obvious exits are NORTH, SOUTH, and DENNIS." The scroll is in Yon Dungeon. The scroll is scenery. The description of the scroll is "Parchment, definitely parchment. I'd recognize it anywhere." Instead of taking the scroll for the first time: say "Ye takes the SCROLL and reads of it. It doth say:[paragraph break]BEWARE, READER OF YE SCROLL,[line break]DANGERS AWAIT TO THE -[paragraph break]The SCROLL disappears in thy hands with ye olde ZAP!"; award 2 points; change the Scrollzapped to 1. Instead of taking the scroll: say "Ye doth suffer from memory loss. YE SCROLL is no more. Honestly."; award -1 points. The flask is in Yon Dungeon. The flask is scenery. The description of the flask is "Looks like you could quaff some serious mead out of that thing." Instead of taking the flask: say "Ye cannot get the FLASK. If is firmly bolted to a wall which is bolted to the rest of the dungeon which is probably bolted to a castle. Never you mind."; award 1 point. Instead of taking the flask for the third time: award -1000 points; say "Okay, okay. You unbolt yon FLASK and hold it aloft. A great shaking begins. The dungeon ceiling collapses down upon you, crushing you in twain. Apparently, this was a load-bearing FLASK.[line break]Your score was: [score]"; end the game in death. [NORTH OF YON DUNGEON] A room called North of Yon Dungeon is north of Yon Dungeon. "Ye thou now be at parapets. Ye see a ROPE. Obvious exits are SOUTH." The rope is in North of Yon Dungeon. The rope is scenery. The description of the rope is "It looks okay. You've seen better." Instead of taking the rope: award -1 points; say "You attempt to take ye ROPE but alas it is enchanted! It glows like mustard and smells like a public privy. The ROPE wraps round your neck and hangs you from parapets. With your last breath, you wonder what parapets are.[line break]Your score was: [score]"; end the game in death. The parapets are in North of Yon Dungeon. The parapets are scenery. The description of the parapets is "Well, they're parapets. This much we know for sure." [SOUTH OF YON DUNGEON] A room called South of Yon Dungeon is south of Yon Dungeon. "Ye stand yeself close to a yet-unnamed escarpment." The TRINKET is in South of Yon Dungeon. "Nonetheless, ye spies a TRINKET. Obvious exits are NORTH." Instead of taking the TRINKET for the first time: say "Ye getsts yon TRINKET and discover it to be a bauble. You rejoice at your good fortune. You shove the TRINKET in your pouchel. It kinda hurts."; change the Tooktrinket to 1; move the TRINKET to the player; award 2 points. Instead of taking the TRINKET: say "You shove the TRINKET in your pouchel. It kinda hurts."; move the TRINKET to the player. The description of the TRINKET is "Quit looking! Just get it already." [CUSTOM DIRECTIONS] Dennising is an action applying to nothing. Understand "dennis", "go dennis" and "walk dennis" as dennising. Instead of dennising in Yon Dungeon: move the player to Dennis of Yon Dungeon. Instead of dennising, say "You can't go that way." Notdennising is an action applying to nothing. Understand "not dennis", "go not dennis" and "walk not dennis" as notdennising. Instead of notdennising in Dennis of Yon Dungeon: move the player to Yon Dungeon. Instead of notdennising, say "You can't go that way." [DENNIS] Dennis is a man. He is scenery. The description of Dennis is "That jimberjam really makes the outfit." Dennis is in a room called Dennis of Yon Dungeon. The jimberjam is worn by Dennis. The description of the jimberjam is "Man, that art a nice jimberjam." The description of Dennis of Yon Dungeon is "Ye arrive at Dennis. He wears a sporty frock coat and a long jimberjam. Ye learns that his jimberjam was purchased on sale at a discount market and that he enjoys pacing about nervously. You become bored and begin thinking about parapets." Instead of giving the TRINKET to Dennis: say "A novel idea! You givst the TRINKET to Dennis and he happily agrees to tell you what parapets are. With this new knowledge, ye escapes from yon dungeon in order to search for new dungeons and to remain...[paragraph break]THY DUNGEONMAN!![line break]You hath won! Congraturation!![line break]Your score was: [score]"; end the game in victory. [EVERY TURN RULES] An every turn rule: if the Scrollzapped is 1, change the description of Yon Dungeon to "Ye find yeself in yon dungeon. Back yonder there is a FLASK. Obvious exits are NORTH, SOUTH, and DENNIS." An every turn rule: if the Scrollzapped is 1, change the description of the scroll to "Ye seeth nothing wheretofore it went ZAP.". An every turn rule: if the Tooktrinket is 1, change the description of South of Yon Dungeon to "Ye stand high above a canyon-like depression. Obvious exits are NORTH." An every turn rule: if the player has the TRINKET, change the description of the TRINKET to "Just a bulge in thou pouchel at thist point."
