"The Mountain Of Fornost" by Edward Ewert Hostility is a kind of value. The hostilities are Hostile and Peaceful. A person has a hostility. A person is usually peaceful. The player is hostile Every person and animal has a number called maximum hit points. Every person and animal has a number called current hit points. Every person has a number called maximum mana. Every person has a number called current mana. A weapon is a kind of thing. Understand the commands "attack" and "punch" and "destroy" and "kill" and "murder" and "hit" and "thump" and "break" and "smash" and "torture" and "wreck" as something new Attacking it with is an action applying to one visible thing and one carried thing. Understand "attack [someone] with [something preferably held]" as attacking it with. When play begins: repeat with victim running through people: now the current hit points of the victim is the maximum hit points of the victim; Now the current mana of the victim is the maximum mana of the victim; Instead of an actor attacking a person with a weapon (this is the attack rule): If the noun is the player and the actor is the player: say "you don't feel suicidal right now."; stop the action; If the noun is peaceful: Say "You rile up [the noun] and they prepare to fight!"; Now the noun is hostile; Let roll1 be a random number between 1 and the dice roll of the second noun; Let roll2 be a random number between 1 and the dice roll of the second noun; Let roll3 be a random number between 1 and the dice roll of the second noun; Now totalroll is roll1 plus roll2 plus roll3; let Damage done be totalroll; if totalroll is greater than the critical threat of the second noun: say "[line break]Critical Hit!"; let critroll be a random number from 2 to 6; If critroll is 2: Now damage done is totalroll times 2; Otherwise: Now damage done is totalroll plus critroll; Decrease the current hit points of the noun by the damage done; say "[if the actor is not the player][the actor][end if][if the actor is the player]you[end if] strike[if the actor is not the player]s[end if] [if the actor is the player][the noun][end if][if the actor is not the player]you[end if], doing [damage done] points of damage."; If the current hit points of the noun is less than 1 and the noun is not the player: Remove the noun from play; If the current hit points of the noun is less than 1 and the noun is the player: End the game saying "You have died". Every turn: Repeat with victim running through touchable people who are not the player: If the victim carries a weapon: Try the victim attacking the player with a random weapon which is held by the victim. Maximum score is 30. the maximum hit points of the player is 100. The Mountain of Fornost is a region. Main Hall, Last Hall, Shadow Hall, Lost Hall, Death Hall, Hall of the Gods, Hall of Riddles, Farthorn Hall, Funtinon Hall and Peak of Fornost are part of The Mountain of Fornost. The Main Hall is a room. The description of the Main Hall is "You are inside the Mountain of Fornost in the main hall. There are exits to the North and South." The description of the main hall for the first time is "[first time] By you is a worn axe,a broken stone pillar and a leather Belt.[only]" The worn axe is in the Main Hall. The worn axe is a wearable object. The worn axe is a weapon. "The Axe is old and worn. It has seen many battles and could still be used." After wearing axe for the first time, increase score by 2; Before wearing axe for first time: increase current hit points of the player by 20; The pillar is a object in the Main Hall. "The pillar awakens resent memorys of a battle. Your side retreated to the Last Hall North of here. You should go there now and tell them that you still live." The Leather Belt is in the Main Hall. The Leather Belt is a wearable object. "The Belt is made out of simple leather, but should help you wear the axe." After wearing Leather Belt for the first time, increase score by 2; Before wearing belt for first time: increase current hit points of the player by 20; The Last Hall is north of the Main Hall. "You see your brother and Leader Fundin standing in the middle of the room. There is a exit to the south." Fundin is a person in the Last Hall. "[first time] Fundin looks towards you in shock and joy. You're alive! he says joyousley here take this armour to keep you safe.[only]" The armour is in the Last Hall. The armour is wearable. "[first time] The armour is of good make and should stop any blade. [only]" After taking the armour for the first time, say "Fundin looks on approvingly as you collect the armour. He says, 'We have to find some way to win back the mountain. If you could find the unbreakable shield and Mithril axe we may stand a chance.' It sounds as if your quest has begun!" Before wearing armour for first time: increase current hit points of the player by 10000; After wearing the armour for the first time: say "Your breastplate gleams in the light and you feel the strength of the mountain."; increase the score by 5. Shadow Hall is south of the Main Hall. "It is dark here and there is only a small amount of light. The light comes from the east. There are also a exits to the North, West and South. [first time] There is a wooden sheild near you. [only]" The wooden shield is in Shadow Hall. The wooden shield is a wearable object. "[first time]The wooden shield is small and light, it should stop a blow though.[ only]" After wearing wooden shield for the first time, increase score by 1; Before wearing shield for first time: increase current hit points of the player by 20; The Lost Hall is east of Shadow Hall. "The Light nearly blinds you as you enter and the piles of gold and gems fill you with amazement. There is a exit to the west. [First time] Nearby is an old Map and a chest.[only]" After entering the Lost Hall for the first time, increase score by 3; The old Map is an object in the Lost Hall. "The old Map is wethered with age. it shows that the key to the chest is West then South and then West of the Lost Hall." The chest is a container in the Lost Hall. It is lockable and locked. The Unbreakable Shield and Mithril axe are inside chest. The chest has matching key the Magical Key The Unbreakable Shield is wearable. "You have a chance of beating the Orcs from the mountain with this sheild." After wearing Unbreakable Shield for the first time: increase score by 10. Before wearing Unbreakable Shield for first time: increase current hit points of the player by 10000; The Mithril axe is wearable. The Mithril axe is a weapon. The description of the Mithril axe is "You will be almost inpossible to defeat with this axe." After wearing the Mithril axe for the first time, increase score by 10. The dice roll of the Mithril axe is 9000. After wearing Mithril axe for the first time, say "You should face the Head Orc Thalgahin, many halls west of Shadow Hall." Before wearing Mithril Axe for first time: increase current hit points of the player by 10000; The piles of gold and gems are scenery. Hall of the Gods is south of shadow Hall. "As you enter you are amazed at the craftsmanship requied to craft all this. With paintings made out of gold and gems and walls chizled with the peoples beliefs and history. It must have taken thousands of years to make it all. There are exits to the North and West." Orc is a person. Orc is hostile. The Orc is in the Hall of the Gods. It holds a rusty sword. The rusty sword is a weapon. The Maximum hit points of the Orc is 20. The dice roll of the rusty sword is 120. "Orc is removed from play." Hall of Riddles is west of Hall of the Gods. "[if the Magical Key is off-stage]You see the Key to The Lost Gate. It is behind a clear door. Written on the door is a riddle it says What is larger then any tree, has roots deep in the earth and never grows. There is an exit to the East[Otherwise]The shattered glass of the door is scattered around the floor from the moment you correctly answered the riddle." There is a object called the Magical Key. Mountaining is an action applying to nothing. Understand "mountain" as mountaining. Instead of mountaining when the player has held the Magical Key: say "There is no need..." Instead of mountaining when player is in Hall of Riddles: say "As you speak the word, the door shatters and the key drops to the stone floor before you..."; move the Magical Key to the Hall of Riddles. Instead of mountaining: say "You speak the word, but it doesn't feel quite the right moment." After taking the Magical Key for the first time: say "You feel hope in you're heart that you might be able to win back the mountain." Death Hall is west of Shadow Hall. "This room is held by the enemy. There are exits to the West and East" Warg Rider is a person. Warg Rider is hostile. The Warg Rider is in the Death Hall. It holds a rough sword. The rough sword is a weapon. The Maximum hit points of the Warg Rider is 100. The dice roll of the rough sword is 120. "Warg Rider is removed from play." Kaldahin is a person. Kaldahin is hostile. You see other lands with the Orc banner over them, soon you shall win them back too."
