"A Surprise Party" By Darren, Artin, Eric The block giving rule is not listed in the check giving it to rules. The Entry is a room. "Your friend invites you to a party that is happening today at a rich mansion that his dad owns. You call your dad to drive you to this mansion at 7:00 p.m. When you arrive, you walk into a mansion that is a bit creepy. You arrive at the entrance of a mansion, not knowing who or what is in this place. The exterior and interior both look kind of odd. [roman type][Paragraph Break]The door of the entrance suddenly shuts down and you realize you have been locked in this mansion and the only way to get out is to find another exit.[roman type][Paragraph Break]To the North you can go to the Living Room. To the West you find the kitchen, however, there is nothing in the South and East." The description of the player is "You are AWESOME!!!." West of The Entry is Kitchen. Kitchen is a room. "You are in the Kitchen where you find a full-course meal on the table ready with no one there. There must be someone inside this house but you have no clue who it can be. If you don't eat the meal, you will experience severe dizziness later on." The meal is in the Kitchen. The meal is edible Instead of eating meal: say "You feel a strong effect of the meal you just ate. Feeling dizzy, you try to maintain your balance but you feel too dizzy and collapsed to the ground, having a massive headache. You can't get up, leaving you stuck on the ground hopeless until you pass out."; end the game in death. In the Kitchen is a baseball bat. It is an object. "There is also what seems to be a baseball bat in the kitchen." After taking baseball bat: say "You take the baseball bat in hand, admiring for a second the fancy engraving and bright sheen of the object. Someone must have loved this very much. This could probably break open a skull or two." Instead of examining baseball bat: say "A baseball bat you found in the Kitchen." North of The Entry is the Living Room. Living Room is a room. "You are in a Living Room where you have a better view of the mansion. It is a wide, open space, complete with super fancy furniture and the biggest TV you have ever seen. [Paragraph Break]Suddenly, the lights turn completely off and there is no power. You can barely see anything and you forget what was around you. Screams of death are everywhere. You start running. NOW!!! You feel an old painting on the wall." West is the Library. The Library is a room. "The library is dimly lit, and the air feels cold and eerie. Cobwebs hang in the corners, and a sense of foreboding fills the room. The bookshelves line the walls, and you notice one book that seems out of place." A book is in the Library. The description of the book is "A dusty old book, its cover is tattered and torn." A candle is in the Library. The description of the candle is "A partially burned candle, casting a faint, eerie glow." A skull is in the Library. The description of the skull is "A sinister-looking skull, adorned with cobwebs." A dusty rug is in the Library. The description of the dusty rug is "A worn rug, covered in a thick layer of dust." The bookshelf is a door. The bookshelf is scenery. It is north of the library and south of the hidden room. The bookshelf is locked and lockable. The description of the bookshelf is “Ye olde average bookshelf. You see a strange-looking book titled 'Literature'. ” Literature is an object in the library. After taking Literature: Say “The bookshelf slides out of the way, revealing a secret room!”; Now the bookshelf is open. The hidden room is a room. “You enter the hidden room. It is a barren room with only a single table in the center. There is a door leading to the backyard to your right. It seems locked. ” The exit door is a closed locked door. The exit door is scenery. It is east of the hidden room and west of the backyard. The key unlocks the exit door. Wooden door is a door. Wooden door is lockable and locked. Wooden door is southeast of the living room and northwest of the basement. “You can just barely make out a hallway to the east and a wooden door in the corner(southeast) of the living room which seems breakable with a weapon. But there is no lock on the door. Kinda weird eh?” Instead of attacking wooden door: say “You are too weak to break the door with your bare fists.” Instead of attacking the wooden door when the player carries the baseball bat: say “You break through the wooden door with [the baseball bat], and proceed to go down the stairs.”; now the wooden door is open. Southeast of the wooden door is the Basement. The Basement is a room. “You enter the basement. It is surprisingly comfortable. Plush couches with fat pillows, a wide coffee table, and a cool fireplace set in the wall. You eye a pool table in the corner. You never played it before. If not for your current situation, you might have considered playing a round.” The pooltable is in the basement. The description of the pooltable is “A standard pooltable. It seems some of the balls are missing.” Fireplace is fixed in place. The key is an object. The description of the fireplace is “A stone fireplace, with a rough texture. There is a key on the mantel.” The fireplace is in the basement. Pooltable is fixed in place. The key is on the fireplace. Understand “key” as The key. The description of the key is "An ornate silver key." East of the living room is the hallway. Hallway is a room. "You enter the hallway. There are dim, old-fashioned lights on the wall, but past a point, they go out and it's dangerous to go on. To your left is the bedroom, and to your right is a bathroom." West of the hallway is the bedroom. The Bedroom is a room. "You stand in a lavishly decorated bedroom within the opulent mansion. Gilded frames surround ornate paintings on the walls, and a four-poster bed with richly embroidered curtains takes center stage." The four-poster bed is a supporter in the Bedroom. The description of the bed is "An exquisite four-poster bed with silk curtains and plush bedding." A mahogany dresser is in the Bedroom. The description of the dresser is "A finely crafted mahogany dresser with a beautiful antique mirror." The Closet is scenery in the Bedroom. The description of the Closet is "A closed closet door stands against the wall. It seems strangely inviting." Instead of opening the Closet: say "You've opened the closet and found a small room. It's dimly lit and filled with clothes, shoes, and other belongings. There's an eerie atmosphere here, as if something mysterious might happen." Instead of going from the Bedroom to the Bedroom when the Closet is open: end the game saying "As you enter the closet, the door slams shut behind you, and you hear strange noises coming from the darkness. You are trapped in the closet; suddenly, the killer emerges from the darkness with an axe and brutally kills you." East of the hallway is the Bathroom. The bathroom is a room. “You enter the bathroom. As with everything in the mansion, it is VERY fancy. You think it’s kind of overkill. Polished marble flooring, an unnecessarily ornate mirror almost the size of the wall at one end, and a chandelier. The room smells pleasant, thanks to a vase of lavender on the sink table.” The description of the mirror is “A huge mirror, with golden framing carved in the shape of eastern dragons, and leaves.” The description of the chandelier is “A small tiered chandelier made of bright, dazzling diamonds and deep blue oval cut lapis lazuli.” Mirror is scenery in the bathroom. Chandelier is scenery in the bathroom. Bob is a person in the bathroom. "You suddenly hear a squeak from the bathtub. Pulling back the curtain, you reveal a man. His name is Bob. After talking to Bob for a bit, you learn that he was hiding the entire time in the bathroom. He requests a weapon, and in return he will give you information about the house." After giving baseball bat to Bob: say " 'Ay tanks man, this is some high-quality stuff right[']ere. Ey look, there[']s a library west of the living room you might wanna check out. I hear it holds a secret.' " South of the hallway is the living room. the living room is a room. The backyard is a room. "You have reached the backyard and you can finally get some fresh air, the area seems to have dark grass and is bordered by tall fences. Next you know it, you are at the last step of escaping this mansion, and it’s better to stay quiet. It is so dark outside, you can’t tell if someone is watching you escape. Once you reach that short fence door up north, open the fence door. Then run for your life and you'll be a free man again." fence door is a door. fence door is unlocked. South of the fence door is the backyard. Backyard is a room. After opening fence, say "Congratulations on beating our game! You now feel relieved and tired after being locked in that mansion for a long time. You promise yourself you will never go to any party ever again, knowing that your life could be at risk. You dig in your pockets to find your phone to call your dad, however, you realize you lost your phone after running away as quickly as possible. You can’t find your phone anywhere and it looks like you messed up. Now, you decided to hitchhike and hope for the best to reach back home. Thank you for playing! For now, you have won!"
