With this, you can make some light to pave the way." The fire kit is edible. After eating the fire kit: say "You take the fire kit and put it in your mouth. Should've eaten supper before leaving the house."; end the game in death. After opening the jacket: say "The jacket contains old weaponry, including stilettos and a scimitar. An eye patch hangs to the side, next to it, a key. After moving the corpse, a shiny red diamond dropped from its hand. You're unsure whether you should take it or not." After taking red diamond: If player has scimitar begin; say "You carefully reach over to grab the red diamond, but in an instant, the corpse springs to its knees with a startling cry and attempts to lash at your throat, but with your pure cunning, you kick the fiend in the chest while reaching for your scimitar and slashed the undead across the chest, making it, once again, a corpse. 'That diamond's mine now,' you declare."; award 1 point; Otherwise; say "You carefully reach over to grab the red diamond, but in an instant, the corpse springs to its knees with a startling cry and strangles you. The description of the scimitar is "An old blade, but still very sharp. Appears to be the only weapon in applicable condition." The description of the key is "A dark, metal key with a worn out insignia. It's near impossible to tell what the insignia shows." After taking key: say "You take the copper key and pocket it." Instead of taking eye patch: say "You take the eye patch and wear it for yourself, pretending to be a swashbuckler at sea! Then, you realize how childish what you're doing is and replace the eye patch back in the jacket, silently giving an introspection." Instead of taking stilettos: say "The stilettos are too brittle for use; it provides little assistance in any sort of situation, let alone defending yourself." The description of the stilettos is "Matted in rust, it doesn't appear to be in any working condition." The description of the jacket is "The ruined jacket holds the corpse's inventory." Back South is the Depths, up North is the Veil."; Otherwise; say "You step into the dark; the door barely ajar unless you hold it open to allow the light in. You feel you are not alone in the darkness, travelling without a light is most unwise. Back South is the Depths, up North is the Veil."; end if. The painted stone is in the veil. "You almost trip over what appears to be a stone, which lies sprawled against the ground. It seems to have writing painted on it..." Instead of taking the painted stone: say "The stone is way too heavy to carry." Instead of examining the painted stone: say "'You read the inscriptions on the stone. The inscription says: 'Thanks for playing my first text based game that is, at the moment, a WIP. I will continue in a later update. Tune in for the next version.' What could this possibly mea-you exploded into a million pieces.";end the game in death Maximum score is 3.
