"The Cursed Field Trip" [INTRODUCTION] When play begins: say "Beep! Beep! Beep! Your eyes flicked open as you rolled over and slammed your hand against your alarm, silencing the loud ring which woke you up. Remembering what today is, you rushed up and out of bed. Today was the overnight school field trip. And you were especially excited because you got to go camping... and you loved camping. [Paragraph Break] Three hours later. [Paragraph Break] As you get off the bus and walk to your campsite of which your class is staying at, you notice a pair of scarlet red eyes following your every step. You shiver and think, this is going to be an interesting field trip.” [Bus] Bus is a room. The description of Bus is "The bus is completely empty except for the bus driver who just looks ahead with a soulless stare. [Forest Path] Forest Path is a room. Forest Path is north of the Bus. The description of Forest Path is "As you walk along the path, your feet stepping on every brown leaf, you notice a green bush with a dark hole in the middle of it. You walk over to the bush and look into it. You shake the bush and then you hear a soft, scrawny whisper... it is here.... it is here.... it is here...." [The Bridge] The Bridge is a room. The Bridge is west of Bus. The description of The Bridge is "You notice an old cobblestone bridge which has a tire spinning round and round, back and forth. [The Other Side Of The Bridge] The Other Side Of The Bridge is a room. The Other Side Of The Bridge is west of The Bridge. The description of The Other Side Of The Bridge is “You see a beautiful red rose on the ground, flourishing and happy and beside it you see a match, burnt and used. Suddenly the beautiful red rose vanishes and the skies turn a scarlet red, with black clouds forming. You then see the moving shadow coming towards you at full speed. But it’s not running... it’s hovering above the ground. IT IS HERE.... IT IS HERE... IT! IS! HERE!!!!!" [The Cliff] The Cliff is a room. The Cliff is north of The Other Side Of The Bridge. The description of The Cliff is "The wind is blowing hard, and the river below you is moving faster and faster splashing against the side of the cliff. You hear the scrawny whispers growing louder and you see a shadow forming behind you. You’re trapped. You can’t go anywhere except back from where you came from. You see a bush and you hide in the bush, hoping you won’t get spotted. [Paragraph Break] As you hide in the bush, the shadow appears and this time it is holding something in it’s long, ghost like black hands. It’s holding something short and burnt and... it’s the match from earlier. But smoke is coming from the tip of it... as the shadow turns at the right angle... you see that the burnt match is on fire. You don’t know how, but you don’t want to stick around to find out.“ [The Campsite] The Campsite is a room. The Campsite is north of the Forest Path. The description of The Campsite is "You can see all your classmates choosing their tents and unraveling their sleeping bags. The teachers are talking amongst themselves and the rangers that are with us are getting the fire started. Your friend Cedar walks up to you and hands you a bag. Look inside it, she said. You look inside it and you see a key. You look at her confused. [Paragraph Break] Ten minutes later... so what was that key you gave me earlier? You asked her. She smiled and said, one of the park rangers gave it to me. Said to keep it away from the other park rangers. I felt like it was one of those crazy scenes in an action movie. So I kept it. But then I thought... maybe it is a creepy action movie. And I wanted nothing to do with it. So now you have it. You stuttered with your words. Bye! She said, walking away from you. You take the key out of the bag and set it on a nearby picnic table. You look at the key. Should you pick it up? You think to yourself.” A picnic table is in The Campsite. As everyone became hypnotized by the dancing movement of the fire, you think, maybe this won’t be so scary and haunted after all. But right as you said that, a bolt of lightning split through the dark night sky. Thunder boomed and then rain began to pour down. Everybody screamed and went into their tents. Teachers calmly told kids to stay in their tents for the rest of the night. And just like that, the beautiful fire was put out by the cold wet rain. [Paragraph Break] Right before you closed your eyes to go to sleep, in the distance you can hear a scrawny screech of a ghostly creature. And in that moment, you hoped that this was all a dream. [Paragraph Break] To continue the game go west." [Morning] Morning is a room. Morning is west of The Fire. The description of Morning is “Your eyes open to beams of sunlight flooding into your tent. Everyone is gone. [Paragraph Break] The rangers, the teachers, your classmates, your friend’s. All gone. Trees have fallen. Some small fires are sprouting around the campsite. Branches have scattered along the ground and pine needles make there way inside the tents. Broken Trail is south of Morning. The description of the Broken Trail is “You walk along the forest path again and you notice that one bush from earlier. The hole has gotten bigger and the scrawny whispers have only gotten louder. Your hoist yourself up onto this outstretched piece of land. As you stand up and prepare yourself for another path, but instead you see a cave. Dark clouds form and the sky turns a stormy grey. As you slowly limp towards the cave, you notice nothing but blackness inside it. As you get closer and closer to the cave your ears begin to ring again as small voices inside your head begin to chant... it is here... it is here... it is here...! Then all of a sudden a very scrawny voice screams... Simon is watching. Then two scarlet red eyes pop up from the blackness of the cave and a creepy smile forms and you realized what you have gotten yourself into. [Paragraph Break] Go north into the cave....” [Simon’s Cave] Simon’s Cave is a room. Simon’s cave is north of Long Walk. The description of Simon’s Cave is “The scarlet eyes have no pupils and the smile is wide and frightening. The ringing gets louder and louder as you step closer... you don’t know why. But when you stepped into the cave’s darkness the eyes and the smile vanished. Nervous you reach for the torch hanging on the wall. You pick it up and look around the cave which seems to go on forever. The word Simon is written on the walls everywhere in hopefully red marker. But underneath the biggest written Simon... you see a pile with skulls and on each skull is a long hand in bloodstains. [Paragraph Break] I am so doomed. You think to yourself. Dust sprinkles down from above you. Help! You hear... you glance behind you just to check if anyone was following you. Nobody. Help! You hear again. This time it’s not in your head. It was Cedar! Help!! You walk down the stairs faster and soon you come across a concrete hallway with cells and all your friends in it. [Paragraph Break] Go north to continue.” [Prisons Hallway] Prison Hallway is a room. Prison Hallway is north of The Dungeon. The description of the Prison Hallway is “You walk along the stone cold hallway and you shiver as you notice cobwebs are hanging everywhere and skeleton bodies and corpses are lying in some cells... thankfully you see all your teachers and friends alive. You rush over to Lydia and Cedar who are sticking their hands out one of the cells. You look into their fearful eyes. They look distraught and tired. You ask them what happened and how they got here. [Paragraph Break] I was right! Cedar exclaims. We are like in a creepy action movie. This creature... who put us in the cells... what’s it called? She looks at Lydia who shrugs. Something like I don’t care or why should I want to. Cedar frowns. Yeah something like that. She mumbles sarcastically. [Paragraph Break] How do I get everyone out of the cells? You ask, checking behind you just in case. Being real, it’s near the creature’s throne... which is where it is sleeping right now. Lydia points at rock hard, stone like, broken down throne chair. And on the chair was the creature. You then remember the name. Simon. You whisper. What? Cedar and Lydia say at the same time. It doesn’t have a species name, it has an actual name. It’s name is Simon. I see the name in red all around the cave. You shiver remembering the bloodstains on the human skulls. [Paragraph Break] Is it just me or does Simon sound scary but cute at the same time. Lydia asks. No I find that weird also. Cedar says as she leans on the cell bars, making it creak just a bit. I must get you guys out of here. It’s obviously a set up, why else wouldn’t Simon bring you here to die? You raise your eyebrow as Lydia makes a good point. You know... Cedar starts. I did see a sword lying against the wall near our cell. You look to see a sword where Cedar said it was. You must fight Simon for the key.... and then knock him out so we can escape. Yeah! Lydia agrees. Well then.... you start. Let’s do this. No your going to do this. We won’t. Cause we’re in a cell to rot and die. Oh my lord... you shake your head. [Paragraph Break] To continue go north.” [The Weapon] The Weapon is north of Prison Hallway. The description of The Weapon is “You look around and see a sword. It’s metal, dusty, and cobwebs form all over the weapon. Your friends gasp as you pick it up. It makes a long metal screeching noise as you drag it along the wall towards the creature. You accidentally drop it, making the clanking sound ring throughout the whole dungeon. You freeze and gently pick it back up. [Paragraph Break] Just keep going north until it says another direction.” The wall is fixed in place. The wall is in The Weapon. A sword is on the wall. [The Battle] The Battle is a room. The Battle is north of The Weapon. The description of The Battle is “The creature’s eyes open wide as the sword dropped, but when you slowly pick it up, unaware of the awakened creature it slowly reaches it’s long, silky like hands towards your leg and grabs you with such force you fall on the ground. You scream as you see blood dripping from your leg. You stagger backwards as Simon slowly stands up from the dark throne. You stood up as fast as you could and heaved the heavy sword at the creature. It gracefully dodges your attempt to slash it as it did to you. [Paragraph Break] Look out!! Cedar yells as Simon cuts your forehead with their sharp fingers. Blood drips over your left eye, making half of your vision red. You yank the sword over your shoulder and swing it towards the creature’s torso, making a long slice all the way across Simon’s chest. Instead of red blood like you thought would come out, yellow guck oozes out of the creature. In disgust you close your eyes tight and look away. But you quickly open them back up. [Paragraph Break] You dash behind Simon while he glares at the big cut you made. You stab his right shoulder and he screeches, whipping around and slashing your arm. Simon holds you by the ear and drags you along the ground tossing you against the metal bars of the cell your friends were in. I am here.... the creature yowls as he grabs the sword from your hand and plucks it from you breaking it in half with ease. [Paragraph Break] Now watch as your friends die! The horrific creature turns towards your best friend and opens the cage. Your friend shrieks and begins to cry, backing up into the corner of the cage, terrified. Without hesitation you grab the handle of the sword which was broken off, you run into the cage, and with all your might you bang it against Simon’s head, knocking him out.” [The Throne] The Throne is a room. The Throne is north of The Battle. The description of The Throne is “You grab you friend by the arm and you ask if they’re okay. I’m fine they say as they give you a tight squeeze. The description of The Escape is “You take the key and rush over to the nearest cell where all the teachers are in. You notice all the cages seemed to be unlocked, weirdly they weren’t before. You open the cell door and go to the next cell, then the next, then the next, and finally you open the door with Lydia and Cedar in it. Yay! Lydia whispers excitedly, fearing Simon will wake up. We didn’t rot and die!! You raise your eyebrow and smile. No we did not, you reply. [Paragraph Break] Finally you go to the cage with the creature in it. You close the cell door and notice the lock to it is dusty and covered in blood. It matches with the key! You were about to lock it until you see the word Simon being slowly written inside the cell wall in blood. Ow! You turn around to see your best friend have a scratch on their arm. In fear you turn back and see the word Simon now finished. Nobody was writing it, the creature was still knocked out. Then you hear a creaking noise from the darkness of the hallway past the spiral staircase. [Paragraph Break] You see a skull thrown into the light. You scream and then see an ugly, skeleton without a head limp into the light. It’s dripped in blood and it has a broken in half sword in its bony hand. Blood... bones... Simon... it says creepily. The harsh voice of the skeleton rings through your head. Everybody run!!! You shriek. People then notice the skeleton and more corpse dragging themselves along the ground, moaning in a gross tone. [Paragraph Break] You sprint as fast as you can and you take a sharp left leading everybody into this dark, dead end. Two doors stand. One golden door and one dusty old door. You have to choose fast. Golden door is west, old door is east.” The golden door is a closed locked door. The golden key unlocks golden door. The golden door is west of The Escape. The golden door is east of the River. You shriek as your friends fall in too. There is no ladder up, no rope, no nothing. You are trapped. The skeletons and corpses begin to move and they corner you. They grab your legs and drag you into pitch black. They then toss you into the never ending pit of doom."; end the game in death. [River] River is a room. River is west of the golden door. The description of the River is “You open the door and see a fast running river. Water splashes onto your legs and you shiver at the cold touch. You notice the familiar landscape and realize this was where you were hiding earlier on the cliff. You see the skeletons close up behind you. You see your choices for escape, cross the strong current river and possibly drown or be eaten and ripped apart by alive skeletons. You choose the river. [Paragraph Break] Everyone follow me! You notice some rocks which go across the river which is a bit up stream though. You push through the current and you tightly grab onto a rock. You hoist yourself on the rock and carefully walk across the rocks. You reach the other side and look back at your friends. They’ve made it across. All of a sudden, without warning your head begins to throb harder and harder, the sound of your heart pumping growing louder and louder. [Paragraph Break] A shadow begins to form and red eyes pop out from the skeletons. Simon was awake. Look out! You scream as Simon reaches for Lydia’s arm. Lydia turns around and with a surprising reflex, kicks Simon. Simon loses balance and trips into the water. The creature yowled and screeched as you can see the water burning Simon’s silky like skin. You take this moment to run into the forest and towards the bus. You quickly turn back to see Simon moving painfully and slowly to get to us, while it’s skin is being burned off. [Paragraph Break] Go north to continue.” [Woods] Woods is a room. Woods is north of River. The description of Woods is “It’s been over an hour since you escaped Simon’s cave and you are feeling extremely tired. But you know they are coming for you. Slowly but surely those corpses are following you. [Paragraph Break] As you continue to walk deeper into the depths of the forest you start to shake. The moon just barely shines through the trees and night time strikes a cold chill into the air. You begin to hear loud moans and growls from the undergrowth. They are here. The skeletons and corpse emerge from behind you, their bodies burnt and bony from the river water. You have to make it to the bus fast. You think. Otherwise, your never going to make it out of here alive.” [Sprint] Sprint is a room. Sprint is east of Woods. The description of Sprint is “You tremble as the bodies close in on you and your friends. You don’t know what’s next and the only thing you can think of is to run. But there is no opening between any of the creatures. You try to think of something else but you have no idea what the bodies are capable of. You take your chances. You find a stick on the ground and you pick it up. You swing it and wack it hard against one of the bodies. It hits the head and the corpse’s head goes spinning off it’s body. The eyes go ghost like and it’s gross mouth hangs open. [Paragraph Break] Another body comes at you from behind, you don’t notice... but someone else does. Lydia yanks the stick from your hand and smashes the stick against the zombie like person. Like before, the head swings off and lands motionless on the ground. [Paragraph Break] You hear a screech near-by and then you see the sky turning a dark gray. The clouds turn black and lightning strikes the tree next to Cedar making her jump. The tree lights on fire making the area smokey and hard to see. You yell run and everyone bolts. You don’t know where you’re headed but soon you see lights. Then a honk. It’s the bus!! You scream again heading for it.” [Wrong Vehicle] Wrong Vehicle is a room. Wrong Vehicle is south of the Sprint. The description of the Wrong Vehicle is “You rush closer to the bus and can see more clearly the yellow of it. You rush onto the bus and sit down breathing hard. Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! You yell at your friends as everybody slowly loads onto the bus. Now go! You tell the bus driver. These zombie things are chasing us! Go! The bus driver doesn’t move. They don’t seem to acknowledge you either. Then you realize why. Everyone off the bus! You yell, sprinting towards the bus door. The door closes and you turn to the bus driver. Their bright red eyes stare at you and slowly a creepy smile forms. [Paragraph Break] It was Simon. [Paragraph Break] You freeze, scared and surprised. Cedar screams as she notices Simon too. Lydia hushes her and whispers something in her ear. Cedar nods and heads for the back door of the bus, she slowly opens the door and once she does she sprints out the door. Simon turns towards the back door. With him distracted you rush towards the back door. Although that’s where he was looking... he wouldn’t think you would dare run that way. Right?” [Rangers] Rangers is a room. Rangers is west of Wrong Vehicle. The description of Rangers is “Simon has been chasing you all throughout the night. You and your friends are exhausted but you still have to move along. After more hours of tired walking. Rain has started to pour, putting out some small fires yet making you soaked and more freezing. You hear a crunch noise and you and your friends start running. You don’t want to wait to see if it’s Simon or the bodies anymore. You just what to leave- [Paragraph Break] You bump into something... or someone. You look up and notice it’s a park ranger. You feel relieved. Please help us you say. The park ranger gets down on his knees and looks you in the eyes. Why are you out here? It’s dangerous. And by the looks of it I’m guessing you all have experienced the haunted part of this forest. You nod, shivering. Simon is after us... but he targets me. The ranger touches his fingers to the side of your head. As he does that, his hands begin to glow. The voices in your head start to ring chanting it is here... it is here... it is here.... [Paragraph Break] Hmm... you have what he needs. That’s why. Those voices. They complete him. Once he gets those voices which chose you to sacrifice, then he can be human again. Right now, if those voices are quiet. But when you can always hear those voices you’ll turn into a Zodicamen, like him. A what? You say. A Zodicamen. That’s the creature he turned into. A creature of which haunts the place they became the creature. [Paragraph Break] A screech is heard in the distance and you grasp your hair tight as the ringing overflows your brain. You scream in agony. Quickly now. The ranger says. We must get you out of here and to the Healers Island. The people there will heal you. The screech is bear again. Come.” [The Helicopter] The Helicopter is a room. The Helicopter is north of Rangers. The description of The Helicopter is “You and your friends follow the ranger, unsure of whether or not you can trust him. But he does seem to know what he’s thinking and he’s going to help you. It’s a risk you’re willing to take. You come upon a broken shack. He opens the door with a loud creaking sound. Quick we must go now. You go in the door and you see a ladder. You’re hesitant, but after a cold breeze rushes in and you hear more groans and screeches, you climb the ladder. At the top you notice a helicopter. The ranger gets in the helicopter and starts it. Hurry! He motions for you and your friends to get in. You do as he says. [Paragraph Break] A large shadow begins to form and two red eyes pop in front of you. You scream with all your lungs as the creature tugs at you trying to pull you from the straps which are keeping you in your seat. You scream louder and start squirming around, you get ripped from your straps and are being dragged away. No please! You scream, trembling in fear. Please... no!!!! The ranger grabs a bucket of water and rushes at you tossing it at the creature. Simon screams and drops you, your head hitting the hard concrete platform, making your vision. [Paragraph Break] Get your friend on the helicopter. You’re about to pass out when you here a long screech and screams. Then you feel pain deep into your arm... then blackness.” [The Ride] The Ride is a room. The Ride is east of The Helicopter. The description of The Ride is “You slowly open your eyes to the sound of a propeller turning wildly. You gently look to your side and you see the bright blue sky, with birds singing a beautiful song. You hear the sound of waves roaring and the ocean humming a gentle melody. You gently sit up and see an island ahead of you. Palm trees sway and people laugh. The soft breeze makes the tropical leaves dance, expressing their true nature. Ladies and gentlemen. You hear the ranger say. Welcome to Healers Island..... [Paragraph Break] To be continued.”
