The time reads 3:55" The Supply Closet is a room. "The closet is tightly packed. Buckets filled with food for the animals are sitting on the floor in front of you. You try to remember what Gloria said... is it time for the lemurs to eat? Or the howlers?" The yellow bucket is in the supply closet. The yellow bucket is a container. A cup of oranges is in the bucket. The red bucket is in the supply closet. The red bucket is a container. A bundle leaves and flowers is in the red bucket. The blue bucket is in the supply closet. The blue bucket is a container. A cup of unpeeled durian fruit is in the blue bucket. The scrap of paper is in the Supply Closet. The description of the scrap of paper is "The following is written in sprawling handwriting: Yellow bucket- lemurs- 4 o'clock. Blue bucket- howler monkeys- 5 o'clock. Red bucket- orangutans- half past five" Before taking a container: if the player is holding a container: say "Only take one bucket. It would be too heavy for you to carry both of the buckets. Besides, then you would have to bring it back later to feed the other animals." A wooden door is north of the Supply Closet. The wooden door is a door. The description of the wooden door is "The door is plain, except for crude drawings in permanent markers that make you glad that it isn't bring your daughter to work day. Little Sophie would most definitely not have liked those drawings." Before opening wooden door: if the player is holding the red bucket: if the player is holding the blue bucket: now the red bucket is in the Supply Closet; say "It is a bad idea to take more than one bucket. You have dropped the red one." Before opening wooden door: if the player is holding the red bucket: if the player is holding the yellow bucket: now the red bucket is in the Supply Closet; say "It is a bad idea to take more than one bucket. On it you can see a sign, but the letters are so caked in grime it is impossible to read." The Orangutan Cage is west of the red door. The Orangutan Cage is a room. The green door is east of the Hallway. The green door is a locked door. The description of the green door is "The door is the vivid color of vomit. On it you can see a sign, and a few of the letters are discernible. They read B_a C__str__t_r." The dented door is north of the Hallway. The dented door is a door. The description of the dented door is "The door is a wooden door, with large dents in it, Upon closer inspection, you find rusty colored flakes that look suspiciously like blood. Your stomach does a little flip and you decide that is enough examination of the door." Another Hallway is north of the dented door. Another Hallway is a room. "This hallway seems a little bit better maintenance than the first. The lights seem brighter and the floor is not half as dirty. Your heart begins to lift as you think that you are closer to the completion of your mission. On the west is a blue door. On the east is a purple door. To the north is a wooden door." The blue door is west of Another Hallway. The blue door is a door. The description of the blue door is "The blue door is painted the sad, dreary color that makes you reminiscent of crying clowns. Again, the sign on the door is dirty and impossible to read. You think the first letter might be an H." The purple door is east of Another Hallway. The purple door is a locked door. The description of the purple door is "You cannot think of a time when you saw a more repulsive purple. The paint is flaking, and you are sure that the door has never been replaced in the seven years that this cage has been built. Of course, the one cage that you remember what is in it is the only one that has a legible sign on it. Through the faded print, you can faintly make out the words 'King Cobra'. Your heart sinks. A real, plain, clean, undented, unbloodied, unpainted door! This must lead to wherever you are going!" The Howler Monkey Cage is a room. The Howler Monkey Cage is west of the blue door. Yet Another Hallway is north of another wooden door. "You stop and think. Would it not have been easier to just make one, long, hallway? A word springs to mind. 'Containment'. Duh. If one of the animals were to escape its enclosure it would be much harder to stop it in one, long hallway. You think back to the dented door and give a shudder. This hallway is the cleanest of them all, so far. The door to the north is completely normal. You know, somehow, if you exit that door it will end the game. Have you completed Gloria's task? To the west is a yellow door. To the east, a black one." North of Yet Another Hallway is the exit door. North of the exit door is the Zoo. The Zoo is a room. The description of the exit door is "Nondescript. It is a normal, everyday door. Somehow this makes you even more reluctant to turn the handle." The yellow door is west of Yet Another Hallway. The yellow door is a door. The description of the yellow door is "The yellow is the happiest of the colors you have seen so far. It matches the yellow bucket perfectly. The sign is faded and grimy, but this time you manage to scrape some of the crust off with your nail. It reads: Lemu_. You break into a grin and check your watch. 3:58 blinks triumphantly back at you." The black door is east of Yet Another Hallway. The black door is a locked door. The description is "The black seems to suck up all of the light. You can't help but turning back to glimpse at the yellow. It is so much happier than this deary black. There is no sign, but you think you can remember what is inside. It was either a Gila Monster or a Rat Snake, or was that the previous resident? It does not matter. You know you are not supposed to feed it." The Lemur Cage is west of the yellow door. Every turn: if the player is in the Orangutan Cage: say "As you open the door, a blinding blur of orange whirls at your face. Of course, you think, the red door leads to hungry orangutans. The sharp pain of teeth is the last thing you feel before blacking out."; end the game in death. Every turn: if the player is in the Howler Monkey Cage: say "As you open the door, you hear loud whoopings. Quickly realizing your mistake, you hurry to slam the door closed. A black blur flies towards you and grabs hold of your arm. It pulls you away and you feel your grip on the door loosening. As you spin to face your attacker, you can see the zoo visitors peering in at the commotion. As the monkey begs for your attention, your heart has already stopped. Standing on the other side of the glass is your boss. She shakes her head and makes a motion with her hand."; end the game saying "You are fired." Every turn: if the player is in the Lemur Cage and the player has the red bucket: say "The lemurs chatter angrily at you. They swarm around and sniff the bucket before scurrying away to chide you from a distance. What were you thinking? Lemurs most definitely do not eat leaves and flowers.". Every turn: if the player is in the Lemur Cage and the player has the blue bucket: say "The lemurs chatter angrily at you. They swarm around and sniff the bucket before scurrying away to chide you from a distance. What were you thinking? Lemurs most definitely do not eat durian fruit. Especially if it is left unpeeled.". Every turn: if the player is in the Lemur Cage and the player has the yellow bucket: say "The lemurs swarm happily over you, chattering away to each other and snatching tiny bits of orange. You dump the bucket out and watch the lemurs eat. Plastered on your face is a smile from the ticklish feeling of little lemur feet. East is back into the hallway." Every turn: if the player is in the Zoo: if the player has been in the Lemur Cage: say "Congratulations, you have completed the puzzle. The sun shines bright on your face and fresh air cleans your lungs. Next time, you'll write down what you have to do so you remember!"; end the game saying "Congratulations!" Every turn: if the player is in the Zoo: if the player has not been in the Lemur Cage: say "You get a sinking feeling as the sin hits your face. Gloria is standing there, and she looks angry. She rattles off about all the mistakes you have made. The lemurs, you think to yourself, I was supposed to feed the lemurs..."; end the game saying "You are fired."
