The maximum carrying velocity is 3.

Volume 1 - The Statue

After taking a magical object:
increase the score by 3;
say "You take the [noun]. It emits a blue aura briefly: that object is magical and will help you on your quest."

An object can be magical. The golden leaf, the diamond fern and the silver pebble are magical.

Magicosity is a number which varies. Magicosity is 1.

Instead of giving something (called the gift) to the Statue:
	now the gift is off-stage;
	if magicosity is 1:
		now magicosity is 2;
		say "The [noun] rests for a moment in the gigantic palm of the statue and then evaporates in a plume of smoke. A voice reverberates in the clouds - 'I need three magical objects to open the portal: that was one of them.' The statue returns to being just that.";
		stop the action.
	
Instead of giving something (called the gift) to the Statue when magicosity is 2:
		now the gift is off-stage;
		now magicosity is 3;
		say "The [noun] rests for a moment in the gigantic palm of the statue and then evaporates in plume of smoke. A voice reverberates in the clouds - 'Well done - I still need one magical object to open the portal.' The statue returns to being just that.";
	stop the action.

Instead of giving something (called the gift) to the Statue when magicosity is 3:
		now the gift is off-stage;
		now magicosity is 4;
		say "The [noun] rests for a moment in the gigantic palm of the statue and then evaporates in plume of smoke. A voice reverberates in the clouds - 'You have opened the magic portal - now ENTER it to continue your quest.'"; 
		now the portal is in the Peak;
		try looking.

The portal is an enterable container. The initial appearance of the portal is "Shimmering invitingly, the portal seems to beckon you to ENTER it."		

Instead of entering the portal:
say "You enter the shimmering folds of the magic portal and are instantly transported to...[line break]";
increase the score by 4;
move the player to the Barren Land Entrance.

Beach is a room. "The waves lap gently against the sandy beach where you woke up after the storm."

The Lagoon is south of the Beach. "The water is a sapphire blue."
There is a shark in the Lagoon. The shark is an animal. The description of the shark is "It's menacingly sharp teeth glint in the sun. It doesn't look to hungry."
Instead of taking the shark:
say "It would probably bite your hand off if you tried that."

Swimming is an action applying to nothing. Understand "swim" or "go for a swim" or "go for a dip" or "paddle" as swimming.

Check swimming when the player is in Beach:
say "You paddle your toes in the waves and feel refreshed by the cold foam."

Check swimming when the player is in Lagoon: 
say "The shark begins to circle menacingly and you decide that you would prefer to continue your adventure with your limbs intact."

The Jungle is east of the Lagoon. "The trees sway gently is the warm breeze. Nothing much to see here."

There is a diamond fern in the Jungle. The description of the diamond fern is "This valuable gem gleams like the sun. I wonder what it is doing on this island?"

The Forest is north of the Jungle. "The wind rustles the leaves in the trees."

There is a golden leaf in the Forest. The description of the golden leaf is "This treasure shines brightly in the sun."

The Mountain is west of the Beach. "This spectacle is a solitary wonder. The Peak rises high above the clouds."

The Ruins is south of the Mountain. "This old relic is the signs that there was once people on this island. Oddly, there aren't any treasures here. There is only a hole on the right. How odd."

The Mysterious Hole is down from the Ruins. "There is just enough light for you to see."

There is a old dough in the Mysterious Hole. The old dough is edible.

The Treasure Room is a room. "Many treasures lie here. They glint in the light. I would say that this is a job well done."

The Ruins is west of the Lagoon.
 
There is a silver pebble in the Mountain. The description of the silver pebble is "This treasure must have rolled down the mountain. This might mean that there is a treasure trove hidden up there!"

The Forest is east of the Beach.

The Peak is up from the Mountain. "You gaze down at the orangey-pink clouds as they roll past you in the dazzling sunset."

The Statue is a person in the Peak. The description of the Statue is "This large stone statue, which reminds you somewhat of the statues on Easter Island - but with a gigantic hand - seems to have a flicker of life in its eye. Perhaps you could try to GIVE it things."

Volume 2 - The Barren Lands

The Barren Land Entrance is a room. "Around you the land is scorched from many fires. I wonder what caused them?"

There is serrated sword in the Barren Land Entrance. The description of the serrated sword is "This powerful weapon could easily slay anything."

After taking the serrated sword:
increase the score by 2;
say "You take the sword. You can feel power as it rests in your hand."

The Barren Land Pass is east of the Barren Land Entrance. "This narrow pass between scorched mountains is hard to get through."

There is a stone sign in the Barren Land Pass. The stone sign is scenery. The description of the stone sign is "BEWARE! The Great Barren Plains lies ahead. The Great Barren Plains are the home to the Destructunon the beast feared throughout the Barren Lands. Continue at your own risk."

The Barren Land Mountain is east of the Barren Land Pass. "This challenging climb looks like a tough one."

The Barren Mountain Path is up from the Barren Land Mountain.

The Barren Mountain Path2 is east from the Barren Mountain Path.

The Barren Mountain Path3 is up from the Barren Mountain Path2.

The Barren Mountain Path4 is up from the Barren Mountain Path3.

The Barren Mountain Path5 is west from the Barren Mountain Path4.

The Barren Mountain Peak is up from the Barren Mountain Path5. "When you look down you see red rolling clouds passing beneath you." 

The Barren Plains is down from Barren Mountain Peak. "Great job! You have finally reached the Barren Plains, home to the Destructunon. I hope you have that sword! (hint hint!)"

The Destructunon is a person in the Barren Plains. The description of the Destructunon is "This Monstrous beast towers high over you.  
 I bet you will be really glad you bought that sword now!"

Understand "destuctunon" or "destructonon" or "destructinon" or "desctructunon" or "destructunun" as the Destructunon.

The Destructucorpse is scenery. The initial appearance is "The hulking corpse of the once mighty Destructunon."

Instead of attacking the Destructunon when the player has the serrated sword: 
now the Destructunon is off-stage;
move the Destructucorpse to the Barren Plains;
increase the score by 10;
say "The beast charges at you. you swing your sword madly but fruitlessly. The Destructunon knocks you off you feat and sends you flying across the burnt ground. The Destructunon charges at you again. you climb to you feat in vain. But this time you are ready. Just before the Destructunon and you make contact, you slid underneath it and stab your sword into the beast's neck and belly killing it in a matter of seconds. A Boulder moves to reveal a corridor in the side of a mountain.[line break]You've killed the Destructunon! Great job!"

Instead of attacking the Destructunon:
say "You fool! Do you have a death wish? Without some kind of powerful weapon you'll be mincemeat in seconds!"

The Mysterious Corridor is north from the Barren Plains. "This long twisting corridor sees to go on forever!"

The Golden Room is north from the Mysterious Corridor. "This magical room made from 24 carat gold. The glow of it is amazing. there are golden statues of gods and heroes everywhere."

Every turn:
	if the player is in the Golden Room:
		say "Great job! You've done it! You have managed to complete the objectives and have slain the Destructunon. This room is your prize. I hope you had a great time playing this game.
Thanks For Playing!";
		end the game in victory.
