"The Monster Elements" by Hamish McMahon The maximum score is 30. The Your Camp is a room. "A place of welcome. Your safe camp. A place where no monsters can enter." The Gate is north of the Your Camp. "The gate leading to the outside world. Be warned. Monsters lurk out there." The East Corner Wall is east of the Gate. The West Corner Wall is west of the Gate. The East Wall is east of the Your Camp. The East Wall is south of the East Corner Wall. The West Wall is west of Your Camp. The West Wall is south of the West Corner Wall. The South Path is north of the Gate. "The first steps of your adventure. Or mabey your eleventh or twelth, seeing that you had to walk all this way." The Frog-like Monster is a person in the South Path. The description of the Frog-like Monster is "Careful! Don't get to near it! It may be cute and seemingly harmless when it's asleep, but if it wakes up, it might mistake you for a fly! *snigger snigger*" Instead of attacking the Frog-like Monster: say "Didn't you hear me?! I told you to leave that thing alone!!" The Choice Plains are north of the South Path. "The Choice Plains. Quite a name huh? Yeah I thought so!" There is a Ice Sword in the Choice Plains. The description of the Ice Sword is "As you hold the hilt you can feel a power flow through your body. Though, if I were you, I wouldn't touch that blade. It gives you sharp frostbite!" The North Path is north of the Choice Plains. "Continue and you will be at the Great Sea. Though, I wouldn't go swimming. The Water Monster lurks in there." The Great Sea is north of the North Path. "This vast ocean is the home of the Water Monster. WARNING. Swimming is NOT recommended!" The Water Monster is a person in the Great Sea. The description of the Water Monster is "This massive beast lurks in the shallows, waiting for someone to go for a dip. You know what I said about not swimming? Well, I just hope you listened!" Instead of attacking the Water Monster when the player has the Ice Sword: now the Water Monster is off-stage; increase the score by 10; say "You swim in the water to draw the Water Monster's attention. The beast swims towards you like lightning. It opens it's massive mouth to reveal hundreds of yellow teeth. (Yuck!) Just before it closes it's jaws around you, you plunge the Ice Sword into it's mouth, freezing it and then shattering it like glass. I would say 'Good work!' but now I'm freezing!" Instead of attacking the Water Monster: say "You know, you might have better luck by using the Ice Sword." There is a Water Sword in the Great Sea. The description of the Water Sword is "As you hold the hilt you can feel a power flow through your body. Just don't try the sword swallowing trick. You might drown!" The East Path is east of the Choice Plains. "Continue and you will be at the Great Fire Lands. Don't bring chocolate though. It'll melt!" The Great Fire Lands is east of the East Path. "The Great Fire Lands. Another great name huh? Anyway, this place was once thriving with life. All jolly and that. But then one day the Fire Monster came and burnt everything. This can't be restored. But avenge the things that once lived here by killing the Fire Monster." The flames are scenery in the Great Fire Lands. The Fire Volcano is east of the Great Fire Lands. "Yup. I know. Another great name. The Fire Monster lives up there. But don't expect me to come. I'm afraid of heights!" The Volcano Crater is up from the Fire Volcano. "Can you hear me down here? If you can, then use the Water Sword to slay the Fire Monster." The Fire Monster is a person in the Volcano Crater. The description of the Fire Monster is "This monster opens a fiery eye to look at you, but it stays still." Instead of attacking the Fire Monster when the player has the Water Sword: now the Fire Monster is off-stage; increase the score by 10; say "As you bring up the Water Sword the Fire Monster Charges at you. You madly swing the Sword and slice through the Fire Monster. The Monster rears up in pain and melts to the ground and evaporates." Instead of attacking the Fire Monster: say "You know, you might have better luck by using the Water Sword." There is a Fire Sword in the Volcano Crater. The description of the Fire Sword is "As you hold the hilt you can feel a power flow through your body. Maybe we could find some deer? That word would save us having to cook them!" The West Path is west of the Choice Plains. "Continue and you will be at the Great Ice Lands. If you have melted chocolate, you could take it there and freeze it!" The Great Ice Lands is west of the West Path. "How many great name can one person make? Anyway the story to this place is the same as the story to the Great Fire Lands. The only difference is that instead of a Fire Monster burning everything, an Ice Monster froze everything!. Anyway, you know the drill. Avenge the things that once lived here." The Ice Mountain is west of the Great Ice Lands. "This is where the Ice Monster lives. Well, you know how I don't like heights, so I'll stay here. Have fun!" The Ice Mountain Path is up from the Ice Mountain. "I forgot to mention that this is a climbing place!" The Ice Mountain Path 2 is west of the Ice Mountain Path. The Ice Mountain Path 3 is north of the Ice Mountain Path 2. The Ice Mountain Path 4 is up from the Ice Mountain Path 3. The Ice Mountain Path 5 is east of the Ice Mountain Path 4. The Ice Mountain Path 6 is south of the Ice Mountain Path 5. The Ice Mountain Path 7 is west of the Ice Mountain Path 6. The Ice Mountain Peak is up from the Ice Mountain Path 7. "If you can hear me fro up there, I congratulate you! Now kill the Ice Monster!" The Ice Monster is a person in the Ice Mountain Peak. The description of the Ice Monster is "This freezing Monster looks at you menacingly." Instead of attacking the Ice Monster when the player has the Fire Sword: now the Ice Monster is off-stage; increase the score by 10; say "The snow around you melts, creating many slippery puddles as you bring out the Fire Sword. The Ice Monster runs towards you. Just as it almost gets to you, it slips in the puddles and slides towards you. As it reaches you, you plunge the Fire Sword into it's gut. Great job! I can see gallons of water flowing down here! I heard a rumbling coming from the Choice Plains! There is a hole there! We should check it out." Instead of attacking the Ice Monster: say "You know, you might have better luck by using the Fire Sword." The Golden Room is down from the Choice Plains. "This magical room made from 24 carat gold. The glow of it is amazing. there are golden statues of gods and heroes everywhere." Every turn: if the player is in the Golden Room: say "Great job! You've done it! You have managed to complete the objectives and have slain all of the Elemental Monsters! This room is your prize. I hope you had a great time playing this game. Thanks For Playing!"; end the game in victory.
