"An Adventurer's Backyard" When play begins: now the command prompt is "What now? " The carrying capacity of the player is 6. Part 1 - The Outdoors The Backyard is a room. "You are in an adventurer's backyard. A patio lies east while a tool shed stands to the south. A fountain burbles to the southeast and a vegetable garden lies west." The Patio is east of the Backyard. "You are on a cobblestone patio." In the Patio is a container called drinking glass. The carrying capacity of the drinking glass is 1. In the Patio is a portable container called lawn chair. Chapter 1 - The Fountain South of the Patio is a room called By the Fountain. By the Fountain is southeast of the Backyard. "A fountain burbles nearby." An object called the fountain is scenery in By the Fountain. The water is a fixed in place thing in By the Fountain. The indefinite article is "some". The description of the water is "The water sparkles, as if with magic!" Procedural rule while drinking the water: ignore the carrying requirements rule. After drinking the water: say "That really hit the spot!" The Shed is south of the Backyard. "You are in a dank tool shed." The shovel is in the shed. "A long-handled shovel leans against the wall." The description of the shovel is "It is used for digging in dirt." The hatchet is in the Shed. "A hatchet for chopping wood hangs on a hook." The description of the hatchet is "It looks like it could chop some wood." The Garden is west of the Backyard. "You are in a lovely vegetable garden. The By The Tree is south of the Garden. "A tall oak tree provides shade. There is a treehouse in the tree. You can see a garden to the north." The Oak Tree is scenery in By The Tree. The Treehouse is up from the By The Tree. "You are in a treehouse made from wooden planks. You could probably climb to the upper branches from here." The Crown of the Tree is up from the treehouse. "You are in the swaying branches at the top of an old oak tree. You can see the whole yard from here." Before going to Crown of the Tree: say "You step gingerly onto a branch and work your way to the top." Part 2 - The House The sliding glass door is east of the Patio and west of the Den. The sliding glass door is a door. The sliding glass door is closed. The Den is west of the Hallway. "This is a den used for sitting and entertaining. A hallway lies east."
