When play begins: say "Welcome to the Lion Game! This is a multi choice game that follows Herman the lion who is trying to help Ben the Bluebird find his missing egg. In this game the only commands needed are North, East, West and South.[paragraph break]" [HOME] the description of home is "Your house is messy and in dire need of a clean up. You hear a soft knock at your front door. When you open it you find a small Bluebird fluttering around outside. He says his name is Ben and he needs help finding his lost egg. You agree to help him. To start your search, to the North is the Redwoods and to the South is Oregon." Oregon is south of Home. [OREGON] the description of Oregon is "your at the top of Mt Tabor. There are people almost everywhere you look. Because you are a lion you don't want people seeing you! You need to move fast! You see a small trail leading West." Redwoods is north of home [REDWOODS] the description of Redwoods is "You are in the center of the redwoods. You see huge trees everywhere. So high you have to crane your neck just to see." Shed is west of Oregon [SHED] the description of Shed is "There is a small rickety shed in the distance. Nobody is here at least. Go West to go inside." Shed entrance is west of shed [SHED ENTRANCE] the description of shed entrance is " You see a shadowy figure creeping toward you. You look closer and see its a bear! You try to run or call for help but its useless. The bear eats you. GAME OVER!" Tree is east of redwoods. "You have come to a small tree. There doesn't seem to be anything unusual about it from the naked eye." clearing is north of tree. clearing is west of tree. "Here there is a clearing. You can hear voices coming from behind the trees. If you don't move now, you could get caught!" Key is here key is an object leaves is south of clearing. leaves is east of clearing. "Something shiny seems to be hiding in a pile of leaves. You can't make out exactly what it is. You go take a closer look. You see that its a key! It has a odd tree design on the front and a strange shape." wooden door is west of leaves. wooden door is north of leaves. "Up ahead you see a wooden door. Its oval shaped and seems to be leading underneath the tree. There seems to be a strange design on the door much like the one on the key. You take the key and place it in the door lock. With a swift click the door opens and creaks as it unhinges from the tree. [paragraph break] Inside you see a cave like room and dead center is a nest. You take a closer look only to see a little bluebird head pop up form underneath. It chirps loudly and frantically at the sight of a lion. Ben comes up behind you and thanks you greatly for all your help. [paragraph break] YOU HAVE WON!" dead end is north of redwoods. "You have reached a dead end. There are lots of trails to follow its hard to choose the right one. The only way to get out of this it to go back.[paragraph break] Go south to go back." redwoods is south of dead end. HUMAN ALERT! is west of redwoods. "Unfortunately because this is a tourist attraction, people are everywhere. And seeing a lion being pulled out of the redwoods would NOT be good for business. Unfortunately for you, you have walked right into the entrance/parking lot of the redwoods. Park authorities come and carry you discreetly away. [paragraph break] GAME OVER!" Eureka is south of redwoods. "you are in a place called Eureka. Its a small town so you can only go east or south." vicious dogs is east of Eureka "While walking down an alleyway you come across 8 vicious dogs! They don't seem friendly but you hope they won't come after you because you are in fact a lion. You start to slowly walk the other way but in one sudden movement all the dogs come after you at once. GAME OVER!" help is south of Eureka "A kind man pulls you aside as your walking down the street. He tells you that you can't be seen walkn' around like this. He tells you that you must either go back to where you came from(north) or go east." redwoods is north of help. ally is east of help. "You find an ally way with dumpsters lining the brick wall. You smell food and decide to take a look. You find a bag of disagreed meat. And since you are starving having been out so long you decide to eat it. ALL of it. Your stomach starts to churn and you feel nauseous. [paragraph break] GAME OVER!"
