Instead of facing up: say "Above you is the ceiling of the room." Section 2 - Scenario When play begins: say "Where am I ? How did I get here?"; The Den is a room."[if den is unvisited]As you blink your eyes a small, dark room appears before you. You notice that you are laying on the floor atop a small rug. Your head is throbbing and your memory is fuzzy. The room appears to be completely empty but for you and the rug[end if][paragraph break]." The rug is inside The Den. The rug is portable. The player is on the rug. The player wears blue jeans. The description of blue jeans is "You see faded, light blue denim jeans. Upon closer inspection you can detect small drops of dried blood." The wooden door is a closed door. Wooden door is south of the den. First Room is south of wooden door. The large wooden table is in the first room. "Your head erupts with pain as you travel into the first room. You reach your hand back to examine and discover matted blood covering the back of your head and considerable swelling. You feel the pulse of each heartbeat in your skull as you enter the room. This room is very similar to the first, only there is more light. This light allows you to see the giant wooden table in front of you. On the wall to your left (east) is a blue door, to the right (west) lies the green door." There is a large wooden table directly in front of you. The description of the table is "An ancient oak table. Its ornate carvings and woodwork have been faded over time. A thick layer of dust covers the table, along with the work of spiders." The rolled parchment is on the table. The rolled Parchment is a closed, openable container. The writing is in the parchment. The description of the parchment is "A rolled piece of hemp paper bound with a simple white ribbon." the description of the writing is "[italic type]What are you always waiting for?[roman type]" blue door is a closed door. blue door is east of first room. The description of the blue door is "You see an ordinary blue door. Scrawled across the door in vivid black paint is the word TOMORROW." green door is a closed door. green door is west of first room. The description of the green door is "The pale green paint is chipped and cracked. Someone has scratched the word CONTENTMENT into the surface of the door with a sharp object." after opening the green door: say "When you open the green door you have just enough time to hear the twang of a severed string before the axe placed above the door splits your skull."; end the game in death. the second room is a room. the second room is east of the blue door."When you enter this room you are hit immediately with the sickening stench of charred flesh. Lying prone upon the floor are the smoking remains of what used to be a rather large dog." the charred dog is an object. the charred dog is in the second room. the mouth is part of the charred dog. the mouth is an open container. the description of the charred dog is "Upon the floor lies what once have been a pleasant companion. Its fur and skin has been charred and burned beyond recognition. Within its mouth is a small hand towel, which is curiously unburned and pristine." the hand towel is an object. the hand towel can be carried. the hand towel is in the mouth. the description of the hand towel is "A simple white hand towel with a light blue stripe at each end. It looks as though it has just been laundered." red door is a closed door. red door is south of second room. The description of the red door is "You approach a simple door the color of a fire engine. This door looks freshly painted, and indeed there are drops of fresh paint on the floor before the threshold of the door. Printed in clear block letters in the center of the door is [italic type] I have holes in my top and bottom, my left and right, and in the middle. But I still hold water.[roman type][paragraph break]" after opening the red door: say "You carefully open the red door revealing a spacious, well lit room. On the other side are two large windows overlooking a large courtyard. As you enter the room you feel the tile shift beneath your foot. As this happens you feel a drop of liquid hit your arm. You realize too late that the trap is sprung as the acid rains down from the ceiling. Your last thought as you choke on the smoke of your burning flesh is [italic type]why did I open the red door???[roman type]"; end the game in death. yellow door is a closed door. yellow door is east of second room. The description of the yellow door is "You approach a door with a color reminicent of urine. Scrawled across the door in ball point pen is the following phrase. [italic type] What gets wetter as it dries?[roman type][paragraph break]" black door is a closed door. black door is north of second room. The description of the black door is "You see a door the color of a starless night. As you get closer you can see something written along the edge. Written in curiously small writing in white is the phrase [italic type]Give me food, and I will live; give me water, and I will die.[roman type][paragraph break]" after opening the black door: say "Your hand squeezes around the knob of the black door. Carefully you turn it. As you turn the knob the top of the door explodes as a shotgun blast rings out. Splinters of wood and white hot metal flay the skin from your skull. As the world blackens you have a silly thought… [italic type]your ears would be ringing if they were still attached.[roman type]";end the game in death. After deciding the scope of the player while in the second room: place the first room in scope; Instead of going when the player is in the second room and the player does not carry the hand towel: say "You start to move on, but realized you have not examined everything. Perhaps one of these objects could give you a clue of how to proceed."; stop the action. the third room is a room. the second room is south of the yellow door.
