That man hated stopping, he just wanted to get to Oregon as soon as possible. I never liked that man, always thought he was sketchy. He never even told us where he came from. [paragraph break] We know to the north of here is a river and to the northeast is the Plateau. You are not quite sure what is to the northwest but you have an intriguing feeling about it. [paragraph break] Mortem, Famis and Viktor are all packing up camp"

The Town is a room. The Town is northwest of the campsite. The Town is west of the River. "This place looks like it has been rundown for years. Nothing helpful around here." 

The Desert is a room. The Desert is north of the River. "a dusty empty stretch of desert that looks like it would take all night to travel this is going to be quite the drain on our water supply"
