The Main Hall is a room.  North of the main hall is the Living Room. 
"Thay are chasing you! Navigate the house quickly before it's too late! To move, type North or N, East or E, South or S, West or W. Type something to do it. Some actions will not be recognized."
The Vase and Chair are fixed in place in the Living Room.
Inside the vase is money. The money is edible. After eating the money: say "You eat the money and choke."; end the game in death.
The Parent is a person in the Living Room. 
Every turn when the player can see the Parent:
	say "The Parent walks [one of]angrily[or]anxiously[as decreasingly likely outcomes] around [a random fixed in place thing which is in the location]."

The Main Hall is above the trapdoor. The trapdoor is fixed in place. The Basement is a room. The Basement is through the trapdoor. 

A staircase is a kind of door. A staircase is usually open. A staircase is seldom openable.

The stairs is a staircase. It is above the Basement and below the Main Hall. It is scenery. 

The Chain is fixed in place in the basement. The Stopwatch  is in the Basement.

The Meat locker is a room. There is meat is fixed in place in the Meat locker.  
Instead of taking meat:
Say "No matter how hungry you are, The meat is too big to eat."

The stone door is a closed, locked, openable door. It is scenery. The stone door is south of the Basement and north of the Meat locker. The description of the stone door is "A stone door that can be opened with the push of a button."

The button is a device in the Basement. "[if the Basement is unvisited]Here is a Button and a stone door that leads to the south. To open the door, you must push the button. To press the button and open the gate, simply type 'push button' or 'press button'.[end if][if the  Basement is visited]Here is a button that you push to open the door to the south. Have you pushed it yet?[end if]"

The button is switched off. The button is fixed in place. The description of the button is "A big, red, round button that can be used to open the gate."

Instead of pushing a button:
	try switching on the button.

Carry out switching on the button:
	now the stone door is open;
	say "You did it! The gate is now open. Go south to pass through it."

The Closet is west of the wood door.
The desk is in the Closet. "There is a desk with a drawer." The drawer is part of the desk. The drawer is a closed openable container. In the drawer is a pen and a cookie. On the desk is a book.

The description of the desk is "It is your standard desk with a desktop and a single drawer."

The description of the drawer is "This drawer is part of the desk."

The description of the book is "Hello. This is Joseph. I just need to tell you something. I need to sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss " 

The description of the pen is "This is a pen. Don't write in the book."

The cookie is edible. The description of the cookie is "The cookie is edible. Eat it!"

East of the Main Hall is the Bathroom.
The toilet is in the Bathroom. 
The description of the toilet is "Someone forgot to flush. Disgusting."
Poop is in the toilet.
The poop is edible. After eating the poop: say "You eat the poop and die of Dysentery."; end the game in death.
North of the main hall is the Living Room. The mouse is an animal in the Living Room. 
The mouse is edible. After eating the mouse: say "You are truly disgusting."; end the game in death.
Every turn:
	if the player has been in the Living Room for 2 turns, say "The parent says 'Leave me alone!'" 

Every turn: 
	if the mouse is in a room (called the current space): 
		let next space be a random room which is adjacent to the current space; 
		if the mouse is visible, say "You see a mouse scurry into the [the next space]."; 
		move the mouse to next space; 
		if the mouse is visible, say "A mouse scurries in from the [the current space]."

East of the Living Room is the Bedroom. 

The maid is a woman in the Bedroom.

Every turn:
	if the maid is active:
		repeat through the Table of the maid's Movement: 
			let last space be the location of the maid; 
			if the maid can be seen by the player, say "The maid leaves to clean the [the destination entry]."; 
			move the maid to destination entry; 
			if the maid can be seen by the player, say "The maid arrives from [the last space]."; 
			blank out the whole row;
			break.

The maid can be active or passive. The maid is active.
Before doing something to the maid: 
	now the maid is passive;
Instead of telling the maid about something: 
	say "She waits and listens, then goes back to work, paying no mind to what you just said."
Instead of asking the maid about something: 
	say "She doesn't know what you're talking about and doesn't really care."

Every turn when the maid is passive: 
	now the maid is active.

The Hallway is a south of the Gold Door. "You are in the hall leading to your room to the north. Your receiving room for your Portal is to the East. Your Room is to the south."

Your Room is south of the Hallway. "You are in your Room. When you turn on your Portal, it will move you to your receiving room across the hall. If you want to use it again you must turn off the Portal first." The Portal is a fixed in place device in Your Room. The description of the Portal is "Your Portal that transports you to your receiving room. You must switch your Portal off between uses." Carry out switching on the Portal: move player to Receiving Room. 

Receiving Room is east of the Hallway. "You are in the receiving chamber for your Portal. The Hallway is to the West." Receiver is an object in the Receiving Room. It is fixed in place. The description of the Receiver is "The object that your Portal transports you to."


The wood door is a closed door. The gold door is a closed locked door. The gold key unlocks gold door.

The wood door is west of the Main Hall. The gold door is south of the Bedroom.

A stand is in the Closet. The stand is fixed in place. The gold key is on the stand. After taking Gold Key: say "You have the key now."; award 50 points.

The gold box is in the Receiving Room. The gold box is a locked closed openable container. The gold key unlocks the gold box. Inside the box is the Hotdog. The Hotdog is edible. 
Every turn:
after eating Hotdog: end the game in victory

There are 200 possible points.
