"Museum Curator" The Museum is a room. "You are in a brightly lit museum. You carry a top hat, a daisy, a stink bomb, and a mouse." The maximum score is -10. When play begins, change the right hand status line to "Score: [score]". After printing the banner text when not requesting the story file version: say "[paragraph break][italic type][fixed letter spacing]The goal in this game is to befriend the museum curator.[variable letter spacing][roman type][paragraph break]" Understand "talk to [someone]" as talking to. Talking to is an action applying to one thing. The player is wearing pants, a shirt, and shoes. After taking off the pants: say "You take off your pants.[line break]'Security!' Leana calls over her shoulder."; increase score by -5; After taking off the shirt: say "'Shirts must be worn at all times within the museum!' Says the curator."; increase score by -3; Understand "let [something] go" as loosing. Loosing is an action applying to one thing. Carry out loosing: say "The mouse scampers away."; increase the score by -5; The player is carrying a mouse. The description of the mouse is "A cute little white one." The player is carrying a stink bomb. The description of the stink bomb is "Oh, the fun you could have... All you have to do is drop it." After dropping stink bomb: say "A foul stench fills the air. Leana looks at you with reproach."; increase the score by -3; The player is carrying the daisy. The description of the daisy is "A pretty little thing." A subject is a kind of thing. Art, painting, statue, vase, podium, income, work, and love life are subjects. Understand "Curator" as Leana. Leana is a woman in the Museum. "A woman stands before you. She has dark hair, a winning smile, and a tag that says [italic type]'Leana: Curator.' [roman type][line break]'Hello, there. Welcome to the museum. You can ask me about anything at all.' She says." The description of Leana is "She is quite pretty. She has dark hair and eyes, and bright red lips. She gives off an air of intelligence and authority." Instead of talking to Leana: say "Leana smiles at you politely and says 'You may ask me anything about the art pieces in this gallery.'" Instead of quizzing Leana about something: consider the attitude rules; say "She is [outcome of the rulebook]."; if rule succeeded, say "She smiles."; otherwise say "Her smile fades." Instead of viciously slicing Leana: say "You have murdered the curator. Security hauls you away and you are later charged with murder, punishable by death. Great job, hero."; end the game in death.
