"Castle"

Gateway is a room. "You are standing in the gateway of a hustling and bustling castle. North of you is the throne room."

The Throne Room is north of the Gateway. "You are in the throne room of a very busy castle. East is the kitchen, west is the bedroom, south is the gateway, below you is the dungeon, and above you is the tower."

The king's throne, the table, and the statue are fixed in place in the Throne Room.

The prince is a person in the Throne Room.

Every turn when the player can see the prince:
	say "The prince paces [one of]nervously[or]anxiously[as decreasingly likely outcomes] around [a random fixed in place thing which is in the location]."

Instead of asking the prince about something:
	say "hmm?".
	
Instead of telling the prince about something:
	say "huh?"

The Dungeon is below the Throne Room. "You are in the dark dungeon under the castle. Above you is the throne room." The mouse is an animal in the Dungeon.

Every turn: 
	if the mouse is in a room (called the current space): 
		let next space be a random room which is adjacent to the current space; 
		if the mouse is visible, say "You see a mouse scurry into the [the next space]."; 
		move the mouse to next space; 
		if the mouse is visible, say "A mouse scurries in from the [the current space]."

The Kitchen is east of the Throne Room. "You are in the kitchen. West of you is the throne room." The cook is a person in the Kitchen. The oven, the cabinet, the sink, and the counter are fixed in place in the Kitchen.
		
Instead of doing something to the cook:
	say "The cook glares at you and you quickly walk away.";
		move player to throne room.

Every turn when player can see the cook: say "[one of]The cook chops vegetables with more than a hint of menace[or]The cook takes ingredients out of the cabinet and slams them down on the counter[or]The cook throws a stack of dishes into the sink[at random]."

Every turn:
	if the player has been in the Kitchen for 2 turns, say "The cook glares at you and says 'Leave me be ya bloody bilge rat!'"

The Bedroom is west of the Throne Room. "You are in the bedroom. east of you is the throne room." The maid is a woman in the Bedroom.

Every turn:
	if the maid is active:
		repeat through the Table of the maid's Movement: 
			let last space be the location of the maid; 
			if the maid can be seen by the player, say "The maid leaves to clean the [the destination entry]."; 
			move the maid to destination entry; 
			if the maid can be seen by the player, say "The maid arrives from [the last space]."; 
			blank out the whole row;
			break.

The maid can be active or passive. The maid is active.
Before doing something to the maid: 
	now the maid is passive;
Instead of telling the maid about something: 
	say "She waits and listens, then goes back to work, paying no mind to what you just said."
Instead of asking the maid about something: 
	say "She doesn't know what you're talking about and doesn't really care."

Every turn when the maid is passive: 
	now the maid is active.

The Tower is above the Throne Room.
