"Meeting Time!" by Im Young Soo (da-ze!) To say /p: say paragraph break. To say /l: say line break. To say r: say roman type. To say b: say bold type. To say i: say italic type. When play begins: say "You are the personification of the most awesome and [bold type][italic type]FREE[roman type] country of America. [paragraph break]You usually just go by Al for short. [paragraph break]Today is meeting day, and you're not looking forward to it. It's boring and uncool. Wait, didn't Artie say something about wanting papers...?" [ ROOMS AND DOORS ] The Meeting Hall is a room. "You are in the Meeting Hall. The walls are a drab beige, and the windows on the south side reveal a garden. [paragraph break]To the East is the Break Room. To the West is the Kitchen. The table in the middle is basically the focal point of the room. [paragraph break]As Yao puts it, 'This place have no feng shui, aru!'" The boring door is a closed locked door. The description of the door is "It's just a door, dude. Ludwig used to have the key, but he said he lost it. Who knows where it is now?" The boring door is east of the Meeting hall and west of the Break Room. The sticky key unlocks the boring door. The Break Room is a room. "This is the room Ludwig sends people to if they disrupt the meeting too much. Or people hide in here for a break. Not that you've EVER done that, right dude?" The Kitchen is a room. "This room was built solely for Feliciano and his excessive pasta making. Various people have tried to come up with other excuses, like 'I can make tea here.' and 'Now I don't have to eat l'Angleterre's horrible cooking!'" The Kitchen is west of the Meeting Hall. [ ITEMS ] The counter is in the Kitchen. On the counter is the toaster oven and the pasta bowl. The description of the pasta bowl is "A long-forgotten bowl of pasta. Yechh, it smells awful." The sticky key is a thing. The sticky key is an object. The description of the sticky key is "The key to the Break Room. [paragraph break]Dude, was this really in that pasta? Eww...It's all sticky and gross." Instead of examining the pasta bowl for the first time: say "A long-forgotten bowl of pasta. Down inside its gross noodles, you see something glint. It's a key!"; move the key to the kitchen; The description of the counter is "Just your average kitchen countertop with all of the things one would need to make a good bowl of pasta...Or basically any other food." The description of the toaster oven is "Just an ordinary toaster oven. You've used it to make breakfast before." The table is in the hall. On the table is Important Papers and a pen. The description of the table is "The excessively long table is set up for today's fight, er, meeting. Yeah, we'll go with meeting." The description of Important Papers is "[if the player is carrying the papers]Dude, these papers are the MOST BORING THING ever. Why waste your time reading them? Especially when Artie wants them![otherwise]Oh, yeah, you forgot you needed those! Arthur was asking for them." The description of the pen is "This is a pen that Kiku gave you not too long ago. It has a Transformer image on the clip. Pretty cool, right?" [ PEOPLE ] Arthur is a person in the Break Room. "Arthur is your brother. He's clearly very impatient, and he keeps glaring at nothing. You swear the wallpaper's shrinking in on itself from that glare..." Yao is a person in the Meeting Hall. The description of Yao is "He's very old, even if he looks rather young." Kiku is a person in the Meeting Hall. The description of Kiku is "An introverted man. He prefers to either say nothing or agree with others." Francis is a person in the Kitchen. The description of Francis is "A flamboyant French man. His hobby is bothering your brother, but you're pretty sure they care a bit more than they let on." [ REACTIONS TO PAPERS ] Instead of giving Important Papers to Arthur: say "Arthur blinks in blatant shock before accepting the papers. He offers a small smile and murmurs an awkward thanks."; award 100 points; Instead of giving Important Papers to Kiku: say "Kiku frowns and shakes his head.'I am not sure you mean to do that,' he says, pushing them back into your hand.[paragraph break]He's such a weird guy...Dude, wait, these papers aren't for him, right?"; Instead of giving Important Papers to Yao: say "Yao blinks. 'Alfred,' he asks, 'I am pretty sure these papers are not meant for me.'[paragraph break]Crap, he was right...these go to Arthur!"; Instead of giving Important Papers to Francis: say "Francis laughs lightly. You can't help but feel it was a little condescending. '[italic type]Mon ami,[roman type] I do not need these papers !' He hums. '[italic type]Angleterre[roman type] wants them.' [paragraph break]He's right. But he's also, like, weird, so you're better." [ TURN CHECKS ] Every turn: if score is 100 begin; say "You gave Arthur the papers, and just in time! The meeting is set to start now. Maybe it's time for a nap...?"; end the game in victory; end if.
