"The Mystery of a Vampire" by Caleb Craft Use undo prevention. The Coffin is a room. "You wake up in a pitch black room laying down. You try to get up but hit your head on something hard. You think to yourself and realize that you are in a coffin. You feel an amulet to your left." The amulet is in the coffin. The description is "This was very important to you because it was a gift from your late grandfather, which is probably why it was buried with you. Type 'up' to leave the coffin." The Graveyard is above the coffin. "It is nighttime and there are many graves, the more elaborate of which are closer to the entrance of the graveyard. To the north, you see the exit of the graveyard and the trail that leads to the village. You're determined to find out your cause of death." The Trail to Town is north of the Graveyard. "You start heading towards the town you used to live in, you pass a field to the east and see cows feeding on the grass and feel a sudden urge to eat. The Village you lived in is just west of you." The Field is east of the Trail to Town."There are cows feeding inside a large fenced area, and crops are planted outside of the fenced area so the cows don't ruin the crops. This farm belongs to a resident of the village that you lived in. The barn you worked in is to your north." The Barn Door is north of the field and south of the Barn."This is where you used to do all your work." The Barn Door is a closed openable door. The shovel is in the barn. The description is "This shovel is covered in blood." After examining shovel: say "You wonder if this blood could be a clue to your death." After closing barn door: say "You notice a trail you've never seen before east of the field." The Mysterious Trail is east of the field."The forest is extremely thick, and there is a trail of blood following the mysterious trail. You continue along the trail and see a clearing in the forest to the north." The Clearing is north of the Mysterious trail."You see a stone with words engraved upon it." The stone is in the clearing. The description is "He who enters shall not return, your end is in the near future." After examining stone: say "The stone moves out of the way and reveals a path to the north of the clearing." The Cursed Path is north of the clearing. "You feel eyes on you and hear a very loud, ear-piercing scream. It must be the banshee, a death omen. You look around and see multiple ravens in the trees around you, another death omen. You keep heading north and see a shack that looks like it's been abandoned for decades. It is getting close to morning and you're getting tired, so you need to make this quick and then get back to the coffin to rest. There is a trail that will lead back to the graveyard to the west and south." The Trail to the grave is west of the cursed path. "you are getting closer to the cemetery and the night is quickly disappearing." The Cemetery is south of the trail to the grave. "You can see the tomb where you started. You can also see the sun peeking over the horizon, you must hurry to your tomb." The Tomb is below the cemetery. "You have made it back to your resting place and figured out what killed you." The Your amulet is in the tomb. The description is "This was very important to you because it was a gift from your late grandfather, which is probably why it was buried with you." Instead of taking your amulet, say "You should leave this here, try examining it." Instead of taking amulet, say "You should leave this here." After examining the your amulet, end the story saying "Congratulations you have succeeded." The Shack Door is north of the cursed path and south of the Abandoned Shack. The abandoned shack is a room. "It is empty except for a book upon a table with a few candles scattered around the shack unlit. You notice a trap door on the floor." The Book is in the abandoned shack. The description is "It is written in a different language, likely latin. This book is probably a book of spells for a witch." Instead of taking the book, say "Stealing from a witch doesn't seem like a great idea." The trap door is below the abandoned shack and above the Witches Basement. "You see images of people hanging from a board on the wall and notice a picture of yourself. Above the pictures is a plaque that says 'The Chosen Ones.' 'Chosen for what?' you think. You look closer and it says that the chosen are to be killed as a sacrifice. After taking another look around the room, you decided that you got a good enough answer for your death and that it's time to return to your tomb." The shack door is a closed openable door. The Village is west of the Trail to Town."You reach the village you lived in and start searching for your house. As you approach your house, you notice a large box." The box is in the Village. The box is a container. The box contains your wallet, your jacket, and your shoes. Instead of taking the box, say "It's way too big to lift." The door to your house is north of the village and south of the Living Room."Your house is the same as you remembered it except your belongings are mostly gone." The door to your house is a closed openable door. The Your Room is east of the Living Room."Your room is empty except for a few things that have yet to be removed. You think to yourself and come to the conclusion that your family needs more money now that you are no longer making money by working on the farm you passed earlier." The Table is in the Living Room. The paper is on the table. The description is "Local Boy Killed In Farming Accident. A tragic accident on a farm has resulted in a death today." The Kitchen is north of the Living Room."The kitchen is exactly how it always had been." The door to your parents' room is west of the living room and east of Your Parents' Room. The door to your parents' room is an unopenable door."You think it better to not enter your parents room out of fear of them seeing you." After examining paper: say "You now know where you died, but you still need to know how." Instead of taking the shovel, say "It's impractical to carry this around with you." The note is in the field. The description is "Be sure to close the barn door after leaving." Instead of taking the note, say "This note isn't yours and it would be rude to take it."
