The Lobby is a room. "You find yourself in a crowded room on a cruise ship. The walls are decorated with fancy, renaissance style paintings. People are huddled towards the middle of the room and you are not sure why. You discover that the people are surrounding a young woman. Her cheeks ashen, her eyes wide open with fright, her body motionless. Sticking out of her chest is a jagged edge. You hear screams and cries of help! It is your job to figure out who the murderer is and arrest them! You have until 5:30 PM to find the killer, check your watch to be sure of the time. Better hurry!" The time of day is 5:00 PM. [Here is the watch worn by the player] The watch is worn by the player. After examining the watch: decrease the time of day by 1 minute. The description is "Your watch displays [time of day]." At 6:00 PM: say "You have run out of time! The killer has gone on a rampage. He has decided to blow up the whole ship."; End the game in death. Mister Goldheimer is in the lobby. Misses Goldheimer is in the lobby. Harald is in the lobby. Ricky is in the lobby. Miss Catherine is in the lobby. Scarlett is in the lobby. Mister Goldheimer, Misses Goldheimer, Harald, Ricky, Miss Catherine, and Scarlett are people. Mister Goldheimer, Misses Goldheimer, Harald, Ricky, Miss Catherine, and Scarlett are fixed in place. The description of Mister Goldheimer is "A tall elderly man, looks distraught and worried." The description of Harald is "He is a middle aged man wearing a black buttoned down shirt, and is on a cell phone, talking quietly." The description of Ricky is "He is a young man of about twenty. Has a heartbreaking look of despair and is desperately clutching the young woman's lifeless hand." The description of Miss Catherine is "An elderly woman; elegantly dressed, wearing one pearl earring, and quietly looking around the room." The description of Scarlett is "A young girl of about nineteen, attempting to console her friend Ricky." The Restaurant is a room. It is west of the lobby. "The restaurant is completely empty except for tables, chairs and dishes. There is a huge chandelier in the middle of the restaurant. Food is left unfinished and it seems as if everyone left their meals in a hurry." There is a red box is a container in the restaurant. The red box contains a piece of paper. The description of the piece of paper is "You are on the right track, now go west." There is a table is a kind of supporter in the restaurant. There is a plate on the table. There is food on the plate. The food is edible. The description of the food is "Mmmm, pork chops." After eating the food: Say " You have been poisoned"; End the game in death. The silverware is fixed in place. There is a painting of a mermaid in the restaurant. The painting is scenery. There is a chair in the restaurant. The chair is an enterable supporter. The description of the chair is "It's an ordinary chair." Instead of entering the chair: say "Get off of your lazy bum and find the killer!" The Butterfly room is west of the Restaurant. "The Butterfly Room is dark and abandoned as well at this time. However, when the ship is lively this is where comedians, dancers, and singers perform. There is a stage to the south of the room and there appears to be a small closet to the north." The Butterfly room contains a device called a flashlight. Carry out switching on the flashlight: now the flashlight is lit. Carry out switching off the flashlight: now the flashlight is dark. Before going to the closet: If flashlight is lit, continue the action; otherwise say "I can't see where I'm going." instead. There is a stage in the butterfly room. The stage is an enterable supporter. The description of the stage is "There is nothing special about the stage." The Closet contains a device called a switch. The switch is fixed in place. The closet is north of the Butterfly Room. The description of the closet is "This is very sophisticated for a closet. There is an exit to the south." The secret room is a room. Instead of switching on the switch: if The Butterfly Room is mapped south of the Closet, now The Secret Room is mapped south of the Closet; otherwise now The Butterfly Room is mapped south of the Closet; say "The closet shudders for a second then begins to whirl, descend, spin at a rapid rate, what have you done?!" The description of the Secret Room is "Congratulations detective, you have discovered a hint about the killer. Now just open the container and take the key to figure out what it is!" There is a green container in the secret room. The green container is locked. The green container can be unlocked. The brass key is carried by the player. It unlocks the green container. There is a silver key inside the green container. The description of the steel key is "An ordinary steel key that has the words 'Top Deck' engraved on it." After taking the silver key: say "It seems as if the victim's boyfriend, Ricky, was the last person that the victim tried to contact via cell phone. The voice mail left on the cellular phone included a description of the killer. She was wearing a ruby necklace!" The Restaurant is south of the secret room. The Staircase is a room. It is east of the Lobby. "This passage will take you to the top deck of the ship." There is a blue box in the staircase. The blue box is a container. The blue box contains a note. The description of the note is "You can think of no reason to go upstairs until you find the silver key." The top deck is a room. It is east of The Staircase. The description of the top deck is " You can see the ocean to the east. To the north is an steel grate. There are lots of lounge chairs and sunscreen bottles out. It is quiet and the sun is setting. This part of the ship looks abandoned as well. Everyone must be hiding from the killer!" The large pool is a enterable supporter in the top deck. After entering the pool: say "Is now really an appropriate time to take a swim? A killer is on the loose!" The lounge chair is scenery in the top deck. The steel grate is a locked door and scenery. The steel grate can be unlocked. The description of the steel grate is "this door is somewhat hidden behind some lounge chairs and a decorative palm tree." It is north of the top deck and south of the tiki bar. The silver key unlocks the steel grate. After opening the steel grate: say "The killer left a clue in the bathroom that your colleague detected. He says that there was a diamond earring discovered in the bathroom that had traces of the victim's blood on it. The earring does not belong to the victim." The tiki bar is a room. "This room is surrounded by glass walls, and is decorated in palm trees and tiki torches. There is a bar in the center of the room, with multiple stools for the customers. There is a variety of liquor bottles above the bar, there is a steel grate to the east." There is a half a drink in the bar. Instead of drinking the drink: end the game saying "You have been roofied." There is sofa in the tiki bar The sofa is an enterable supporter. The description of the sofa is "It is a dark red sofa with tan decorative pillows." After entering the sofa: say "mmm, very relaxing." [Arresting the criminal] Arresting is an action applying to one visible thing. Understand "arrest [someone]" as arresting. A person can be guilty or innocent. A person is usually innocent. Mister Goldheimer is an innocent person in the lobby. Misses Goldheimer is an innocent person in the lobby. Harald is an innocent person in the lobby. Miss Catherine is a guilty person in the lobby.
