observatory is a room

"Your name is Percy and you are  in a room.
You wake up in an observatory. You see a heavy sword and a scary monster. Maybe you should use the sword to KILL the monster."

The sword is in the observatory. The sword is an object. The sword can be taken.

The monster is a person in the observatory.

Carry out taking the sword: move player to forest.
After taking the sword, say "You lift the heavy sword from the ground and examine it. Suddenly, the monster lunges at you. In one clean motion, you spin and send the monsters head tumbling towards the floor.In a lush motion You are in a humid forest. To the Northeast you can see a Path. To the North you see a mountain. To the East, South, and West the forest continues. However the forest is too Humid in the East, West and South."

North of the forest is the Mountain. Mountain is a room. "You continue on into the forest and see it gets rockier north with a better path north east."

In the forest is a shiny shield. It is an object. 

After taking the shiny shield:
say " Taking the huge,shiny object in your hands you realize it is a shield! Lucky you!"

Instead of examining shiny shield: 
say "A shiny shield you found in the forest."

Path is a room. Path is northeast of Forest. There is a sign in Path. 

"Looks like the sign might be helpful. Should you examine it?" 

Carry out examining sign: say "The description of the sign is 'It reads: Go North if you want to keep playing. -Medusa."

Underground Tunnel is a room. Underground Tunnel is north of Path. 
There is a chest in Underground Tunnel. The chest is a closed, locked container. The Shield unlocks the Chest.
 
Carry out opening the container: say "Your mother is in the chest!" 

Mother is an object. Mother is in the Chest. 

Carry out taking Mother: say "You pick up Mother. You feel happiness running through you. Seconds later lightning strikes you and teleports you to Olympus, and you have WON!";
end the game in victory.
