"Laboratory 321" Laboratory 321 is a room. "You are in the laboratory 321. The west wall has a locked door. There are seven boxes on top of seven tables in the laboratory. Each box is a color of the rainbow. You remember, ROY G. BIV. Examine (x) the boxes carefully. Take only what you will need to explore the world and protect your self. To enter the storage room you must first find the correct key. If you have not played this kind of game before please know that there are choices to make and as you make choices the game unfolds. '>' means make a choice or perform an action. Some of the choices are directional: Go East. Go North, Go Southwest... and can be abbreviated e, n , sw... Other actions are: examine i.e. examine the red box (abbreviated x red box); open (yes, the red box.) take (whatever is in the red box ) open book, read book, read instructions, eat... unlock (you will need a specific key to unlock the door to storage which is west, w...)" There is a door to Storage in Laboratory 321. Storage is a room. The door to Storage is a closed locked door. The door to storage is east of Storage and west of Laboratory 321. The brass key unlocks the door to storage. The description of storage is "Congratulations! You are alive and have passed the first of many doors. Do you have more keys, food and courage? If not use the door to Storage to return east to the Laboratory. There is a plan for a room to the North,South, West and all points in between..." The red box is in the laboratory. The description of the red box is "The red box might contain a key, disinformation or knowledge." The red box is a closed openable container. The red box contains a book and a brass key. The description of the book is "This book may help you if you read it carefully but if you read it carelessly it may lead to your demise. Open the book if you dare." The book is a closed openable container. The book contains instructions. The description of the instructions is "Trust only the primary colors." The orange box is in the laboratory. The description of the orange box is "The orange box might contain poison or food." The orange box is a closed openable container. Inside the orange box is a cookie. The cookie is edible. After eating the cookie: say "You eat the cookie and die because the cookie was poison."; end the game in death. The yellow box is in the laboratory. The description of the yellow box is "The yellow box contain heat and light. Be careful it can light your way or burn you to a crisp." The yellow box is a closed openable container. The yellow box contains a gold key, a flashlight and matches. The description of the flashlight is "This flashlight may help you if you use it carefully but if you use it carelessly it may lead to your demise. Turn on the flashlight when it is dark." The description of the matches is " The red head of the match contains either phosphorus or phosphorus sesquisulfide as the active ingredient and gelatin to hold it together." The blue box is in the laboratory. The description of the blue box is "The blue box might contain nourishment, water and/or a device that will be essential for escape." The blue box is a closed openable container. The blue box contains a silver key, blue bottle, blueberries and a parachute. The description of the blue bottle is "This bottle may help you if you use it carefully but if you use it carelessly it may lead to your demise. Open the bottle if you dare." The bottle is a closed openable container. The blueberries are edible. After eating the blueberries: say "Yum. Save some because you might be hungry later." The description of the blueberries is "These are delicious, nutritious and high in antioxidants." The description of the parachute is "This will come in handy for jumping from a plane or off a cliff. Might also be useful re-purposed as a blanket on a cold night." The green box is in the laboratory. The description of the green box is "The green box might contain living or once living things." The green box is a closed openable container. Inside the green box is a leaf, a frog . The frog is an animal. The description of the frog is "Looks a lot like a cute tree frog that has poisonous skin for self -defense." The description of the leaf is "Do you know what hemlock looks or smells like? You need a field guide to poisons." After taking the leaf: say " Seems like poison ivy or maybe hemlock so you could eat it or feed it to someone." The leaf is edible. After eating the leaf: say "You eat the leaf and die because the leaf was poison."; end the game in death. After taking the frog: say "The frog's defends herself with poison, poison skin."; end the game in death. The indigo box is in the laboratory. The indigo box is a closed openable container. The description of the indigo box is "This is an airtight container. If a foul smelling smoke drifts from the open box close it quickly." Inside the indigo box is foul smelling smoke. After opening the indigo box: say "Close the indigo box or die. OOOPS too late."; end the game in death. The violet box is in the laboratory. The violet box is a closed openable container. The description of the violet box is "The violet box is made of lead. The contents might emit UV rays that will kill every living thing." After opening the violet box: say "Now you have opened the box of electromagnetic death."; end the game in death.
