Moss and other plants have started to take over the pathway. To the south is an old wrought iron gate with intricate swirls and what looks like spear heads on top.†The extravagant door is a door. The extravagant door is north of the Courtyard and south of the front hall. The description of the extravagant door is "The extravagant door is a white door with fine gold trimming around the door. It is painted a pale white and has a porcelain , with glass." The front hall is a room. The front hall is north of the extravagant door. The front hall is south of the kitchen. The front hall is southwest of the white door. The front hall is southeast of the green door. The front hall is east of the curtain. "The front hall is very long. It has an old dusty carpet with two oil lamps. The front hall extends northwest to the green door that opens the living room. You can see a white door to the northeast, and to the west there is a curtain. " The White Door is a door. The White Door is northeast of the front hall and southwest of the bedroom. The description of the White Door is “The door gently creaks open revealing the next room. Northeast of you is the Bedroom, to the southwest is the front hall.†The Green Door is a door. The Green Door is northwest of the front hall and southeast of the Living Room. The description of the Green Door is “You are standing in front of a rotting green door that’s paint is peeling. There is a small hole in the middle left hand side of the door. To the northwest is the Living Room, to the southeast is the front hall.†The curtain is a closed openable door. The description of the curtain is “The curtain is dark Green with Yellow crowns on the fabric. The curtain is used to hide the teleporter.†The teleport room is a room. The teleport room is west of the curtain. In the teleport room is the teleporter. The description of the teleport room is "This is the teleport room. The teleport room is a small room with a teleporter. The teleport switch is on the wall. The teleport switch is switched off. Switch on the teleport switch to teleport to the basement." The teleporter is in the teleport room. The teleporter is a device. The description of the teleporter is “There’s a purple glowing teleporter behind the curtain. To get out of the basement you must switch on the teleporter switch. †The Living Room is a room. The Living Room is northwest of the green door. “You are standing in the Living room. The temperature in the Living Room is a few degrees lower than the rest of the house so now you can see your breath. The Living room is round and all of the outside walls are covered in panes of glass from about stomach level up, a couple of them are broken. There is an old white couch on the left side of the room. The cloth it used to be covered in lies next to the couch. It must have been blown off by the wind. There is also an old bookshelf littered in books with some strewn around the room, and one appears to be missing. You can see an old Iron Key lying in the center of the room. You can see into the tiny kitchen window from the right side of the room. You can also see into the forest at the back of the house. Southeast of you is the front hall.†The Bedroom is a room. The Bedroom is northeast of the white door and southwest of the Creaky Staircase. “You are in the Bedroom. You are frightened by the sight of a Ghost. The armchair and bookshelf are covered in a dusty old white sheet. The bed is a king sized bed that looks like it was slept in recently, there is a painting of a rich family that would've lived in the house hung behind it. The sheets of the bed and the carpet appear to be stained with blood. There is an old stained wood vanity with a little music box sitting on it. The music box is royal blue and is playing creepy music. To the northeast you see an old Creaky Staircase." The ghost is a person in the bedroom. “You can see a ghost. The ghost’s name is Grace and is around 8 years old. Maybe you should ask her about how to escape." After asking the ghost about "how to escape": say "In order to get out, you need to find the treasure chest in the invisible room which is the kitchen. The kitchen is found north of the front hall. You will need to retrieve the key to the chest from the Attic, and there are some potions in the basement that will help you on your journey. But remember, do not drink the red potion. Drink the blue potion." The music box is in the bedroom. The music box is a object. The description of the music box is “It is blue and red and plays classical music that is quite depressing. The ghost likes the music and it never stops playing.†The Creaky Staircase is northeast of the bedroom and southwest of the Attic. “In front of you is a creaky staircase leading to the Attic. It looks as if there is a termite infestation because the wooden contraption is rotting and there are a few stairs missing. To the northeast is the Attic, to the southwest is the bedroom†The Attic is a room. The Attic is northeast of the Creaky Staircase. “You are standing in a dusty old attic. It looks like nobody’s been up here for a while. There is a window on the south wall overlooking the Courtyard. You see something quickly duck for cover in the Courtyard. In the attic there is an old cast iron cauldron hanging from the ceiling by a rusty chain. There is also an old wood bookshelf in the east corner." The Bookshelf is in the Attic. The Bookshelf is fixed in place. The description of the Bookshelf is “The Bookshelf is an old wooden bookshelf. After years of sitting in the Attic, it has been covered in a thick layer of dust and spiderwebs. On the Bookshelf there are various potions, shrunken heads, and pickled body parts. There are books on potions and black magic, and you can see A little Gold Key glinting on one of the lower shelves.†The Gold Key is in the Attic. The Gold key unlocks the Chest. After taking the Gold Key: say “The Gold Key looks like it’s been here for a while. On the handle, there is a fleur de lis surrounded by a band of little green stones.†The Iron key is in the Living Room. The Iron Key is a device. The Iron Key unlocks the silver door. After taking the Iron Key: say “The Iron Key is heavy for its size. It is quite plain. Its handle is a circle and there doesn’t seem to be anything particularly special about it.†The kitchen is north of the silver door. The description of the kitchen is “You are in the kitchen. You can smell fire. The smoke is filling up the room. There is a chest on the right side of the room. The stove is on fire. The stove is in the back of the room. The wall above the stove has a picture of the scream starring at you that is lit on fire but it’s not burning and it isn’t turning into ashes. You can hear an continuous echo through the room but you can't tell where it’s coming from.“ The chest is in the kitchen. The chest is a locked openable container. In the chest there is treasure. After opening the chest: say "There is a black chest that has a dragon drawn in gold on it. Inside the chest there’s treasure. You have found the treasure! You have won the game, now you can escape by picking up a piece of gold!â€; award 99 points. The piece of gold is a device. The piece of gold is in the chest. After taking the piece of gold: say "You have just picked up a piece of gold and have now been transported to the front of the house. You have escaped!"; award one point. Carry out taking piece of gold: move player to the front of the house. The front of the house is a room. The front of the house is south of the gate. "You are standing on the street in front of the haunted house." The gate is a locked door. The gate is north of the front of the house and south of the pathway. Every turn while in the front of the house: if score is 100 begin; say "You have won the game and escaped the haunted house."; end if. The stove is in the kitchen. The stove is a object. The stove is a fixed in place object. The description of the stove is “The stove in the kitchen is broken and on fire. The stove is really old and rusty. There are sticky webs hanging everywhere in the room and inside the stove too. But there are no spiders anywhere. The spiders must of left because of the fire. The smell of the fire coming from the stove is filling up your lungs.†The silver door is a locked door. The Iron key unlocks the silver door. The silver door is north of the front hall. The description of the silver door is â€You can't see anything here†In the basement is a red potion, a blue potion. The red potion is edible. Understand "drink [potion]" as eating. After eating the red potion: say "You drank the red potion and died because this is a lose condition."; end the game in death. The blue potion is edible. Understand "drink [blue potion]" as eating. After eating the blue potion: say "You drank the blue potion and it tasted delicious! "
