The description of Your Room is "You are in your small corner bedroom, dark except for the sliver from the streetlight that always sneaks in." Your Room contains your computer, your dresser, and your bookshelf. The description of your computer is "Your clunky old desktop. Sadly in your hunger you cannot recall the complicated password you just set. Perhaps you wrote it down somewhere." Your dresser is a container. The description of your dresser is "Clothes drip onto the floor from your dresser. [if we have not taken your footy pajamas]Your Pajamas are on top." [endif] Rule for printing the locale description of your dresser: stop. Your Footy Pajamas are wearable and in your dresser. The description is "Comfy plaid PJs. "The door to The Attic creaks open, and you can see stairs winding up above you. A fetid smell wafts down onto you. You hear scratches of some foul beast." [Begin the Bridge] The Bridge is a room. The Bridge is south of A small hallway. "The Bridge is the common area in front of you and your roommate's rooms. There are several chairs and a minifridge. Your Roommate's room is to the west, and The Landing for the stairs is to the east." The minifridge is an enterable container in the bridge. The description of the Possum Carcass is "Typically road kill, this one is more Republic kill." after going north from the creaky door: if the Possum is alive: say "As you peer into the cobwebs, a fearsome Possum ambushes you!"; if the player does not have the Complete Works of Plato: say "You are caught by surprise, and do not survive his fearsome jaws. You are now dead."; end the game in death; otherwise: say "You reflexively throw The Complete Works of Plato at him. [if Cold Pizza is carried:] [say] "You poke your head into your roommates doorway. Why isn't the door ever closed? Anyway, you see him sprawled on his bed. You turn towards his desk searching for food. Oh goodness. This could be it." Cold Pizza is a thing in your roommate's room. Cold Pizza is inedible. Instead of eating the pizza while the pizza is inedible: say "This won't satisfy you unless it is piping hot." instead of taking the pizza: if player is not wearing pajamas: say "Your roommate wakes up! You realize you are naked, and die of embarrassment"; end the game in death; otherwise: say "You've disturbed his slumber, and he is furious."; if the player has the stale beer: say "You offer him the stale beer. He scratches his head in puzzlement, but takes it and seems placated."; now the player has the pizza; say "You now have a piece of Cold Pizza"; otherwise: say "In his rage he throws you through the window. Some people value their sleep."; end the game in death; [else: "Your roomate slumbers peacefully, nuzzling the half empty beer bottle."] [Downstairs] The Living Room is a room. The Living Room is east of The Bridge. The description of the Living Room is "Eerily silent. This must be one of the only times there isn't someone hanging out in here." The Comfy Couch is a thing. The Comfy Couch is in the living room. The description of the Comfy Couch is "The best thing the previous tenants ever did was leave this couch here. You don't sit on it, you sink into it." [Hidden:Your Wallet is in the Comfy couch.] The Kitchen is a room. The Kitchen is north of the Living Room. The description of the Kitchen is "You have reached ground zero of your quest. Surely this would be the ideal place to find a snack?" The Cabinet is a thing. The Cabinet is in the Kitchen. The description of the cabinet is "All of your cabinets are barren. But what you need now is some instant satisfaction." The Microwave is a container. The Microwave is in The Kitchen. The description of the Microwave is "The most magical of devices.
