"Wedding Hunt" by Dominique Lewis The Hallway is a room. "'You are standing in the hall of your new two-story house in Stoney Brook, Georgia. You were just about to leave. You are getting married this weekend, and you should be on the way to Gatlinburg, but you forgot your fiance's wedding band. Which direction will you go to find it? To the west is the Living Room. To the east is the Kitchen. To the north is the Bedroom. To the south is the Library." Living Room is west of the Hallway. "You enter the living room. You get the key from the magazine box by the TV and walk across the room and unlock the jewelry box on the mantle. Nothing is there. Where did you leave it?" The Kitchen is east of the Hallway. "The kitchen sink is still full of pots and pans. Your cleaner promised she would come after cleaning the Reynolds' home at Noon, but she hasn’t made it yet. And it's almost 5 p.m. No ring box in sight. However, you did find your grandmother’s blue earrings that she gave to you to wear on your special day before she passed away ten years ago. You take them." The Library is south of the Hallway. "You had spent the last few nights reading Woman of Light by Kali Jahardo-Anstine, which is resting on the night stand near your gray chaise. No ring box in sight. BUT, your sheer white bridal veil is resting on the back of the chaise! You grab it." Bedroom is north of the Hallway. "You head to your room. You turn on the lamp and open the top drawer of your chest. You find your purple Love is Kind journal with your folded pages of your vows tucked in between. You pick up the journal. You turn around to see your best friend/maid of honor down on one knee, laughing while holding the ring box you dropped outside."
