In fact, it seems to be a bit too stinky for a toad.". The blue sky is scenery in the oft."The sky is blue. Surprise, surprise!". The trapdoor is a door. It is scenery. It is below the oft and above the Cavern. After examining the back of the slimy green toad for the first time: now ToadSeen is 1. Instead of smelling while in the oft: if toadseen is 0 begin; say "The stench of the toad wafts stinkily up your nostrils."; else; say "That smell is too strong.[line break] Something must be wrong.[line break] You look down, and find nothing more[line break] than a small, green trapdoor!"; now trapfound is 1; now toadseen is 2; now the trapdoor is not scenery; end if. Instead of doing something to the trapdoor when trapfound is 0: say "You can't see any such thing.". Instead of going down from the oft when trapfound is 0: say "You can't go that way, unless it means jumping off the toad.". Instead of jumping while in the oft: say "You slip off the floating toad..."; end the story. The cavern is a room."You are in a cavern, high up on a pole. A doorway to the east leads outside.".
