The ocean is a room. " You wake up as a Mermaid lost in the, normally calm, deep blue ocean. A giant storm is going on around you. You are being pushed and pulled left and right. Out of your peripheral vision you can just barely make out an underwater cave to the east. Perhaps you should head east to get refuge from the storm." east of the ocean is a cave. The cave is a room. Test me with "go east" " Once inside the gargantuan cave you find that it's pitch black, you feel along the rough, rock wall and find a smooth light switch..." The light switch is a device in the cave. The light switch is fixed in place. The light is switched off. Instead of switching on light: say "Beautiful lighting floods the vast cave. You peer up to see where the bright lights are from, but the ceiling seems to go on forever. You look back in front of you is a treasure chest." The treasure chest is a closed openable container in the cave. Inside the treasure chest is a detailed map. Instead of taking: say "You open the mahogany chest and inside its great wooden jaws you find a antique, wrinkly map. The map gives you two choices of how to get to your home. You can go west, it looks dangerous but is a faster way home, or north, it looks safer, but it will take much longer." West of the cave are sharks. Sharks is a room. After going west: say "It turns out that your trail west was just a wrinkle in the map. As you wearily traveled west, the ocean became more frigid, and you suddenly got the feeling that you were not alone. You slowly turned around, and you were face-to-face with a great white shark. As you screamed your last scream, and gulped for the fresh crisp air, your salty tears mixed with the freezing ocean water. You were brutally eaten and never seen or heard from again."; end the game in death. North of the cave is home. Home is a room. After going north: say " After hours of seemingly endless ocean, you finally reach your welcoming home. You break down in tears like Odysseus after he reached his home land of Ithaca. You rush to see your family inside and tell them about your perilous journey."; end the game in victory.
