"alleyway possums"

[INTRODUCTION]

when play begins, say "just an average day, walking around, looking for chocolate bars. your little possum feet can't take much more of this, but you're hungry, so you keep walking..."

[your nest]
the your nest is a room.  the description of the your nest is "you wake up on a pile of trash. this isn't out of the ordinary though, it's your bed. you sleep here all the time. you look around and see what you see every morning: the entryway to the alley, the dumpsters next to your bed, and your most prized possession: your little wooden box. this box contains an assortment of delicious snacks such as, the ends of carrots, banana peels, chip bags with crumbs at the bottom, and your favorite, chocolate bars."

[busy street]
the busy street is a room. the busy street is north of the your nest. the description of the busy street is "you come out from under the cool shade of the alleyway, and see the busy street. the people strutting by, and the cars before you are moving so fast that they look like a big colored blur. but, you've seen this too many times to feel afraid, so on you walk in search of breakfast."

[tony's pizza place]
the tony's pizza place is a room. the tony's pizza place is west of the busy street. The description of the tony's pizza place is "the smell of pizza infiltrates your nose. it is warm, and welcoming, and makes you feel even hungrier. every day you walk by here, and every day you have to resist the temptation of going inside and stealing some pizza. the only way you can keep yourself going is by repeating in your head, over, and over: chocolate bars chocolate bars chocolate bars..."

[Jen's market]
the Jen's market is a room. the Jen's market is west of the tony's pizza place. the description of the jen's market is "after the smell of pizza leaves you nose, you come up on Jen's market. the sight of beautiful fresh tomatoes, carrots, and other delicious fruits and veggies makes you feel warm inside. then you spot something on the ground. it's green, and cube-like. do you wish to eat it?"

the rat poison is a thing in the Jen's market.

after eating the rat poison:
say "you ate the rat poison and the game ends"
end the game in death.

[sunny seeds flower shop]
the sunny seeds flower shop is a room. the sunny seeds flower shop is east of the busy street. the description of the sunny seeds flower shop is "the hot concrete warms your little feet, as you walk past the sunny seeds flower shop. the sound calming of buzzing bees fills your ears, and you can smell the pollen from all the flowers. it makes you want to fall right back asleep, but your hunger keeps you awake. here you notice a spill of some kind. you lick it to taste it. it's coffee. this gives you an instant boost of energy, so you walk on to find breakfast."

[92nd Ave]
the 92nd Ave is a room. the 92nd Ave is north of the sunny seeds flower shop. the description of the 92nd Ave is "as the sights of the flower shop fade from view, the sound of zooming cars fills your ears once more. you're coming up on 92nd Ave.  this is your least favorite part of your day: crossing the street. you see an opening, and make your move. you reach the other side safely, and continue searching."

[93rd Ave]
the 93rd Ave is a room. the 93rd ave is north of the 92nd Ave. the description of the 93rd Ave is "after crossing the street, you take a moment to catch your breath. then you see something that excites you. is that a...chocolate bar!? you flip it over with your nose, and feel all the excitement leave your body. it's empty. your stomach growls with hunger, and you keep walking."

[quick fix watch repair]
the quick fix watch repair is a room. the quick fix watch repair is west of the 93rd Ave. the description of the quick fix watch repair is "your next food idea is to go to quick fix watch repair. they're nice, and usually feed you. but, as you near it, you see the sign on the door that reads: sorry, we're closed. you're about to give up, but you still keep walking."

[corner store]
the corner store is a room. the corner store is west of the quick fix watch repair. the description of the corner store is "you're about to give up and just go home, when someone walks out the door of the store and something falls out of their pocket. it's a chocolate bar. you try to contain your excitement until the person leaves, and when they do, you quite literally dance all the way back home to your nest. and there, you feast." 

the chocolate bar is a thing in the corner store. 

after taking the chocolate bar:
say "Hooray you won!"; 
end the game in victory.
