"Night Shift Z: An (UNFINISHED) Interactive Nightmare" by Travis Use no scoring. [add intro paragraph here] The Car is a room. "The interior of your car is a cacophony of miscellaneous odds and ends ranging from old receipts of your last oil change to crumpled fast food bags that may or may not contain the forgotten remnants of cheeseburgers past. The seats are worn and the once sleek and sexy wood grain in your dash is now peeling and drab, but she rolls and that's all that matters." The glove box is in the car. The glove box is a closed openable container. In the glove box is an access badge and a lighter. [for accessing the building and office] The description of the glove box is "There's nothing special about the glove box. It's pretty much... a glove box. It doesn't lock (and you're not entirely sure it EVER locked) so it's the perfect place to store anything you wouldn't mind losing in the event of a break-in." The description of the access badge is "A standard electronic access badge with some sort of serial number on the back and a picture of your smiling mug on the front." The description of the lighter is "Your trusty flip top lighter. Though you rarely add fuel it seems to keep working like a charm." Outside of the car is The Garage. The Garage is a room. "The parking garage is mostly empty except for you and your car. The air still smells of stale cigarette smoke from the smokers who inhabit its confines during the daylight hours. You can hear a soft rhythmic dripping sound coming from some undiscovered leaky pipe overhead, and the pavement is covered with countless chewing gum and oil stains. A walkway to the west leads up to the office building's entrance." The rusty car is in the garage. [had to use "rusty car" because "car" confuses the interpreter] The description of the rusty car is "Your trusty rust bucket sits silently in the dark. It's hard to tell in this lighting, but the car used to be a shiny blue before the rust and bird shit took over. The trunk is slightly ajar." The trunk is part of the rusty car. The trunk is a closed openable container. In the trunk is an old oil rag and a spare tire. The spare tire is fixed in place. The description of the trunk is "Leaky and rusty, just like it's supposed to be." The description of the old oil rag is "An old rag you keep around in case you need to unscrew your hot radiator cap. That's pretty much all it's for." The description of the spare tire is "A spare tire that's probably safe enough to drive on in a pinch. The pressure hasn't been checked in ages because who has the time?" The Walkway is west of the Garage. "You're standing on the walkway leading up to the office building's main entrance. The door leading in to the building has a built in card reader." The metal door is a closed door. The metal door is a locked door. The access badge unlocks the metal door. The metal door is west of the Walkway. The Lobby is west of the metal door. "You're standing in the lobby of the office building's ground floor. The marble floor beneath your feet looks nice and does a good job of justifying management's excuse for not giving you a raise. To the north you can see a large marble fountain." The welcome desk is in the lobby. The security box is part of the welcome desk. The security box is a locked closed openable container. The small key unlocks the security box. The blue switch is a device inside the security box. The half eaten donut is in the security box. The description of the half eaten donut is "Just like I thought, that fat fuck was stashing donuts. This one is pink with sprinkles." The half eaten donut is edible. The description of the welcome desk is "The large round welcome desk is normally where you would see the large round security detail napping away, however tonight it sits empty. Papers are strewn about the desk and the chair that normally supports your large unconscious friend is knocked to the side revealing a security box." The papers is fixed in place on the desk. It is scenery. The description of the papers is "The papers look to be a combination of take-out menus and sign-in sheets." The description of the security box is "A small black box affixed to the bottom of the welcome desk. Looks like it could be used to store keys or visitor passes. Or donuts, in the case of the missing security guard." The Fountain is north of the lobby. The Fountain is a room. "You stand before a large marble fountain. The base of the fountain is approximately 2 ft deep and full of blue-green water containing more pennies than you care to count. The top portion of the fountain is a marble sculpture of Atlas holding a globe over his head in the usual Atlas-y fashion. The main elevator is to the right of the fountain." The Elevator is east of the Fountain. The Elevator is a room. "You're standing in the main elevator. A familiar muzak rendition of 'Don't Fear the Reaper' is playing quietly over the speakers. The carpeting is a horrendous baby-shit green that looks like it hasn't been replaced since the 1970s." The white button is a device inside the elevator. The description of the white button is "The button will take you to the Office." Instead of pushing the button: try switching on the button. Carry out switching on the white button: move player to the Office. The Office is a room. "[if the Office is unvisited] You step off the elevator into a small greeting area before a set of large double doors. There are various certificates and generic office paintings hanging on the walls. After the elevator doors close you hear the sound of scraping metal and the buzz of an alarm coming from behind them. This elevator never fucking works, at least you didn't get stuck inside this time. Looks like you'll have to take the stairs down. [end if][if the Office is visited] You're standing in a small greeting area before a set of large double doors. There are various certificates and generic office paintings hanging on the walls.[end if]"
