"Save the System" by Ian Guard and Dane Isara


When play begins:
	Say "Hello Player! You will have to read to win but I trust that you can read. To navigate through this game, type north, east, south, west, southwest, southeast, northwest, and northeast. To interact with objects you may type, take, give, eat, look at, etc. If talking to an object in the game does not work, try to look at the object instead. LOOK AT EVERYTHING, they will give you DIRECTIONS."

Start is a room. It is east of Washington DC. "You are in the Great Depression. You may leave at anytime but you will let down the US economy. California, Mississipi, Colorado, and Washington DC are states you may visit. New Deal Acts are set in place and are ruining the economy. Your task is to figure out how to show Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the US president, how each act is ruining the economy. The scoring system is every piece of information you give to FDR to inform him of the situation, your score will improve. Washington DC is to the west. Good Luck."

California is a room. It is east of the Corporation. It is west of Washington DC. It is southwest of Mississippi. It  is northwest of Colorado. "You have arrived at California! The view is very pristine and beautiful, full of seagulls and crowds of people. There are businesses everywhere, but one Corportation stands out to the west. A kid walks with a bag and a camera. Washignton DC is east. Colorado is southeast. Mississipi is northeast. A corporation lies to the west."

The Corporation is a room. It is west of california. "Welcome to the failing Corporation. It has been negatively effect by the National Industrial Recovery Act. The wages have increased and because of this many workers have been laid off and amount of gross produce is lessened."

Corporation contains a desk and a piece of paper. 

Instead of taking desk:
	Say "You are a scrawny child, do not touch heavy objects."

The description of the Piece of Paper is "Wages increased 25%, Unemployment is 25%, enjoy your $750 annual income, hopefully you can buy some bread for the homeless:)."

California contains an apple. California contains a kid. The description of the kid is "Take this camera and give it to FDR, he will find great value in these pictures." The kid contains a camera. [if you take the camera the kid takes your apple][otherwise][the kid has the camera][endif] The apple is edible.

Instead of taking the kid:
	Say "The kid doesn't want your company."

The description of the camera is "As you look through the photo you see a descimated american west because of the dust bowl. You see a picture of block long unemployment lines, and you see workers just not making it. Then theres a picture of a family listening to FDR's fireside chats which are failing to recovery the economy."

Mississippi is a room. It is northeast of California. It is northwest of Washington DC. It is north of Colorado. "You are now in Misssissippi. It appears to be suffering and has bread lines and unemployed families everywhere. There is a man in a very luxurious, expensive suit with a gold grandfather watch who looks out of place. Washington DC is southeast, Colorado is south and California is southwest."

A man named Henry is in Mississippi. The description is "The man dressed in a very luxurious, expensive suit with a gold grandfather watch is the VP named Henry, he susgest you should go to the corporation to find an artifact that shows FDR why the New Deals Acts are failing."

Instead of taking Henry:
		Say "Careful, you might get in trouble trying to kidnap a VP."

Colorado is a room. It is southwest of California. It is southwest of Washington DC. It is south of Mississipi. "Please enjoy the state of Colorado, which you have recently arrived in. There is a field full of vegetables and crops to grow.  There is a farmer homeless on the side. A little far to the right of the farmer there is a abandoned house that you can enter. To the northwest is California, north is Mississippi and northeast is Washington DC. To the south is a abandoned house in the dust bowl."

A homeless farmer is in Colorado. The description of the farmer is "Go to the abandoned house, find something to give to FDR in order to have him stop this New Deal Acts."

Instead of taking the farmer:
	Say "He is gross, you do not want to touch him."

Abandoned House is a room. It is south of Colorado. "You walk in through a screeching door to see dust everywhere. Nothing is able to be made out, not even the couch. The chair is so disgusting and the desk is yucky. You see a corner of brown journal paper."

Abandoned house contains a journal page. The description of the journal page is "Hi friend, I do not know when you are reading this but my family and I have left our house and have set out for California. The dust bowl had taken over and we were kicked off our land beecasue the Agricultural Adjustment Act only helped the land owners. The tenant farmers such as myself were let off and you see what I have let behind. I am so sad and I am a failure because my family is suffering because of me. Please find out how to help by giving this to FDR."

Washington DC is a room. It is east of California. It is southeast of Mississippi. It is northeast of Colorado. "Welcome the the place of the president. On the streets of D.C., outside of the gates of the white house there are homeless, unemployed citizens camping on the streets. The White House is fenced in and needs a key in order to unlocked because it must it secure the Roosevelt family. There is a newspaper that is located on a bench that seems it was left behind. California lies to the west, Mississippi lies to the northwest, and Colorado lies southwest."

A newspaper is in Washington DC. The description is "Stock Market crashes and Three New Deal Program were established"

FDR is a man in Washington DC. The description of FDR is "A man sitting in a wheel chair with a top hat and a snazzy jacket." 

Instead of taking FDR:
	Say "He is the President, you do not have the authority to do that."

Maximum score is 100.

	Move camera to FDR;
