When play begins: say "I didn't mean for anyone to get hurt, but that's just how events unfolded. It’s been a month since I was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced for 80 years of hard time. As one would expect, the living conditions here aren’t exactly what you might call ideal. Fortunately, I have a plan to escape..." The Cell is a room. "I open my eyes, laying on my cot as my vision slowly adjusts to the darkness. It is a few minutes past midnight and most of my fellow inmates should be asleep. Remaining still, I listen for any sign of the night guard —silence. As scheduled, the night shifts are undergoing a rotation, giving me some time to escape. The patrol should be fully established for the next week at about 4 am; it’s time to make my move and get out of this hell hole." There is a bed, drawer, and toilet within the cell. The toilet is fixed in place The bed is fixed in place The drawer is fixed in place the description of the toilet is "Dirty and accompanied by a horrible stench, it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. Best to ignore the foul object and concentrate on the task at hand, lest I draw attention to myself by vomiting." the description of the drawer is "It is an old and battered drawer with nothing on top of it, well, except for the thick layer of dust. The compartments are all unlocked as I left them." The screening at this prison isn’t exactly something to write home about." the description of the apple is "The peel is red with a few brown spots. The soft sound of snoring fills the area, with the scarce lighting casting jagged shadows along the floor. Grimacing to myself, I steady my breathing and recall my mapped escape. Towards the north is the cafeteria. Towards the south is the recreation room." the cell door is east of the cell The cafeteria is a room. Layers of grease line the walls while bits and pieces of leftover food are scattered across the floor. To the south of the cafeteria is the hallway. To the north of the cafeteria is the security room." There is a fridge, microwave, and sink within the cafeteria. It must be brand new and replaced no more than a week ago. My stomach growls as I imagine the gourmet food held delicately within the shelves of the fridge.†In the fridge is a quiche. The description of the quiche is “A scrumptious looking pie with a bright yellow filling. The crust seems to be a bit soggy but I can smell the tangy aroma despite it being cold. †The quiche is edible. After eating the quiche: say “I eat the quiche. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a meal this good, but best not to dally here any longer. I can eat as many quiches as I want once out of this prison.†The description of the microwave is “This brings back memories of my grade 10 science project. I definitely deserved a better mark. Maybe there's some food I could heat up with this.†The description of the sink is “Looks cleaner than all the other things here. Probably because it’s almost never been used. That must be why the food tastes so bad.†The control room is a room. The control room is north of the cafeteria. The control room is a room. “I take a cautionary glance through a crack in the doorway, finding the room empty. I release a short sigh, the guard is likely preparing for the new rotation as well. Entering the room, I take note of the numerous monitors and switches. The controls to the fire exits should be here somewhere.†The leather case is a lockable openable container. The description of the note is "A thin piece of paper with washed out numbers that seem to resemble 1,2,1,8." The description of the leather case is "It looks like it might contain something of importance. Seems to be of high quality and appears to be very thick. I might need something sharp to pry it open." There is a flashlight and a leather case in the control room. The description of the flashlight is “Feels really heavy. This thing must be able to light the way for miles.†Instead of eating the flashlight: say “I don’t want to ruin my appetite for when I get out of here.†The fire exit is a closed locked door. The note unlocks the fire exit. Understand "1218" as the note. The description of the fire exit is "A thick metal door with a keypad on it. It seems to require a 4 digit code to unlock it." The fire exit is north of the control room. The Outside world is north of the fire exit. after going through the fire exit: say “Exiting the door, I am greeted with a gust of fresh air. I am taken back by the stars lighting up the night sky. I begin to run without stopping, not looking back. Freedom at last. p><b>*** You have won *** ." The recreation room is a room. The recreation room is south of the hallway. “Countless low budget exercise machines and equipment can be found here. To the north of the recreation room is the hallway. To the west of the recreation room are the showers.†There is a barbell, treadmill, and towel within the recreation room. The treadmill is fixed in place. The description of the barbell is “A blunt, heavy object. Currently doesn’t have any weight on it. Perhaps it could be used to take down someone that’s blocking a pathway.†The description of the treadmill is “Looks pretty old-fashioned. Anyways, now is not the time to burn off some calories.†The description of the towel is “A soft white towel. One of the janitors likely forgot it here.†The supply closet is a room. The supply closet is east of the hallway. The Showers is a room. The showers is west of the recreation room. "It is musty and humid in here. There is an abundance of water droplets on the walls and the floors are slippery. To the east is the recreation room." there is a stone shard within the showers. the description of the stone shard is "Looks like a piece of broken floor tile that is decently sharp, might come in handy later on." There is a shampoo bottle within the showers. the description of the shampoo bottle is "A half-filled bottle of cheap shampoo, smells of fake lavender."
