"End of Days" Use no scoring. Dwanye's Apartment is a room. "You are Dwanye, a humanoid male firefly. You have just entered your usually plain white apartment. Today, it is lit a flaming hue of orange by the setting sun streaming in through the balcony window. Your best friend, Bo, and your ex-girlfriend, Pam, are in here waiting for you. Bo taps his foot impatiently. Pam wrings her hands anxiously." The desk is in Dwanye's Apartment. The chair is in the Dwanye's Apartment. The bed is in Dwanye's Apartment to the left of the bed. The description of the desk is "It is a mundane desk that you like but your girlfriend hated." The description of the chair is "It is wobbly and should be replaced soon." The description of the bed is "It is unrecognizable under a pile of your dirty laundry." Pam and Bo are people in Dwanye's Apartment. Talking to is an action applying to one visible thing. We must break into the Lawn Pro Step 3 and steal the formula within the next 24 hours in order to stop this genocide! We leave immediately. We can go northeast via your balcony and fly to the fortress entrance or we can go south through your front door downstairs through the street.'" The description of Bo is "'Bro, what are you doing?' he asks incredulously." The description of Pam is "'You lost all touching rights when we broke up,' she says irritably." The balcony is a open door. The front door is an open door. The balcony is northeast of Dwanye's Apartment. The front door is south of Dwanye's Apartment. The Sky is a room. The Sky is north of the balcony. After going to the Sky: say "The Sky is cloudless, streaked with shades of orange, pink, and purple. The sun shines behind you as it creeps towards the horizon. You, Pam, and Bo are flying purposefully towards the Lawn Pro Step 3 as the umbrae below you between the buildings grow. You are all halfway to your destination when, suddenly, you are all assaulted by the Evil Firefly Legion's Stealth Division 8 - snipers - in the dim light of the last rays of sun as it disappears below the horizon."; end the game in death. The Hallway is a room. "The Hallway is dimly lit. Every few steps, a lightbulb flickers inauspiciously. The carpeted floor is stained with grey patches of an unknown substance. The walls are painted a sickening shade of dull yellow. The front door to Dwanye's Apartment is north. The Streets is northeast." The front door is north of the Hallway. The Streets is a room. "You are on the Streets just outside of your apartment complex. It is now nothing but a shadow of its former self. Buildings that once hosted a flurry of life and activity seem to loom ominously, their only purpose now to cast large shadows on gray concrete. You notice that the only occupants of the roads and sidewalks are members of the Evil Firefly Legion, on the prowl for potential victims to terrorize. To the west is Flymart, and to the north is the Entrance to the Lawn Pro Step 3." The Streets is northeast of the Hallway. Flymart is a room. "Flymart, once a glorious symbol of capitalism, has clearly seen better days. You notice empty racks of clothing knocked carelessly onto the ground and scattered store items, both evidence of a ransacking." The cash box is a closed openable container. In the cash box is money. The female firefly suits are wearable. Flymart is west of the Streets. The description of the feminine hygiene products is "Pads, tampons, cups, they have everything here. You reminisce on the days you would buy them for Pam when she ran out and was feeling low. Since it's the practically the apocalypse, maybe you should take some for her... Nevermind, she would probably slap you." The description of the ointment is "You ponder over taking the wing cream, they HAVE been feeling a little dry lately..." The description of the oversize stuffed monkey is "Aw... so cute! You are immediately taken by its soft brown fur and adorable face. You feel comforted that despite the horrible environment, there is some good left in the world." The description of the female firefly suits is "Huh. That is a scarily accurate costume. Even Bo could probably work that thaaang." Understand "female firefly suit", "firefly suits", "firefly suit", "suit", "suits", "female suits", "female suit" as female firefly suits. The description of the tennis racket is "The metal frame feels cold and hard in your hands. Its wires are strung tautly in the center of the racket. The description of the rope is "The package says it's 20 meters and made from yellow nylon." The description of the sword is "The metal glints in the light of the florescent ceiling lights. The hilt is made of leather, and feels comfortable in your hands. You wonder why no one has bothered to take this sword. I mean, it's a SWORD!" The description of the cash box is "You shake it and hear a faint rustling sound. What could it be?" The description of the money is "$1000? Daz a lot of moolah!" Every turn: if the player has been in Flymart for 8 turns, say "Pam analyzes the store thoughtfully, and her eyes stop on the cash box, 'Hey, maybe there's something useful in there?' Bo wanders around, and suddenly grimaces at the tennis racket section, 'Trust me guys, you do NOT want to be attacked by one of those.' As you explore the store, you stop and question the purpose of a female firefly suit." Entrance to the Lawn Pro Step 3 is a room. "You light up your derrière in order to see, as night has fallen and without your bioluminescence you wouldn't be able to see three metres in front of you. You try not to shiver as you approach the fortress. Its high stone walls seem to rise endlessly, and you notice battalions of evil fireflies patrolling the skies. You notice that it is in the shape of a giant can of pesticide, as some sort of macabre tribute to DaFinest and her evil plan. As you approach the entrance, you notice with dread that there is a guard in front of the gates. You must get past the guard to go north through the wooden gate into the Lawn Pro Step 3. Perhaps one of the items from Flymart can help you get past him?" Entrance to the Lawn Pro Step 3 is north of the Streets. The wooden gate is an closed door. The wooden gate is north of the Entrance to the Lawn Pro Step 3. The guard is a person in Entrance to the Lawn Pro Step 3. Instead of doing something to the wooden gate: say "The guard says gruffly, 'No outsiders are permitted in the Lawn Pro Step 3.'" Instead of doing something to the wooden gate, say "You pull and push helplessly at the wooden gates." Every turn: if the player has been in Entrance to the Lawn Pro Step 3 for 3 turns, say "Pam turns and hisses at you urgently, 'Hurry up! Distract him! Bribe him! Disguise yourself! Gift him something! Attack! Do SOMETHING! We didn't go shopping for nothing, did we?!'" Attacking it with is an action applying to two things and requiring light. Understand "attack [something] with [something]" and "hit [something] with [something]" as attacking it with. Instead of attacking the guard with tennis racket: say "You close your eyes and blindly flail your arm in an attempt to subdue your opponent. You hear a sickening crack, and then a dull thump. You hesitantly open your eyes to discover the lifeless body of the guard at your feet. You try not to recoil from the waterfall of crimson that begins from his temple and is slowly making its way to the stone floor, and the sharp metallic scent of blood. You numbly stare at your tennis racket, until Bo interrupts quietly, 'We have to continue.' With great effort, you rip your eyes away from the dead firefly, and slowly make your way to the wooden gates. Pam wordlessly takes your hand, and you look up to meet her eyes. For the first time since the breakup, you see none of the bitterness and hurt that normally occupies her beautiful, piercing eyes. With a small smile, you grasp her hand a little more tightly, and enter the Lawn Pro Step 3."; move player to Lobby. Instead of giving money to the guard: say "The guard glances hastily at his surroundings. When no one else appears, he takes his key and unlocks the wooden gate. He quickly snatches your money and returns to his post, ignoring your party. You proceed to the Lawn Pro Step 3. You stop momentarily, full of discomfort, wondering whether or not this was too easy, but Pam grabs your hand and quickly pulls you inside."; move player to Lobby. Every turn when the player is in the Entrance to the Lawn Pro Step 3: if the player is wearing the female firefly suits, say "The guard is overcome his lust at the sight of 3 beautiful female fireflies (the costumes really did wonders for you and Bo). The dark eyes that once looked at your party with only disdain is now filled with passion. The soft sound of his wings fluttering gently is almost pleasant as he murmurs to himself, 'Ah... I want a mate...' In his incapacitated, dream-like state, you stop briefly to stare at the ridiculously display, but Pam grabs your hand and quickly pulls you inside the Lawn Pro Step 3."; if the player is wearing the female firefly suits, move player to Lobby. Lobby is north of the wooden gate. The Lobby is a room. "The Lobby of the Lawn Pro Step 3 closely resembles that of a posh 5-star hotel. It is virtually empty, with a huge chandelier in the shape of DaFinest glittering above you, easily the size of an adult elephant. Bo stares at it in confusion. The walls and floors appear to be covered with shiny, smooth, multicoloured marble. You realize suddenly that Pam's hands are still entwined within your own. It feels...so familiar, if you dare to think that way. You avert your gaze from the chandelier to her. Her brilliant blue eyes are bright with awe. She turns all of a sudden, and looks down at her hand still in yours. She chuckles awkwardly and hastily withdraws it. Your hand feels empty without hers. You see three doors and an elevator that only seems to go up. To the West is the Recreation Room. Northwest is the Research Room. East is the Training Room. Above is The Finest Room." Every turn: if the player has been in the lobby for 3 turns, say "'I think you should take that key card', Pam says." The expensive leather sofa is in the lobby. It is my responsibility as the head scientist to develop the ultimate gluten-free cookie for Madam DaFinest!’ the Scientist declares proudly. He proceeds to mutter, ‘...she...celiac disease...gluten-free cookies...I dreamed...great scientist...with a worthy cause...cooking gluten-free cookies for a lady firefly tyrant...I’m sorry to have disappointed you, father…’†Instead of asking Scientist about "celiac": say “‘IT IS THE DISEASE THAT HAS RUINED MY LIFE,’ the Scientist wails in despair before breaking down and curling up into a fetal position on the floor. He cries into his arms as he rocks back and forth.†Before eating cookie: say "It's gluten-free, are you sure?";remove cookie from play. The Recreation Room is a room. "This is the Recreation Room of Dafinest Lawn Pro Step 3. There is a faint scent of cigarette smoke that reaches your nose as you make your way further in. You see various Evil Firefly Legionnaires scattered around, smoking, drinking, laughing. Bo smiles widely as the bar comes into view. He loves tequila. Pam looks around warily, subconsciously clutching your arm. You pretend not to notice. For a moment, the Legionnaires seem almost normal, but then you quickly remind yourself that you are deep within the top-secret facility of a deranged dictator. The Lobby is to your East. Bo exclaims, 'Maybe show it to DaFinest and break her evil heart!'" The Training Room is a room. "Oh dear! It seems you have stumbled into the Training Room of the Evil Firefly Legion henchmen. You watch as dozens of uncharacteristically buff firefly men surround you and your companions. You wrinkle your nose at the fetid scent of stale sweat and old gym socks. The Lobby is to your West." buff firefly henchmen are people in The Training Room. After of talking to buff firefly henchmen: say "They don't seem to like you, Pam, or Bo. "This is The Finest Room, a.k.a DaFinest’s living space and office. It is reputed as 'the Finest' room in all of FlyWan. It is massive and completely carpeted in exotic wasp fur. Smooth jazz emanates from a record player in the corner. In the center of the room, directly in the center, is DaVial. Bo shudders while Pam looks around. Everything seems to be calm, until you hear maniacal laughter from behind you. The three of you whirl around to see the villainess herself--Madam DaFinest. [paragraph break] 'Quick!' Pam exclaims, 'use your items to defeat her!'[paragraph break] 'Defeat me?' Madam DaFinest sneers, 'courageous. Or perhaps...simply insane! You've come to take DaVial, I presume? Well. Tough luck. Instead of giving cookie to Madam DaFinest: say "Madam DaFinest tears open the wrapper and chomps viciously at the chocolate chip cookie, large chunks falling out of her mouth.[paragraph break]‘Gross,’ Pam says, shivering. [paragraph break]‘I never knew a woman eating could look so unattractive,’ Bo mutters, turning away. [paragraph break]Just after DaFinest finishes eating, she wipes her mouth roughly with her intricately embroidered sleeve. Suddenly, her face turns red and her eyes widen. You had no idea how much you've missed it. You regret letting her go. She's always been the one. You were just too stupid to realize.[paragraph break]'Alright, lovebirds!' Bo says, 'let's get out of here. Saving the world sure is exhausting. Who's up for some tequila?'";end the game in victory.
