"Rockets & Cockroaches" by Ivan The forest is a room. "You are surrounded by trees." A tree is scenery in the forest. The description of the tree is "This tree looks very climbable." Understand "trees" as the tree. Instead of climbing the tree: try going up. Treetops is a room. Treetops is up from the forest. The description of Treetops is "You are in the treetops. A bird's nest is here, too." A bird's nest is in Treetops. Some eggs are in the bird's nest. The description of some eggs is "The eggs look like a bicycle." Instead of taking the eggs: say "They blow up!"; remove the tree from play; now the description of the forest is "It's just a smoking pile of cinders."; move the player to the forest; remove the eggs from play. A room called the Building is north of the forest. "This building is actually a rocket ship." An engine is a device in the Building. The description of the engine is "fog machine." A can of baking soda is a container. The can of baking soda is open. The description of the can of baking soda is "box that is 999 feet hight." Instead of switching on the engine: now the can of baking soda is in the location; remove the engine from play; say "Poof!". A bottle of vinegar is a thing. Instead of jumping while in the Building: now the the player is carrying the bottle of vinegar; say "Suddenly you are carrying some vinegar." A cockroach is an animal. The description of the cockroach is "good food looking and creeping." The cockroach is edible. Instead of inserting the vinegar into the baking soda: say " the rock ship in a black hole with a cockroach"; now the cockroach is in the location. The can't take other people rule is not listed in any rulebook. a snake-haired girl is a animal in the Building. The description of the snake-haired girl is "turning people into stone". instead of examining something: if the noun is the snake-haired girl: end the story; else: continue the action.
