Santa is a man. Santa is in The Entrance. The description of Santa is "Jolly old Saint Nicholas."

"[if The Entrance is unvisited]'Ho, ho, ho! Welcome to the Christmas Gauntlet!' booms a jolly sounding voice from seemingly everywhere.

You quickly examine your surroundings. You're standing in a hedge maze. Again. The hedges are tall and dense. Snow lingers on portions of the hedge walls just like two years ago. It may even be the same snow. Wow - you think to yourself - Santa better have a pretty good excuse for using the same gimmick, like being sick a lot these past couple of months, or something...

'Ho, ho, ho!' the voice repeats, booming even louder. 'Let me tell you a secret, little girl. There aren't just two lists -- naughty and nice. There are-â€˜

â€˜I know, I know,â€™ you interrupt. â€˜Three lists, naughty, nice, and blah blah blah. Listen, you gelatinous gift-giver, Iâ€™ll answer your riddles, but Iâ€™m not mucking about in a hedge this year. I am SO not wearing the right shoes!â€™

It was true. Your flats, practical for the office or a night at the movies, would have been murder in a snow drift. 

Santa sputtered. â€˜Well, I, I...alright. Just a few riddles, then?â€™

â€˜Fine,â€™ you agree, warming a little under Santaâ€™s sheepish gaze. â€˜But there better be a present with my name on it.â€™

Santa assures you that there is - if you can answer three riddles!

Santa begins his first riddle.
