"Strega Nona's Kitchen" by You The Village Square is a room. "A sunny square with cobblestones and a fountain. Everyone in town whispers about Strega Nona and her magical pasta pot." Strega Nona's Kitchen is east of the Village Square. "The kitchen smells of garlic and fresh herbs. A large pot sits in the middle of the table." The Bedroom is north of Strega Nona's Kitchen. "A small, cozy room with a wooden bed and shelves full of herbs and old books." The magic pasta pot is in Strega Nona's Kitchen. The magic pasta pot is a container. The description of the pot is "It looks ordinary, but you know better — with the right spell, it will never stop making pasta." Big Anthony is a man in the Village Square. "Big Anthony is humming to himself, looking guilty. He seems to be avoiding eye contact." The player carries a wooden spoon. Instead of examining Big Anthony: say "Big Anthony blurts out: 'I... I might have used the pot when Strega Nona wasn’t looking...' He looks very nervous." Instead of taking the pasta pot: say "Strega Nona would not approve. Best to leave it where it is." A noodle is a kind of thing. A noodle can be edible. There are 20 noodles. [these start offstage by default] One portion of noodles is in the magic pasta pot. The incantation is a truth state that varies. The incantation is false. Instead of waving the spoon in the Kitchen: if the incantation is false: now the incantation is true; say "You wave the spoon and whisper the magic words... The pot begins to bubble! Pasta starts pouring out!"; otherwise: say "The pot is already overflowing with pasta!"; Every turn when the incantation is true: let newpasta be a random off-stage noodle; if newpasta is nothing: end the story saying "The pasta has flooded the entire village! Big Anthony will be in big trouble."; otherwise: move newpasta to Strega Nona's Kitchen; say "More pasta spills out of the pot!"; Instead of going west from the Kitchen when the incantation is true: say "You try to leave, but pasta is blocking the door! Maybe there’s a way to stop it..."; Instead of waving the spoon in the Bedroom: if the incantation is true: now the incantation is false; say "You remember the proper spell and wave the spoon again. The pot grows quiet, and the pasta stops. Disaster is averted!"; otherwise: say "Nothing happens.";
