"You find yourself in a kitchen that appears not to have been used in quite a long time. Rodents seem to have infested the broken cabinets. To the East lies a wood door which appears to be a closet." The moldy cheese is in the kitchen. "On a counter-top lies a forgotten piece of moldy cheese." The moldy cheese is edible. The description of the moldy cheese is "It looks edible, but unsafe." The wood door is east of the kitchen and west of the closet. It is a door and scenery. The description of the closet is "You open the closet door to discover that it, like the rest of the kitchen, is mostly abandoned. A small glass bottle filled with a dark viscous liquid sits on a shelf." The small glass bottle is in the closet. The description of the small glass bottle is "It is filled with a dark, nasty looking substance. A faded label partially reveals the words RAT POI..." The hallway is west of the the kitchen. "The yellowed wallpaper is peeling off in countless spots as you peer down the corridor. A lone window half way down the hall provides a dim view of the swamp outside. There are many doors leading off the hallway, but most look as if they haven't been used in decades. Next to a thick iron door at the end of the hall is large cracked vase." The hallway contains a large cracked vase. The large cracked vase is opaque. The skeleton key is in the large cracked vase. The vase is scenery. The view of the Swamp is a backdrop. It is everywhere. The description is "The crooked trees of the swamp are even more melancholy with the slow yet constant drip of rain." The thick iron door is west of the hallway and east of a sanguine room. The description of the blind man is "A haggard looking man who does not seem aware of his surroundings. He occasionally mumbles something incoherent to himself as he shuffles about, knocking in to walls." The desk is in the sanguine room. The description of the desk is "A worn wooden desk with no drawers. A solitary mug sits on top of it." The mug is on the desk. The description of the mug is "A dry old tankard. It seems like someone is thirsty..." The mug is an open container.
