"Slender Forest" by Henry Cliff and Harry King

When play begins, say "Slender is looking for you, if he catches you, you will die. Your aim is to find the gem and the 2 notes, and escape Slender Forest."

the Brown Shed is a room. The description of the Brown Shed is "The walls are crumbling: there is a dark cloak hanging from a hook on one stone wall; a tribal mask is hanging on the opposite wall, and there is a box on the floor beside you."

The tribal mask is a wearable thing in the Brown Shed. "A strange looking face etched on the wall is staring at you its a tribal mask!"

After wearing the Tribal Mask for the first time:
say "you are now wearing the Tribal Mask!"

After taking the Tribal Mask for the first time, say "You now have a spoky tribal mask!"

The dark cloak is a wearable thing in the Brown Shed. The printed name of the darkcloak is "the dark cloak".

After taking the darkcloak for the first time:
	say " You now have a dark cloak!"
	
After wearing the dark cloak for the first time, say " that cloak looks good on you, it twinkles in the moonlight"
	
The box is an opaque openable closed container. It is scenery in the Brown Shed. the description of the box is "just the average antique with an open latch"

 The rusty door is a closed, locked door. It is scenery. The rusty door is south of the forest and north of the Brown Shed. The description of the rusty door is "Your standard rusty door that can be unlocked and locked with the key."

In the box is the key. 

A thing can be lost or found. The hidden key is lost.

To decide wether to take the key:
if the key is lost,
say "But you havent found it yet!";
say "You have taken the key!" 
The key unlocks the rusty door. The description of the key is "a rusty key with a shattered coin on the end."

After opening the box:
				say "I say! there is a key here!"

After taking the key:
				say "You are now holding the key!"

After unlocking the rusty door with the key:
				say "the door is unlocked."

After opening the rusty door:
				say "You opened the door."
Slender Forest is a Region. Western Forest, Eastern Forest, Central Forest, Forgotten Path, forest clearing, RamThe Forest is a room. The description of the forest is "You are surounded by [dark trees] with three paths to the north, east and west. There is a fountain in the middle of the forest. There is a Brown Shed far behind you"

Some dark trees are scenery in the forest.

The description of the dark trees is "The dark trees loom over you, imagine what could be hidden within the forest..."

The fountain is scenery. The fountain is an open unopenable container in the Forest. The water is in the fountain. The indefinite article is "some".

The description of the fountain is "The fountain has a note pinned to the side of it. It appears to be written in blood"

the note is a thing in the forest.

The description of the note is "The note says: You have made it this far, but you will go no further..."

After taking the note for the first time, say "You now have the note!"

Instead of drinking the water, say "That's much better: you feel quite refreshed now...".

Instead of taking the water, try drinking the water

North of the Forest is the Forgotten Path

The Forgotten Path is a room.

The description of the Forgotten Path is "There is a path ahead of you, leading into the darkness"

East of the forest is the Eastern Forest.

The Eastern Forest is a room.

The description of the Eastern Forest is " You can't go that way, the woods look very dangerous..."

West of the forest is the Western Forest.

The Western Forest is a room.

The description of the Western Forest is " You can't go any further, the woods look very dangerous..."

West of the Forgotten Path is the Abandoned Graveyard.

The Abandoned Graveyard is a room.

The description of the Abandoned Graveyard is "There are many open graves here, it looks as if someone was looking for something..."



the open grave is scenery in the Abandoned Graveyard. 

the description of the open grave is "There is a deep pit infront of you, with a small piece of paper lying on the botom"

The tattered paper is a thing in the Abandoned Graveyard.

The description of the tattered paper is "The paper says: He will find you, and you cannot get away..."

After taking tattered paper, say "You now have the paper!"

North of the Abandoned Graveyard is the Forest Opening.

The Forest Opening is a room.

the description of the Forest Opening is "The forest seems to have thined out, saftey is within your sight beyond the metal gates"

A room called The Last Challenge is north of the Forest Opening. "Huge, tall gates stand between you and freedom. There is a small stone slab with an indent on it, the shape of a gem..."

The Metal Gates is scenery in The Last Challenge. 

The description of the Metal Gates is "Huge and spiked - there is no way over, round or through unless you can unlock them somehow..."

A small stone slab is a supporter in The Last Challenge. It is scenery.

The description of the small stone slab is "This stone slab apears to have an indent in it, in a rather gem-like shape..."

Instead of putting the hidden gem on the small stone slab:
	say "The metal gates... they are opening ! But be carefull Slender wont give up that easy...";
	end the game in victory.

East of the Forgotten Path is the Central Forest.

The Central Forest is a room .

The description of the Central Forest is "You can't go any further, it looks very dangerous..."

North of the Forgotten path is the Ramshackle Cabin.

The Ramshackle Cabin is a room.

Every turn when the player is in the Ramshackle Cabin:
	say "There is a run down cabin infont of you, the old wooden door has been partialy left open, it looks very dangerous... would you like to enter, Yes or no?";
	if the player consents, end the game saying "You entered the cabin to find a strange figure in the corner, wearing a suit and with a pale white face. Slender has found you"; 
	otherwise say "That probably just saved your life, did you hear that scream ?"; 
	now the player is in Forgotten path.
	
up from the Forgotten Path is the forest clearing

The forest clearing is a room.

The description of the forest clearing is "there is a small clearing in the forest and a birdhouse halfway up the tree."

The small clearing is scenery in the forest clearing.

The description of the small clearing is "quite a beautiful clearing, howeer dangerous at night..."

The birdhouse is an openable closed opaque container in the forest clearing. The initial appearance of the birdhouse is "The average pine birdhouse sits on one side of the clearing.". The birdhouse is scenery. The description  of the birdhouse is "It's made of wood and it looks like you could open its lid to reveal the contents."

In The birdhouse is the hidden gem.

A thing can be lost or found. The hidden gem is lost.

the hidden gem is a thing in the birdhouse. 

The hidden gem can be placed-correctly or not-placed-correctly. The hidden gem is not-placed-correctly.

To decide whether to take the hidden gem:
	if the hidden gem is lost, no;
	say "But you haven't found it yet!";
	say "You grasp it in your hands and it twinkles.";
	move the hidden gem to the player.
	
After opening the birdhouse for the first time:
	now the hidden gem is found;
	say "Opening the birdhouse reveals a beautiful gemstone within!"

Before examining the birdhouse: 
say "there is a beautiful green gem in the birdhouse."

After taking the Hidden gem for the first time:
say "you are now holding the magical gem. It glows in your hand!"
