"Delivery" by Sandra Koskinen Rule for printing room description details: stop. Include Rideable Vehicles by Graham Nelson. Chapter 1 - Closed Box Touchstate is a kind of value. The weights are lightweight, middleweight, heavyweight. Before going up: if the player is carrying a heavyweight thing: do nothing; say "You can't do that with a [list of heavyweight things carried by player].". Knocking is an action applying to one thing. Understand "knock on [anything]" or "knock [anything]" as knocking. Section 1 - Outside Outdoors is a region. The front lawn, the front porch, the back yard is in the outdoors. The description of the player is "You're a sleep deprived college student wearing a bright red uniform that you hate." The player wears a helmet. The player wears a uniform. Understand "clothes" and "clothing" as uniform. The description of the uniform is "God, you hate this uniform." The description of the helmet is "Safety first." Instead of taking off helmet: say "No need. This won't take more than a minute." Instead of taking off uniform: say "That's what we call indecent exposure." Front lawn is a room. "You're standing on a nicely kept lawn. There is a house to your north, with a birch tree just to the east of the front porch." The house is in the front lawn. It is scenery. "The house has two stories. It's painted an immaculate white, as far as you can tell in the yellow light from the street lights. The windows are dark." The tree is in the front lawn. It is backdrop. Understand "birch" or "birch tree" as tree. "You have to lean your head back to see the top. Probably a pain in the ass during fall." The sky is backdrop. It is in the front yard. The description of the sky is "The night sky is visible between the clouds. You can't find any stars." The scooter is in the front lawn. It is a rideable vehicle. It is portable. It is heavyweight. It is pushable between rooms. The description of the scooter is "A sorry hunk of rusty metal. You borrow it from the restaurant." After taking scooter: say "You fold up the kickstand so you can lead the scooter by the handlebars." After dropping scooter: say "You fold the kickstand back down and leave the scooter." Before mounting the scooter: say "You're not done here yet."; stop the action. The player carries a pizza box. The pizza box is a closed container. The description of the pizza box is "Supposedly an extra large peperoni.". Understand "pizza box" or "box" or "pizza" as the pizza box. Before eating pizza: say "Better not."; stop the action. Before opening box: say "Better not."; stop the action. Inside the pizza box is an envelope. It is a closed container. Front porch is north of Front lawn. Front porch is a room."The wooden deck looks like it's been swept recently. By the door stands a large flower pot filled with healthy-looking flowers." Here is a flower pot and the front door. The flower pot is an open container. It is scenery. It contains earth. It contains flowers. Understand "pot" as flower pot. The description of the flower pot is "It's just a normal clay pot." The flowers are things. They are scenery. They are fixed in place. Understand "flowers" as flowers. The description of the flowers is "The flowers are blue. Botany isn't your forte." Before taking flowers: say "You realize that would kill them, right?"; stop the action. The earth is a thing. It is in the flower pot. The description of the earth is "It's wet, like it's been watered recently." Understand "dirt" as earth. After taking earth: say "You scoop up a handful of dirt. Some of it gets stuck under your finger nails." The front door is north of the front porch and south of the southern hallway. It is a closed door. The description of the front door is "[if closed]The door is closed.[otherwise]The door is open.[end if] [if unprinted]There's no door bell." Instead of opening the front door: if the front door is unprinted: say "So you're planning on just barging in without knocking?"; [how to remove the (first opening front door)???] stop the action; otherwise: say "You open the door."; now the front door is open. Before knocking the front door: if the front door is unprinted: say "The door opens a crack, hinges squeaking. It hadn't been properly closed in the first place, you assume. You push the door open the rest of the way."; now the front door is printed; now the front door is open; otherwise: say "You rap your knuckles against the [noun]. Nothing happens.". Section 2 - Inside First floor is a region. The southern hallway, the eastern hallway, the living room, the office, the closet, the kitchen, the bathroom are in the first floor. Second floor is a region. The upper hallway is in the second floor. Inside from the front porch is the southern hallway. The southern hallway is a room. In the southern hallway is a hat rack, a mirror and a rug. The description of the southern hallway is "An long, dim hallway stretches out in front of you. The air is stale. Close by the door is a hat rack and a mirror." The hat rack is a supporter. It is fixed in place. The description of the hat rack is "It's empty. The surface of the shelf is covered in an even layer of dust." The mirror is scenery. It is fixed in place. The description of the mirror is "Hey, nice eye bags." The rug is scenery. The description of the rug is "It looks like something your grandma would pay a lot of money for. Maybe it's Persian? It's thick and soft. Dust billows up from under your feet." The living room is north of the southern hallway. The living room is a room. The description of the living room is "Your average living room with a sofa group centered around a large tv. There are some landscape paintings on the walls. A wilted fig tree stands in a corner." There is a door north of the living room and south of the back yard. The office is west of the southern hallway. The office is a room. The closet is east of the southern hallway. The closet is a room. The eastern hallway is northeast of the southern hallway. It is a room. The kitchen is north of the eastern hallway. The kitchen is a room. The bathroom is south of the eastern hallway. The bathroom is a room. The staircase is above of the kitchen and below the upper hallway. The staircase is a door. The upper hallway is a room. The upper hallway is above the kitchen. The back yard is north of the living room. The back yard is a room.
